Welcome to Sanctuary Given. Thanks for joining us. I am vwytche and I'm sort of the the woman that knows what's going as apposed to the man in charge around here.( lol sorry bear)

I have been a practicing solitary for close to two decades. I have never felt the need to join a coven but I have had opportunity to share worship with a diverse amount of individuals over the years. What I know of Wicca and Paganism I learned in the trenches. It has been a wonderful journey filled with highs and lows, good times and bad.

Of course there is still more to learn. We stop learning when we die. I hope to use Sanctuary as a chance to teach, but also a chance to learn.

I'm Obscurus, magician and practicing occultist. I've been involved seriously with magic (either studying or practicing) for the past eight or so years but my occult or metaphysical experience extends back about a decade if we're considering meditation and working with life-force energy to be occult.

Over this time period I've delved into eclectic neo-paganism, Satanism, Eastern religions, parapsychology, and I've recently had quite an interest in spirits (both non-human and those of the deceased).

I like to think that there's really not a lot I haven't at least heard of in this area of study, but I acknowledge that I am nowhere near an expert in every area. I know a little bit about a lot, but only a lot about a little. xd

Hello, all, I am Drizzt! As I have mentioned before, I am a non-denominational christian and tolerant friend to any who wish one. I am a faithful person and I rigorously studying mythology and folklore. I do not know everything there is to know, but I endeavor to change that and immerse myself in every legend, myth, tale and story I come across.

I am open for discussion about such subjects if it interests anyone and I am as willing to learn as I am to teach.

I'm Ravyne Sidhe, please call me Ravy. Call me Ravy Gravy and I'll punch your lights out. I'm a studying atheistic eclectic pagan. Studying simply to gain more information on a lot of subjects from the various religions to Satanism to the occult to Wicca to metaphysics. I'm atheistic because I've had issues in believing in a deity for majority of my life (I'm 20, 21 in August) dating back to when I was a Catholic. I suffer from severe emotional issues, low self-esteem, low self-confidence so it would be more logical to believe in myself until I'm at a more healthier level where I can worship a deity. "How can you believe in something when you don't believe in yourself?" I'm an eclectic because I don't see the point in being apart of just one religion. It's boring and stagnant just to accept one religion and one set of deities so I prefer to take what I can from different religion and mixing it in a strange concoction. This path ironically matches my personality and family history because I'm a very eclectic person; I don't dress in one style but many. I don't like one type of music but many, etc. And I'm an American mutt, go figure. Pagan...well I'm simply not Christian, Muslim and Jewish, neither are my practices.

I've been involved in part of the metaphysical community for three years. Was introduced to it by several friends on the myspace chatrooms especially the Paganism chats. Was reintroduced to it by a good friend on imvu, who recently passed away.

I've always been interested in the occult when I was younger. When I was 10 I wanted to be a parapsychologist. I've studied paganism for 6 years, starting from when I was 14 and just researching my real name for a school project. I've been studying Wicca for about 3-4 years. Scarily enough I retain a lot of information on Wicca. :s

When I'm not studying, I play video games. I'm going to say it right now that I'm the resident obsessive video gamer. During the day and night on the weekdays I'm playing a mmo called Perfect World International. On the weekends I was playing Assassin's Creed 2, but this coming weekend I'll be play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood :3

Merry meet everyone. My name is Ella.

My parents did not want to force me into any specific religion, and thus I am unsure of what my true beliefs are. I am open to listen about anyone's religion, as long as they do not try to force me to believe it as well. I would love to just learn about different beliefs so I can decide what religious path I would like to follow when I am older.

I am also willing to talk if you ever have a problem. I'm very open minded and will give you the best advice possible. Making a person happy is just something I love to do.

Greetings, I'm Isis, or Kimber if you like, I was raised to believe whatever I feel comfortable believing. I am a very open person. I've been researching Paganism for several years now deciding whether I want to really get into it or not. I've also been researching all things paranormal, mythology, history, and mystical. I would love to get any information you can provide me with becoming Pagan or if you would just like to talk about one of my other obsessions above please pm me or link to a credible thread :3

Hello! I'm Scarlet, I was born into a very mildly Christian-influenced family, but was always the 'oddball' who loved anything magical as a child. I've been a proud solitary pagan for a year and 9 days and I study Wicca along with a mixture of Druidism, Shamanism and some Celtic elements. I'm really open to ideas and I've been studying from books like a crazy person. I always love gathering information! (I'm also quite the avid thrifty witch wink )
Thank you for inviting me to this Guild! heart

Merry Meet. My name is Relinquished ArchAngel, but you can call me Relin. I'm 21 and am from Texas. I'm an aspiaring novelist and a humanitarian. I love to read and write. I've been practicing my pagan beliefs for nearly 4 years now. I grew up in a Christian based family. My mother, Grandmother, sister and two nephews. Growing up, I tried to understand what they were always trying to teach me in sunday school, but even at that young of an age I still didn't see how any of that could have happened. It didn't make sense to me. When I turned 18 and moved out of my mothers house, I began to look into Wicca and Paganisim and have yet to look back. I don't condem other religions becase I believe that it doesn't matter which religion you believe in, as long as you believe in something and you are a good person, you will find your way into the light in the afterlife.

I love teaching people things about my religion. I am a solitary witch but 2 years ago, on a mobile website called Moba Mingle, I was a teacher of the Sacred Stone Circle Coven. I loved every minute of it and I continue to teach others about the beauty of the Goddess and the strength of the God.

Blessed Be~

i'm firedance. i became Wiccan about five years after i desided that i didn't believe in the Christian god. my thought: if god exists and is so good and cares about us then *why* aren;t we getting any help???

i started learning about Wicca two years later.

i believe in reincarnation and have managed, after lots of failure, to pull up some memories and names!

i also See things that haven't happened yet (mostly in dreams).

if it sounds like i'm bragging, sorry. i don;t mean to.

Guru Drak

Omnipresent Elder

PostPosted: Tue Jul 05, 2011 10:02 am

I go by Drak online, in preference to one I loved who gave me the name.

7th grade would be the mark of where I decided to take my own path in life, having value of all life in my mind rather than the norm types. I have pieced together on my own parts of many cultures that I find follow well with who I am, not confining myself to one label.

To comment on an above topic, when thinking of the Christian god, how they choose not to interfere with mortals, you can think of it as science.

The big bang could be a zero G petri dish. Two or more orbs of substance collide, creating a glob of matter and antimatter which flows outward, and a being outside our scope of existence records the data that they observe. Perhaps boredom happening upon them after 10 billion of our years, and they interfered one time on one or multiple worlds, adding an experimental seed to watch what happens. Interfering further would skew the results and void the experiment.

I have an odd mind.

I am BanefulBekkah, or just Bekkah.

I was born being under the Babtist branch of Christianity, but have been thoroughly been studying the basics of Wicca for almost a year. Though I am just learning and just a kid, I consider myself Wiccan. I belong to a small local coven and am learning much, being the youngest practicer there. (yes I am aware that practicer may not be a word). I have learned of the Lord and Lady, who I prefer to call Diana and Apollo, and have cast circles and preformed magic rituals, and that is how I consider myself a practicing wiccan

I tried starting a thread for beginning Wiccans like me to discuss what we have learned and more experianced to help tech us, but got ripped apart by the imfamous Calelith for not "truly" being Wiccan, and being just a stupid kid.

On a lighter note, I have learned that I am empathetic and my dreams can tell the very near future when it involves my pain and suffering. (morbid I know, but it saved my life)

I also feel a strong draw to the Goddesses Nyx and Iris

Hello!
While I won't give my real name, Duncan is fine. After all, that's what most people I've met on the net calls me (for obvious reasons: I tell them to xd ) To me, Gaia is one of hose on-and-off things, so don't mind me if I dissapear for months at a time, just to suddenly reappear later.

Since I'm not really good at these awkward introductory thingys,
I'll just summarize some of the more interesting and relevant aspects of myself.

I live in Sweden, land of midnight sun and nights that lasts for months, not to mention the beautiful Aurora Borealis. I'm a larper, and I have been for a couple of years. Even before that I was a roleplayer, and I still roleplay a lot. I'm the kind of person who likes to learn, and so I've learned a number of trades. Still don't have a finished formal degree yet, though I might get there some day.

As for paganism, I don't see mself as a pagan. Yes, I do believe in magic. Yes, to some degree I might even be considered using it, depending on your definition of it. It's just the whole worshipping of one or several gods that irks me. I'm not denying the exisance of such. I just don't consider putting my faith in any entities worthwhile, when I can find all I need in myself and my surroundings without invoking any higher powers. Still, several of my friends are wiccans, and so I've made sure to read up on the subject. Funny thing that, by the way. The more I read about it, the more it appeals to me, yet at the same time I get more and more certain that this is, without any doubt, not the religion for me. Short summary of my belfs: I believe, but I'm not religious.
