ive been unsure of what ive wanted to do in the dueling world for a little while now. I feel as if with these new Exceed Monsters coming out Its time to make a new deck Damn Near completely, consider it a time of rebirth. Any Deck Types that some would sugjest? i opened the new exceed deck a week ago and from this moment im considering myself a New duelist completely! so time to relearn the rules and everything....i wish i didnt throw the rulebook away *sigh*
All Jokes aside though, what type of decks might some sugjest? obviously everyones oppinions would be accepted also reasons behind them would be great, not just "there good" but legit reasons(well being good is a legit reason but you know what i mean)
Now as much as this sucks for me to even CONSIDER but im thinking of using the ban list. As some of you know... I hate and still dont see a reason for it HOWEVER, I Believe its time.

Well i dont know that much about you or your playing style, but these are the types of decks im interested in:
I am really looking forward to the Wind-up monsters that are coming in GenForce and Photon Shockwave. They look like they will be really fun, and i think someone told me they have been topping in japan? not sure how accurate that is. what ever the case, I want to make Wind-Ups. they seem to be good for both synching and exceeding, and they have an interesting play style. Which is they only get their effects 1 time while they are face up on the field, so you have to use effects that flip em face down or return then to your hand in order to "Wind-Up" their effects to be reused.
HEROes are on the horizon, the Masked and Vision HEROes are coming in GenForce and the Omni E Heroes are also on the way. we might start seeing alot of Super Poly HERO decks running around, especially after the Dark Hero gets released here.
Gem-Knights will probably get released in Hidden Arsenal 5 and 6, a fusion/exceed archetype which has its own recyclable poly. I've proxied a deck and have been testing it a bit. seems to hold its own pretty well against most other decks.

Well when it comes to my deck (which can be found http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20929907 ) I dont really have a focus, it was just effects i suppose, and for me it worked, sure it wasnt a 5 STAR super emmy winning deck, but it was ok to me. The only thing in common with all my decks were very few things such as harpies feather duster, Blue eyes white dragon (A MUST IN EVERY DECK I HAVE LOL), monster reborn , ETC. So issues being i dont have exactly alot of spendable money when it comes to cards although im hoping to buy a few packs from these new sets coming out. still i dunno whats big, funky fresh, and what not.

well... if all you wanna do is through random cards together that doesnt giev me much to work with lol.... Although if you like Blue-Eyes, there is a new Exceed monster coming in Phton Shockwave that is basically the Exceed Verion of Blue-Eyes Thunder-End DragonIt requires 2 lvl 8 Normal Monsters to Exceed summon, so if you build a deck based around swarming the field with Blue-Eyes you can Exceed for Thunder-End. as for Harpy Feather Duster, if you wanna go Advanced thats out... hell you cant even have Heavy Storm anymore... the best place to start is to either find a monster you like, or an archetype, or pick a type or attribute, and build a deck up from there. Do you wanna go Synchros or fusions, rituals, tribute summoning, none of the above?

But as i said im looking to get away from that. Synchros are pretty broad, there are Zombie synchs, spellcasters, beast, plant, dragons, or specific archetypes like Junk, scrap, fable, fortune lady, T.G., Six Sam, Agents, Blackwings, Watts, etc. or you can build a deck around a specific synchro you want to get out, like Shooting Star Dragon or Red Nova Dragon, the Unicorns, Life Stream Dragon, an Assault mode monster, Synchro Fusion monster any idea where you wanna start? oh, and if it makes you feel any better MST has been uped to 2 instead of 1 3nodding

SOLIDNSNAKE ganchroi A good "older" deck that might still work if you get a few of the newer cards would be dragons - they're never really gone out of fashion, and a Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon deck can really own due to his special summoning swarm ability from both the hand AND graveyard sweatdrop just a suggestion smile mind explaining more? Well his effect is: "You can remove from play 1 Dragon-Type monster you control to Special Summon this card. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster, except "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", from your hand or Graveyard." So he's able to special summon ANY dragon from your hand or graveyard, for example the blue eyes. Another good card for older dragons is ancient rules, as it's a magic card that special summons any level 5 or higher normal type monster, but blue and red eyes. Strong wind dragon is another good one, as his effect is: "This card cannot be destroyed in battle with a monster that has the same ATK. When this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a Dragon-Type monster, it gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the Tributed monster. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent." There's also the Red-Eyes Wyvern to get the Big Red-Eyes out: "During your End Phase, if you did not Normal Summon or Set a monster this turn, you can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Red-Eyes" monster from your Graveyard, except "Red-Eyes B. Chick"." Does this help? sweatdrop

'Tis awesome biggrin my bf runs one and it pwns more often than not razz btw he suggested to get the movie booster oack - it costs 5 euro here (3.50 dollars?) but you're almost always guaranteed a Junk Gardna in it apparently: "Junk Synchron + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls, and change its battle position. This effect can be activated during either player's turn. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can select 1 monster on the field and change its battle position." And also, the best place to go if you're looking for cards if your friends don't have them, it's ebay razz
