The mall sits on the edge of town, a halfway point between downtown and the suburbs. It is a sprawling, blocky building out of concrete, glass, and steel. On weekday mornings, expect to see lots of little old ladies in sweatsuits powerwalking past all the storefronts; weekday afternoons, look for mallcrawling teens and preteens sporting bags from the Goth Tropic and Atlantic Sun. Avoid the place on weekends- it will be full of suburban moms on their cell phones, barely keeping their wily sixth graders in their line of vision.
Two floors are lined with shops selling every kind of gewgaw or curio, stuffed animals and greeting cards, prom dresses and spiked collars. Three huge department stores are located at three of the corners. In the middle of the second floor, there's a sizeable food court where vendors are ready to provide you with hot dogs, sub sandwiches, a gyro or a teriyaki bowl.
The mall's not a bad place to meet with friends and grab some junk food and a new glittery top before hitting the movies or a club.

Akako lead Magda across the mall parking lot into the main entrance. Akako smiled softly and turned to face Magda. "See, it wasn't that far from the apartments. Its quiet nice actually to be close..." Her voice trailed off as she silenced herself to think. She turned back towards the mall and held open the door for Maggie. "I hope we will be able to find a place to work." She told Maggie.

((Uwaaaaaa I'm a bad person. OK, apologiesx80000000 and here we go!))
Magda exulted in the first rush of cool air that bathed her face when Akako opened the door.
"This'll be great, even if we don't! We totally get to check out the locals." She rubbed her hands together in anticipation and smiled and nodded her head in thanks as she passed Akako. "So where to first? Retail? Food? Services?"

((ooo I hate going to malls but an rp mall is different, so I am going to the mall!))
Rose entered the mall all spiked up and pretty. She wondered the mall bored to life as she looked around.

Xander tried to pull his clothes closer around him in an attempt to ward off the slight chill that he was feeling. It wasn't often that he got to go to a mall and he had to wonder just why the caravan would send him in here alone to fetch their things from the leather shop. He looked down at the list that he'd been given then patted his pocket to make sure that the money they'd given him was still there. His grey eyes widened and he swallowed hard, not used to being trusted with such an amount of money. It never once crossed his mind to take the money and run. If they trusted him like this and gave him food and shelter than he wasn't about to screw that up by making a run for it. He was in there for the long run, come Hell or high water!
Looking at the list again the silver haired dandy opened one of the doors of the mall and slipped inside, a slight smile on his face.

While wandering around, rather lost, Christopher happened upon the Abyss Mall. Happy to find somewhere to warm up for a bit, he pushed open the door he'd come to, and began to wander around, rather hoping that he'd find someone that actually knew their way around.

Xander was rather surprised at just how empty the mall seemed to be. He saw a few little old ladies powerwalking and mothers with their children as well but for the most part it was fairly empty. He licked his lips nervously and started looking for a mall map. He felt rather stupid for not having seen the large black thing as soon as he came in and he moved over to it, smiling to Christopher faintly as he went in his direction.
"Nice evening isn't it?"

Looking up as he heard someone speak, Christopher spotted the boy and smiled some as he replied "Yeah, nice... but cold..." he rubbed his arm some as he walked over toward the other.

Xander rubbed the inside of his wrist and went to the black board that marked where they stood and where all the other locations in the mall were. He searched out the leather shop first and then looked about to see where on the map the food court was. He wrinkled his nose slightly when he saw it was up on the second floor and he wondered if there was an escalator as he was feeling a bit lazy.
"So do you live around here?" Xander asked, trying to be friendly.

"Just moved here.." Christopher said with a nod "I'm Chris.." he said, extending a hand to the boy.

Xander hestitated a moment, never having been offered a hand to shake before. He'd seen others do it, mainly businessmen and the like. But when you lived in a gutter and performed on the streets for your supper you didn't get a lot of people offering to shake your hand and spend time with you. Xander's heart fluttered slightly and he took Christopher's hand in his, squeezing it lightly as he shyly glanced down at the ground then back up at the boy.
"Xander, it's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too.." Chris said with a smile before letting go of Xander's hand. "So.. what're you here for..?" he asked as he looked over the map.

Xander looked at the map once more, feeling slightly disappointed that he'd lost the contact so quickly. He pointed out the leather shop then blushed slightly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I was sent to pick up some items for the people I'm living with. They're having some of their leathers repaired and then they need things for the kids so I have to stop by the pet store."
