Yes, well, a friend of mine wants to try Geokinesis. I really don't know anything about it so I wasn't able to help her. Does anyone know any tips that would help her with this?

I suggest her trying to get in touch with he element she wants to use.I had to get to the point where I can feel the air around moving as i move before i was able to get enywhere with my aerokinesis.Try something that let's her get to know the earth better.I have a connection with the wind now and it helps me when i'm practicing, let her know that being in touch with your element helps.

It's also helpful to start of with your dominant ability. For a long time, I tried Pyro, but Cryo was my dominant so I got very little accomplished. Then I passed on to Cryo and picked it up easier and from there I've moved on to the others. Once you master what is natural to you, the others will fall into place. Not to be rude to Youkais, but it's not as simple as choosing the one you want to use. Each person has a different personality and ones personality reflects their psi.
As for Geo, it's a good move to begin by teaching yourself to Ground. Grounding is a useful ability to prevent yourself from going into a burnout and to make sure you have the mana to fuel your kinetics. However, I suggest you meditate for a while to find your dominant. After you've attained that, let me know and I'll/we'll help you along.

As for me.. I think my dominate is air and water... I haven't tried out Hydrokinesis properly yet so I'll try it and see how it goes. (I really expect nothing to happen since it will be my first time but still...) Anyways, I gave this link to my friend so she can read the advice from everyone. Thanks! Also, she might be confused as to how to actually do Geokinesis... anyone have any helpful instructions? Does one just sit and meditate on a rock floating>

On a floating rock? You won't be able to do that for a while I'm afraid. A good way to start is to find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed outside and settle down for a long meditation. For most kinetics, their dominant element is shown through visions in meditation. Once you are adept at meditating, set yourself down and attempt to persuade, yes, you read correctly, persuade the element to work with you.
Remember; elements are living spirits through mana, coercion (( Forcing )) is never a good path. Instead, persuade the element to assist you and create your mana bond. Through that, you can begin training more easily.

Sorry it took me so long to reply o_0 I didn't see that anyone posted in this thread ^^'
I figured that a floating rock would ba a long while off, I just wasn't sure exactly how you got started... Sadly, in my neighborhood there isn't a quiet place outside (or it is too humid to go outside) but I can always try anyways. I don't know about my friend's neighborhood though.
As for meditating... I know it's something I desperately need to work on. I usually end up meditating when I'm not trying, and when I'm trying I don't pull it off... Bleh... I guess I should stop rushing it and take it one little step at a time.
Persuade the elements? That's interesting... I usually just utter commands in my head for aerokinesis and imagine the feeling of th air as it blows harder and curl my hand in and out. Probably persuading (even though I have pleaded the wind to blow harder last yaer when I ws dying of heat sweatdrop ) is much better than what I'm doing right now. But... what do you think of when you are persuadeing the element? Or basically how do you persuade it? (If these questions make any sense...)
