PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE FIRST POST Objective:
Roll the dice to receive an adjective and a person. Write a short story about the character you roll.
Instructions:
Step 1: Observe the three lists. One with 100 adjectives, one with 100 realistic characters, and one with 100 fantasy/exotic characters.
Step 2: Decide on if you want a fantasy or realistic character.
Step 3: Hit “Reply”! In your post, specify fantasy or realistic. Under “Post Action,” select “Roll Dice”.
Step 4: Select to roll 2 100 sided dice!
Step 5: Hit post!
Step 6: Look at your post, you will receive 2 numbers between 1 and 100. In this post, I got 5 and 13.
Step 7: Look at the lists! Match your numbers with the list numbers. Congratulations, you have a new character. I would have a “Frumpy Avon Sales Representative” with my numbers XD
Step 8: Write a story about your character and post it in the story thread! I don't mind if you write a poem or a longer piece instead, but try to avoid mere character profiles. This is the writing workshop, so the goal of this game is to develop writing other than just roleplaying -w-
Rules:
1. Follow Guild Rules/Gaia TOS
2. Be sure to follow all the instructions! If you have any questions, just post in THIS thread without rolling.
3. Again, stories and poems only. No character profiles.
4. Remember, stories always have a beginning, middle, and end! There must be some kind of conflict or plot driving device. Causes make effects.
5. You get THREE REROLLS. By rolling once, you are committing to write something. Don't roll if you don't plan on writing. If you get something you're not used to, good! The point of this is to step outside your comfort zone, and write something different! You may pick from all 4 of your rolls and write about any character.
6. If you don't know what a word means, or what something is, LOOK IT UP. Yay learning!
7. NO QUOTING THE LISTS OR THIS POST
8. Make sure you post your final products in the story thread, so they don't get lost in here with the rolling!
9. DOUBLE POSTING IS OK IN THIS THREAD, but only if rolling/rerolling.
9. There is no word limit or minimum for stories. They can be as short as 150, or as long as 10,000! Just make sure it's a story, and not just a description or profile.
