That was enlightening." Snow flurries, throwing packed spheres, and hardly any sense of communication of attack went on. Nothing could be coordinated and everyone had to work off the other. "If I'm going to be chunin, there is no way I will allow this means of battle to unfold under my watch. Coordination, communication, and strategy will lead superb execution. Ideally." Sadayo spoke aloud, however, thought herself to be talking to her glowering samurai as she reeled in the other two weapons. Her expressed stale and far from amusement. She had apparently manipulated the Yuutsu puppet to collect one of the sparkling artifacts in one of its hands. When the dolls were close enough, Sadayo plucked out each unused forked rod previously given to a doll and then hurried to collect the rest once she finally found them.
There were a few who left before Sadayo even had the chance to say a word of gratitude for effort or offer criticism for a lack of teamwork. She eyed the love sick iron wonder skip to Bast and the tiny Zhi. The Taylor child was well and unharmed. Sadayo was relieved she didn't have to scamper over to this mysterious doctor. The thought did come up that a lesson in tap code might be necessary for her peers, however. She caught a glimpse of a taller youth in blue picking up one of the glittering remnants and it reminded of the girl of her own interests.
Sadayo raised her head and straightened her posture. She was trying to look dignified. She flexed a finger to make the frowning Yuutsu hold up and present the found item. After taking the gem in hand, Sadayo's attention went over her shoulder and sighed. It was lost to her that the lone gem already passed its power to her.
Her attention jumped to her puppets and the concepts painting themselves up in her head and then it jumped to Sonyo. The expression on Sadayo's face was considerably a tired one.

__ Zhi would turn her full attention to Taylor when he and Horus landed nearby. Tetsuhiko mentioned some kind of special training with Bastet, which honestly made her think she might be missing out. However, the thanks being offered to her were more important to her right now. "I'm just glad you're okay, Taylor. You were really amazing while you fought back there!" She'd look up to Horus and add, "You too, Horus. I'll get you a treat a.s.a.p~!" Then the request regarding the sage guy who had been fighting with the Snow Queen earlier came up. "Oh him? He's still over at the Eternal Forest where we- uhm... well y'know, said goodbye and stuff..." Her upbeat tone wandered a little, wondering if she'd have to say goodbye again. "He should still be there if you hurry." She put on a smile again as best she could to hide her worry. One way or another, she was going to have to really start dedicating herself to her training again soon. Watching how everyone else fought just now, she could see a gap growing by the passing days. Someone like her couldn't let herself so easily be left behind!! Zhi would take a moment to call over to Sonyo too, "Thank you for all those nice things you said! And also for taking care of Taylor" She waved energetically at the lady who had been entrusted with that adorable tanuki thing from way back. Zhi would wait for Taylor to take his leave before probably going over to meet up with Bastet and Tetsuhiko to find out what they were up to.
In the blink of an eye it was over; an arrow came shooting in like a star falling from the heavens. She knew it's color and likeness well, she had seen Nari's arrows plenty of times. The snow queen dispersed, and although some gave a nod or so to her, the rest went about their way or to check on Taylor. She smiled softly, but sadly, as she watched Taylor's friends gather around him-- he was surrounded with people that cared for him, people that would risk his life for him... no matter what happened in the past, he had found a place to belong. Hearing Sadayo's words brought that icy sadness back, the kind that settled in to her soul. The other female was right, and as the only other chuunin here, who had taken the lead, it was her fault. She should have been more aware, been more of a leader... She should have been more. Once again her weakness was more than clear to her, her failures... and also the distance that was always there. Hyouton members were cursed with it, a feeling like being behind an ice wall... so distant yet so close to the ones that you cared for. A small smile twitched at the side of her mouth as Zhi said her goodbyes; such a bright young girl...
Sonyo turned to the only other chuunin in the room, looking at this young woman who's face read of the same tiredness as hers. Reaching down to grab a pendant of her own-- a souvenir of a false goddess, an ideal to grow against --she made her way over to the puppeteer. "That... got out of hand. I'm sorry about that. As a senior chuunin I should be an example of what to do but.... Mmm.... " Sonyo trailed off, looking down, the doubt clear in her eyes for anyone who would care to look. "I hope I was at least an example of what not to do. Failure is the best teacher, after all." She looked back up at the woman, pride filling her eyes behind the sadness. "So a chuunin now, huh? I never got to congratulate you.... I'm so proud, Sadayo. I knew from the moment I saw you that you'd be a great shinobi, you're such an intelligent young woman."

Bast dispersed into particles when she was thrown and hit the ground as little more than a snow flurry. An arrow ended everything, much to her relief, right as she reconstituted. As soon as the danger vanished, she let her assimilation slip and brushed herself off. She snatched a falling trinket out of the air right as it was about to bonk her on the noggin, felt the weird boost to her energy levels, and briefly contemplated throwing the object away. That train of thought was interrupted by her ever-eager student and resident flamboyant puppeteer.
"Don't you ever get tired?" she asked Tetsuhiko, pocketing the trinket. "I just got told to chill out by a ghost and you're giving me a conflicting message."
She sighed and took a heavy swig from her flask, grimacing when she found it was mostly ice. She really wished she had smacked the Snow Queen around a bit more.
"Well," she continued with another sigh as Zhi joined them, "to even qualify for Oinin you need training in some sort of field medicine and plant identification. Sonyo's a go-to for all manner of botanical and medical questions. I need to review my medical training so I can renew my ANBU certification, so I'll need to do that too. I also need to hit the training grounds for a bit. Hm... guh, there's so much to do. Where do you two want to start, assuming you're of like mind about Oinin? And where's Hikaru?"

This battle only underscored how far he had to go. Once he saw Masato make a break for it, he too followed to the Dojo. He had a LOT of training to do.

There it was. Taylor saw the exact moment the fear crept into Zhi. The fear that he was going to leave just as he planned to initially. He smiled when she smiled though. She was going to know the truth soon enough. He turned and looked at Sonyo one more time. She was talking to Sadayo right now, and that was just right for the moment. With a nod goodbye he turned back to Zhi and thanked her for the info. Horus then soared in the air as Taylor followed on land. When he met up with him, he was going to have to meet up without anyone to lean on.

__ When Bast asked if Tetsuhiko ever tires he did a handstand for a few seconds and then an aerobic backflip. "Madam, my energy to get strong enough to start the shinobi renaissance of art is unyielding!" He then stood proud and struck a power pose with flexed biceps before doing some jumping jacks. Then he stopped when she continued her explanation. "I'm ready to begin! We should start at the training grounds, I have a lot of techniques to learn." He then settled on his final power pose.
__ Zhi thought about what Bastet said for a second, considering what little knowledge she had for either of those requirements that were mentioned. "I kinda know some stuff about plants already..." She'd briefly look over at Sonyo who was busy conversing with Sadayo. Then she realized something else. "Oinin... is uhh... what was it again?" Tetsuhiko seemed to be very eager to push his training, which Zhi could agree with. But honestly she didn't have any greater goal in mind except to catch up and get ahead if at all possible. "You know what? Never mind! I wanna be an Oinin too!!" She briefly pounded her little chest energetically, but paused shortly after. The mud from the melted snow was starting to get caked onto her clothes and skin, "Oh yeah, but I need a bath first! I'll meet you guys at the training grounds or wherever?" She'd suddenly add to answer the last of Bastet's questions, "Hikaru seems to be over near that place over there right now." Zhi pointed in a seemingly arbitrary direction, which happened to be in the same way that she could sense the last member of their team. "Do you think he'll want to be one of those Oinin thingies too, Bastet-sensei-sama?" She cutely tilted her head toward the left with that last question.
It seemed Ferrah's trick had missed it's mark as the snow queen had somehow frozen Bastet herself in place. Certainly that wasn't wasn't even remotely good, but even before she could form up new handseals an arrow pierced the witch's heart. The resulting explosion shot crystals outward in every direction that Ferrah could only assume was her actual body that had somehow been crystallized. Taking a piece that fallen close to her, Ferrah twirled in through her fingertips. A part of her wished that the queen would somehow show herself again. It might now show on her face but this war had awakened a bloodlust within Ferrah that she never knew existed. It would be interesting to see where it would take her in the future. In the mean time she kept the crystal in hopes that her body could regrow from it and made her way to the academy. She had some training to do.
๑๑๑๑Hideo seemed hesitant throughout the bout to make any offensive movements, choosing to instead as usual watch. And as he'd predicted when laying out a battle strategy before arriving with some of his fellow genin, all of her attack methods were meant to keep the masses at bay, starting with the giant ice wall. He'd theorized it was because despite all of her power she was quite frail, however he never got to fully test that theory. It didn't take long for things to descend into uncoordinated chaos to an extent, however amidst that it seemed an arrow was what did the spirit in. Catching a glinting crystal that emanated with chakra, his keen eyes watched as it seemed to seep into his pore leaving just an odd crystal behind. And as the sun broke through the clouds Hideo smiled saying aloud, "I hate to say it, but I'm glad to see the sun again in Suna. As novel as snow is, I don't think I'm built for it."
Hands behind his head the young Hyuuga looked up with his eyes closed, letting the warm rays of the sun beat down on him for the first time in quite a while. As he did, he heard Sadayo and Sonyo exchanging words on a topic he very much had fresh on his mind. After all, he'd spend time before arriving outlining a coordinated plan of execution, even going so far as to mention while doing so the inefficiency of shouting tactics on the field left and right, or worse not at all. All of that planning, only to get here and watch it go to waste; not that he was very particular about the others sticking to the plan. Still, as shinobi he figured a coordinated attack would have been more favorable than a free-for-all. Then again, as he thought about his company at the time, the majority were more accustomed to solving issues with their fists and throwing punches first and asking questions later.
Opening his eyes at last and slipping his left hand into his pocket, Hideo approached the pair casually before speaking, the expression of defeatism on Sonyo's face quite clear as he shrugged. "Too many Kage's and not enough ANBU, well that's the gist of it anyway. No matter how good of a delegator you may be, chuunin or otherwise, controlling the impulsive nature of some people is something that is simply out of your hands. I learned that the hard way myself after formulating a course of action before arriving only to watch it get thrown out of the window. Ahhhh, working alongside people who think with their fists and not their heads can sure be a pain, eh Sonyo?" As he finished his final thought, Hideo smiled lightly eyes closed for a moment. He hated putting in any more work than necessary, a testament perhaps to his propensity for preferring efficiency. So when people flew off the handle and made things more complicated whether for the better or worse, it irked him. There was after all a reason tactics were covered in the academy.

Tetsu was alone in his ambitions it seemed, as well as his crazy posing. More or less. Zhi was eager but didn't seem to know what she was getting into, which was less than ideal for a decision of this gravity.
"Oinin are hunter shinobi, usually deployed to deal with rogues and monsters. It'd be ideal to train a whole squad at once, so you and Hikaru joining in would be ideal. It's a very risk-prone job even among the standard shinobi fare, so don't pressure yourself to take on the job rashly." Bast hoped her warning to Zhi wouldn't go unheeded, but also wasn't really expecting it to change much if the girl had already made up her mind. The woman surpressed a grin at how adorable Zhi managed to look for a moment, but her years of training at being a stick in the mud made her well-suited for the endeavor. "We'll head to the training grounds. You and Hikaru can meet up with us later either for general instruction or Oinin training with Tetsu."
So saying, she'd wave goodbye to Zhi and stalk off toward the training grounds, feeling as though she needed a nap after all the excitement earlier.

__ Zhi quickly collected herself when Bastet momentarily put on a more serious face and described the situation to a perhaps overly-simplified degree. Her focus toward her beloved idol was intense throughout the three spoken sentences. "I will do my bestest, Bastest-sensei-sama! But if you decide that I'm not ready for it by the end of your teachings then I will find another path to become as great as you!!" She recalled Bastet mentioning something about ANBU. It was probably another advanced path, but also still worth looking into if other things didn't work out. Zhi had softly pounded her chest to show her earnestness for the little deal she offered. From there her hand raised up to offer a brief salute. "Bath. Hikaru. Training grounds!! Got it!!!" And just like that she zipped away like the little blue blur that she was.
__ Tetsuhiko was now ready to commence his mid-level training. He blew several kisses towards his sweet Sadayo and waved at Zhi with a flip of a lock of his hair. Then he theatrically bowed to everyone else in the area before following his sensei out of the area.

Ayame poofed into the VOID headquarters with Daichi by her side. "I'm gone for a few days and I come back to snow, then there's no snow. Guess the Snow b***h paid a visit." Ayame looked around at the faces of her genin...well most of them were now definitely chunnin. "I take it she may have been a little too rough." Daichi gave her a look, "It was snow....in the freaking desert Ayame....of course she was too rough." Ayame nodded then got a far away look on her face, "No don't you dare drudhe up that memory you be happy and proud." Daichi growled as he nipped her ear. "Petulent pup," she said rubbing the now sore spot on the tip of her ear. "Rotten Kage." "Buttsniffer." "I will bite you again." Ayame wrinkled her nose and gave a nervous laugh as she realized again that they had an audience, "Um....yeah...so," she cleared her throat, "First things first." Ayame went to the PA system and pressed a button. "Attention all Suna shinobi. Go to the academy. I repeat, go to the academy." Ayame turned back to the gathered crowd and smiled as she rubbed her hands together. "This is gonna be good." {POOFS TO THE ACADEMY}
๑๑๑๑Watching Ayame walk over to the PA system, Hideo prepared himself for what was to come by covering his ears, gritting his teeth as the system screeched to life with the same awful high pitched sound some of the older units emitted before anyone spoke. He didn't have to have his ears uncovered to hear what was said, after all he was quite close to the system as it were. Groaning with every word that passed rather loudly until it stopped, the boy looked as if he were winded by the volume of the system. Taking a moment to get himself together, shaking his head and dusting himself off he sighed. He was being dragged all over the place by voices in his head today it seemed.
"Well, I'll see you two at the academy. Hopefully we can wrap up the test I was to take before all of this weather happened." With a nod towards the two, Hideo was on his way.
