A large, hand-like set of rocks surrounds most sides of this oblong, almost toothpick shaped island. This island is Javelin Island...presumably for its rough javelin shape viewed in the sky. However, it's known unspoken and more commonly as 10th Branch. Javelin Island is the marines' primary presence headquarters in West Blue. Pirates avoid this island like the plague, as it is swarming with marines. No one without officially being in the marine ranks is allowed to even set foot freely upon this island. Hard-won from pirates and revolutionaries, Javelin Island serves as the front line base in the war against pirates, revolutionaries, and the occasional misguided bounty hunter. It appears to be a northward campaign.

NPC (Sever)

The majority of the fleet had returned, the stern blonde haired commander noted. They carried with them entire holds stuffed full of new prisoners, slaves soon to be. This was a quite profitable trade, though. She had several new accessories to prove it. The only hope now though, was that no higher ranking official showed up and questioned it. "Good, good. Yes Ensign, open gates Bravo Two through Five. You know why Bravo One never opens, stop complaining about it and do as I command. The captain left me in charge, do you want to incur her wrath??" Stern and cold as she might have been seen, Sever was an excellent second in command and shrewd businesswoman. She looked them over, noting that they were pathetic...weak, and generally weren't even going to earn their User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.500,000. Still, large sums of money for veritably worthless people. People who could be put to use. Sever recognized and respected that...primarily why she followed the captain.

NPC (Sever)

While observing and monitoring the arrival of the first fleet of ships, Sever stood and then shouted an order to move them to HA-One. In the mid process of doing so, a marine approached from behind her and saluted. Sever noted that and continued to give the orders. Once done, she turned and nodded, before striding to the nearest den den mushi and picking it up. "Commander Sever here.....yes...yes it is true. I am ready....yes I have a current shipment. Currently all collared and in a holding area, why? Oh....yes..yes sir. I understand completely. Now? Oh, yes yes. It shall be done. Please have the appropriate measures on standby, if you will, sir. Yes, Sever over and out." Sever then put down the den den mushi and began gathering troops. Dividing them into half, she had one half man begin herding the slaves back onto the ships. The other half remained on standby, cleaning and sharpening their weapons. "Are my lances ready yet?" Her words were cut and abrupt, but a marine indeed reported holding a bundle of what appeared to be javelins. "Good. You there, you are the highest ranking officer on the convoy. I am being transferred, with these men I have, over to the south. It's likely just a security measure. Therefore, when you return, you will be under a new commanding officer, but they have been informed of your presence. Now set sail, and your destination is Tequila Wolf. Don't tarry, or spend any unnecessary time hunting pirates. This shipment is at the direct world government's request. Let that be your motivator to ensure success and not failure. Now, to the rest of you. You all heard, so get on board the remaining vessels. NOW!" Sever added the last command with a harsh, loud tone, as she grasped and shouldered her bundle as she'd ordered to be made, and boarded a ship. They had a small problem to take care of first before making the official trip to the transfer. It was a decision made completely by the government. If she should fail at this task or arrive empty-handed, she had been warned about the price of failure. The possible rewards though, could be just as extreme, she noted.
