<~ Canon Characters ~>

These characters will not be very important, unless someone wants to role play as them. If they decide to do that, then they can do what they wish to do with them. For the time being, since we have no one to be some of these characters, they will be sort of like NCPs. Someone that wants to interact with them can make them say what they want them to... granted if it stays in their character.

High King Banon of Naldias
Availability: Open
Back story: Banon Tegrin grew up into the royal family that conquered Heraden centuries prior and later succeeded his father; becoming the king of Naldias and High King to all of Heraden at the age of 18. Years had passed, and his kingdom became the most prosperous and the most powerful under his fair and honest rule. That is, until Ethelfleda had unleashed Hell upon the continent. Now he leads the rebellion against her, hoping to rid the world of Ethelfleda and her seemingly never ending demonic army.
Personality: Banon is selfless; he gives everything up for his people. He desires peace for his entire region. His ability to lead has also gotten him out of many tough situations. He has charisma, a sense of chivalry, honor, and more qualities that define the ideal monarch.
Appearance: King Banon

King George of Tercitol
Availability: Open
Back story: George Rayenor grew up in a noble's family, which was later called into royalty when the bloodline of the last royal family had ended. Once his father died, he succeeded the throne at the age of 23. King George is a powerful leader and he will do anything to win a battle. When Ethelfleda appeared, he was the first to strike her, though his efforts were futile. He was forced to move his knights and soldiers back into his kingdom and hope to Sister that they would be safe. He later joined the rebellion and now believes that with these new alliances, he will be able to stop Ethelfleda.
Personality: He is overly confident in himself and believes that no one can outwit, or overpower him. He's reckless and foolish when it comes to leading, which has proven to cause him great losses. However, with these brutal losses comes some of the most pivotal victories for the Alliance. What he desires most is to go down in history as a glorified war hero.
Appearance: King George

King Wallace of Malrion
Availability: Open
Back story: Wallace Herren was born into the royal family, but he didn't become king until he was 32. He leads his kingdom poorly, for he isn't cut out to be a leader. Wallace realizes this and he accepts this fact. But with no heirs to succeed his rule, he's become too greedy to let the throne fall to another family. When Ethelfleda appeared, he had no idea what to do. Lucky for him, he was aligned with the High King of Heraden, King Banon, whom he was good friends with. Banon offered him protection and in return, he requested Malrion's military support.
Personality: He's a fool, and he makes many mistakes when it comes to leading a kingdom. He depends on others too much and doesn't assert himself, which lead to the Iron Brethren all but taking control of his kingdom.
Appearance: King Wallace

Queen Alina of Rhadion
Availability: Open
Back story: Alina Livathen was born into a noble family and married the king of Rhadion. When Ethelfleda appeared, her husband was killed in battle. Since her husband had no siblings and no children, this left her in charge of the kingdom. She joined the alliance directly after the king died.
Personality: She is powerful and self-righteous, yet also very kind as she looks out for the people of Rhadion to the best of her ability. She is also a strong leader and is capable of making wise decisions in battle. Alina loves war hounds and she's a cousin to High King Banon Tegrin.
Appearance: Queen Alina

Prince Jonathan of Genodia
Availability: Taken by Chronographus
Back story: Jonathan Raphion was the son of the king of Genodia. His mother and father were both killed when Ethelfleda appeared and he was left in charge of the Genodian kingdom. He was devastated when he learned the news of their death and it threw him into turmoil. He joined the alliance in hope that he'd get revenge on Ethelfleda.
Personality: He makes rash decisions that often shows a complete disregard for the people of Genodia. His parents' death made him embrace insanity. His only goal is to get revenge on Ethelfleda and he will stop at nothing to do so.
Appearance: Prince Jonathan

Emperor Maxim of Drakryon
Availability: Taken by Chronographus
Back story: Maxim Drakryon was born into a family of middle class merchants that lived in the kingdom of Atnaer. When he became old enough, he sought out the witch of legend, Ethelfleda, and made a deal with her. He told her that he stole an ancient tome from within the Atnaer castle's keep and that he would give it to her in exchange for power. When Ethelfleda unleashed Hell upon everyone, he was able to kill the king and queen of Atnaer and seize control of the throne during the confusion. He then made it his own self-proclaimed Drakryon empire.
Personality: Ruthless, evil, sadistic, and arrogant. However, he puts on a facade of nobility when in public. Although appearing kind and polite, he's quick to insult someone when he feels they step out of line.
Appearance: Emperor Maxim

Ethelfleda
Availability: Taken by Chronographus (temporarily)
Back story: The origins of the witch that the Indotus call "Ethelfleda" vary from culture to culture. According to believers of Unitarium, she is simply a dark witch who the holy Sister has damned to an endless cycle of rebirth. But the native elves of Heraden provide a more detailed and epic tale for her. Hermafleda, the Elven deity of magic, approached Narusok, the god of the dream realm, with a proposition. He wished to grant the power of magic to all mortals. Narusok refused and argued that magic was strictly a power for the gods, not something that the mortal beings should be allowed to abuse. But Hermafleda wasn't pleased with this, so he left the dream realm and entered the world of mortals. Once there, he gave up his existence so that he could spread everything that he was into all living things. He blessed the entire mortal world with the undying gift of magic. However, this act infuriated Narusok, so he banished Hermafleda's lover, Etheltaniel, to the mortal world. There, she sought out Hermafleda only to find turmoil in the fact that he was no more. When she realized that there was now magic in the bodies of mortals, she gave up her form and possessed an Elf so she could use magic and reunite herself with Hermafleda. Thus, she is dubbed "Ethelfleda." Over the years as her mortal bodies deteriorate, she takes a new form. She has been recorded in history as appearing in forms such as elves, centaurs, and even a mer-person once. One day, a man had approached her. He had offered her some desirable information, but in return, he wanted power. She agreed and he provided her with an ancient magic tome filled with dark secrets that she'd never known. She was specifically concerned with the ritual that she could perform during a solar eclipse. And as if it was meant to be, a solar eclipse was due in the following week. When the eclipse came, she used her magic to create a rift; allowing demons to pour into the world all under her command. She then became the most feared being in all the lands of Heraden.
Personality: Ethelfleda is powerful, wise, and resourceful. She likes to play with the minds of others and to manipulate them to her will. She has knowledge of many historical events, for it has been said that she may have even lived through all of history itself.
Appearance: Ethelfleda

"Iron Father" Talbot Parisi-Barthine
Availability: Open
Back Story: Talbot Parisi is the acting head of the Iron Brethren. He succeeded the previous leader, Charles Barthine, after he poisoned him in his sleep. Talbot was picked up off the streets of Malrion by Charles as a child after his parents were killed in a bandit raid, and he was raised in an atmosphere filled with the mercenaries and brutes that made up the Iron Brethren. He watched as his mentor and father figure corrupted over the years and turned his organization into a vile crime syndicate. Eventually Charles became obsessed with making money no matter what the cost and he made many enemies in the process, so he became fairly paranoid. He never left his hideout in Nalasol without an armed escort of ten or more men. Talbot was his right hand, but he grew tired of his leader's antics and wanted to reform the Iron Brethren. However, Charles never heeded his pleas and continued down a despicable path. That's when Talbot had to take him out of the picture. Upon his succession, he realized that changing the Iron Brethren wouldn't be something that would happen over night. It would take time, so he continues to try and change this once great organization into that of which it once was.
Personality: Talbot isn't as bad a person as most would expect. Although he did commit an act of murder against the previous Iron Father, it was in his mind the right thing to do. He will always do what he believes has to be done and he believes the ends will always justify the means.
Appearance: Talbot Parisi

Nala-Kippora
Availability: Taken by Chronographus
Back Story: Nala-Kippora was born two and a half centuries ago in the mountainous cove, Nalasol yahn Ferisa, and like all mer-people her title is derived from her birthplace. She was born with a rare ability that boosts her psychic aptitude that put her above the other mer-folk. Eventually, the mer-people began to seek her out for consult and she quickly saw this as an opportunity to unite them under her rule. This made Nalasol yahn Ferisa the capital for mer-folk in Heraden. Many years would pass, and Kippora would meet a human man named Charles Barthine. He used to be a knight for the Malrion royal family, until he left out of spite towards the king who had been too timid to commit acts that he thought were necessary. He formed an honorable band of mercenaries and called them the Iron Brethren. She could sense he was genuine in his goals, and she admired him for it. Charles continued to visit Nalasol yahn Ferisa just to see Kippora, and eventually the two became involved romantically. She shared her mind with the man, and this allowed him and his Iron Brethren to successfully navigate the dangerous cove by ship. They set up their base of operations inside of the large cave at the heart of the cove, where Charles and Kippora could reside in relative peace. Soon afterward, Charles would find and raise a human child with Kippora (although Kippora has already had many children). Talbot Parisi-Barthine, the boy Charles and Kippora raised, would eventually succeed Charles as the leader of the Iron Brethren after he went borderline insane. Kippora fully supported Talbot's rise to power, but was severely disappointed by the way he went about it. She still loves Talbot as a son, but their relationship can be tense at times. When Ethelfleda unleashed her curse on the Heraden continent, many mer-people were affected by it. They became hostile and attacked anything in sight. However, due to Kippora's special psychic affinity, she was able to overcome the curse and help those mer-folk who reside in Nalasol.
Personality: Kippora appears nearly emotionless to non-mer-folk. The reason for this is that many mer-people do not bother to physically show their feelings, instead they tend to transmit their emotions and sometimes thoughts through their psychic connections. Kippora is actually very kind and benevolent. She's a peaceful person and she does not condone needless violence, but may resort to it if necessary to defend herself or others. Those closest to her call her "Kip."
Appearance:Nala-Kippora

Ethelfleda's Seven Generals. (These characters are the chooser's to develop. Though, their personalities must reflect their sin. Picture/Description of appearance and back story are optional.)

<~ Original Characters ~>

Name: Gladius "Edge"

Race: Human

Back story: Coming from a small, poor family, as an only child Gladius was always looked at to carry on a legacy that really wasnt there to begin with. His father, overbearing, always deemed that Gladius would bring the family name to fame. Though his father was a warrior himself, and knew the dangers of battle, it was his opinion that fighting was in the family blood.
Later, his father died while Gladius was at age 9, leaving him with his most valued blade. The blade's name was unknown to him for the longest time, and it bothered him that the blade seemed too heavy despite its size. Out of frustration, and a personal need to better himself, he set outward with the blade weighing him down like the world of his on bearing on his shoulders.
At age 15, he returned to Rhadion bearing a near aura - and the sword was as light as a feather to him. It seems he has learned a lot, including the taste of competition and victory - both of which he treasures. His last name however, in spite of his father, was purposely forgotten, by him and the one's who know him as well (though it was out of respect).

Personality: Highly competitive, and looks for nothing but the best out of others and himself. It has even come to a point where, he will stop fighting and refuse to continue if he feels the opponent is not giving it their all. Also due to this trait, his worst critic is himself. He is never one to brag, and no win is coveted unless it was actually expected as a death wish on his part. the blade he has carried for years never leaves him, and he is angered if someone were to touch it or breath in its space. Aside from all this, he is not one to turn down a person in need, and is ever so quick to help out.

Name: Sir Kierin Ordway

Race: Human

Back story: Kierin was born into a peasant family as a b*****d son to a knight of the Naldias kingdom. His father, ashamed of his affair with a peasant, left him and his mother, Renate, alone in a town just outside of the city of Naldias.
When Kierin was fifteen, he was fit enough to fend for himself and for his mother. However, he couldn't save her from the bandits that raided his town while he and a few of the other men of the town were out on a hunting trip. When they returned, they were devastated. Kierin swore to find and kill the ones responsible.
After a year of searching and trying to get King Banon to do something about the bandits, his wishes were finally getting acknowledged when the same group of bandits had attacked a caravan of nobles that were trying to get into the royal city. Banon himself went with a band of knights to assure that the deaths of the nobles would not go unnoticed. Kierin, hearing of this, tracked and followed Banon and his men until they found the bandits. He joined the fray, killing the leader, and finally achieving closure for his mother and his town.
King Banon apprehended the boy and questioned him about why he interfered (even though he did help). Kierin told the king of his story and about his father, who had been the knight captain now. In fact, he'd been there during the purging of the bandits. Banon took pity on the boy because of this news, and he forced knight captain Riley to take him in as a guest in his home.
Kierin was raised, much to his dismay, by the man who'd abandoned him and his mother in the first place. And instead of being the "perfect son", he went off and committed crimes which mainly consisted of stealing from the nobles around the city of Naldias. After years of reluctantly being forced to be put through training, Kierin finally gave in and became a full fledged knight. Eventually, Riley died from sickness and King Banon had Kierin take his place as knight captain.
He now serves and protects Naldias faithfully under King Banon.

Personality: Kierin tries to uphold the code of chivalry as best he can; he's very loyal to Naldias and especially King Banon for giving him a new home. He's brave, smart, witty, and a little afraid that he'll turn into his father. He can also have an inflated ego at times, but he tries to avoid that as best he can.

Name: Sculliford

Race: Elven

Back story: Sculliford was born in a tribe of the Indotus. He left when he was nearly thirteen; his mother believing she could find a better life for the two of them elsewhere. Upon their journey to Malrion, they were attacked by a group of bandits. He was saved by a few mercenaries from the Iron Brethren, but not before his mother was raped and killed. With nothing else to do and nowhere else to go, he went along with the mercenaries and joined the Iron Brethren. Since he'd been with the Brethren since he was a child, it was no surprise that he proved his worth over the years. He went from being charged with tending to the needs of his fellow members to things that the Brethren were more famous for, such as hired mercenaries for interested parties. He was given the title of "Mercenary Captain", which makes him in charge of a large faction of mercenaries.

Personality: Sculliford is cocky and rude most of the time, as well as cynically sarcastic. He's also been known to be a real creep towards pretty women and an overall womanizer. He also speaks in a peculiar accent.

Appearance: Sculliford stands at 5'8" and he has short, curly, sand colored hair and tanned skin that usually has been blotched with dirt or mud. He sports a green vest that may once have been considered quite elegant in appearance, but now shows years of wear and tear and countless stains of dirt, mud, and blood stuck on it. Underneath the vest is a chainmail tunic and a black shirt that had the sleeves torn off at the shoulders. His long, black, fingerless, hard leather gloves stop about an inch before the elbow, and his black and grey plaid patterned slacks are tucked into his high-riding black leather boots that are adorned with several buckles and straps. He also wears an old, dark green and grey scarf that has holes and tears where the moths have eaten into it. His face shows the light scruff of a beard and seemingly misplaced handsome features with slightly pointed ears due to his Elven heritage. He has hauntingly grey eyes and a silver loop earring on his left ear. On his left arm is a red tribal pattern tattoo and on his right is a mismatched black one. His weapons include an array of small knives hidden on the inside of his vest and a pair of daggers sheathed and strapped onto his back. To top it all off, he wears a silver ring that is fashioned into the shape of a wolf's skull.

Name: Sophia Morcerf

Race: Elven

Back story: Eversince Sophia was young, she has had a rough past, one she could never forget. Everyone in the small elven village where she lived were imprisoned, beaten, raped, and killed by Human soldiers who went out of control, they killed everyone down to the youngest child, except for Sophia who had been out playing in the woods that day. And when she came back, the soldiers abducted her and used her for nothing more then something to test their weapons on. She was brutally beaten and had deep scars carved into her back, in their own hate for elves one of the soldiers even cut the tips of her ears off while she was wide awake and then she was left to die, bleeding from head to toe alone as the soldiers left her behind the village. But later that same day, miraculously a woman with bewitching beauty and a strange pure Aura about her found the girl and took her in as a adoptive daughter. The woman was more like a teacher then a mother though, teaching Sophia the ways of a Sorceress and Witchcraft. Sophia spent 10 years in the care of the woman but one day Sophia's surrogate mother passed on her powers to Sophia and then walked into the sea and vanished without a trace. By around that time Sophia was about 17 years old and she was old enough to lead a life of her own without the need of a new family, so instead of choosing a place to settle down, being a traveling sorceress became Sophia's hobby. Sophia used her magic for good but only when people she came upon in her journeys truly needed it. But also Sophia made sure she hid her identity and made sure she didn't leave a big imprint on wherever she went so she could avoid the risk of being noticed by the wrong people. Sophia has been on the road for years now and now being the age of 21, her skills in magic are greater.

Personality: Sophia is rather laid back, calm, and wise for her age. She is very well spoken for being someone who has been around various cultures and experiences and usually people mistake her for a noble for having such a charming and clear voice. Sophia is rather independent and while being straight at the same time, she sees men from all races as her equal and doesn't look up or down upon them nor does she easily fall for a man's charisma or appearance, thus she hasn't had a romantic relationship with any man in her life since her surrogate mother taught her to remain pure bodily and worry about desires of the mind, not the body. Sophia is not religious nor does she hate religion, she just excepts it and looks past it. Being of elven descent Sophia has a natural charming aura about her and many cannot resist looking at for atleast a second.

Appearance: 5'5 Long black hair and turquoise colored eyes, and lovely pale skin , bewitchingly beautiful, and a voluptuous figure that even the most modest clothing cannot hide. Her ears have the appearance of a human's but still have the signs of scaring from the trauma in her past.
Sophia

Username: Phisoxa

Kingdom: She originated from Rhadion, but she spends most of her days on the road.

Name: Vadlyne Luxton

Race: Elven

Back story: Vadlyne was born in a small tribe of the Indotus Elves. She was a curious young girl, so much so that it would eventually prove to get the better of her. One unpleasant day, Vadlyne decided to venture deeper into the woods than her tribe advised. She found herself in a small clearing where the was no longer tall oak trees that covered the forest floor for miles, but a small cobblestone area with a pedestal at the center. Light shined down through where the trees would usually be, which made Vadlyne very curious. She approached the pedestal to find a beautifully crafted pan flute that nearly glowed from the bright sun rays beaming down upon it. As she stared, she couldn't help but dive into the urge to pick up and play the instrument. Though she had never played such an instrument before, the music produced was that of a professional. But what the girl didn't know, was that as she continued to make beautiful muse, her spiritual and physical forms were being consumed and absorbed by the flute. Within minutes silence again fell upon the forest... that is, except for the laughter and celebration of the mischievous fairies that cursed the flute. Vadlyne found herself trapped in an endless realm of nothingness. After years of being imprisoned within the darkness of whatever this hellish place was, Vadlyne finally figured out how to project her spiritual form back into the world she once knew. But it was only a temporary fix. She was eternally bound to this instrument, and she couldn't hold her form for over an hour. So instead of returning to what her life could have been, she now spends her time scaring travelers that venture through her forest.

Personality: Due to the curse inflicted on her, Vadlyne spends her time scaring travelers and stragglers that wander through the forest by luring them in with her flute playing. She has an uncanny resentment towards fairies and it's not easy for her to trust anyone. She has been called the "Spirit of the Forest" in human tongue, but the Indotus refer to her as "Ethrialis yahn Indo."

Name: Emissary Bhalon

Race: Dwarven

Back story: Bhalon was born in Psythorite into a powerful noble family. He was a great warrior in his time and well thought of throughout all of the Dwarven kingdom. When Ethelfleda attacked, Bhalon was there and stood his ground as best he could. When his family fell, he was one of the few Dwarves to see that resistance against her demonic army was futile. He fled from his home kingdom to the kingdom of Rhadion. He spent some time there in despair. He watched his family, his friends die firsthand. It was a terrible fate and a terrible sight. However, Bhalon eventually found a solace within the Unitarium Religion. Though not many Dwarves were ever fond of this set of beliefs, it was still something that gave him a sense of being. A sense of "completeness". It took some time, but eventually Bhalon became an Emissary for the Unitarists. He spends his time traveling the lands of Heraden; spreading his beliefs faithfully and willfully. He would not abandon his post again. Never again.

Personality: Bhalon never wants to abandon anything or anyone ever again. He fears Ethelfleda, though he tries his best to hide it with calm and collected demeanor accompanied by most Emissaries. Though he follows the Unitarium beliefs, he also still retains all of his warrior prowess and would fight to save the lives of any in need.

Appearance: As an emissary, Bhalon wears simple clothing. A gray tunic with a brown, tattered vest and dirtied ruffle around his neck. His gray slacks have patches and tears in them and they're tucked into his brown mud covered boots. His beard is shaved off into a stubble (even though most dwarves let their beards grow out as a sense of pride and power) and his hair is brown, but graying at the temples. His eyes are a deep brown color and his face shows signs of years of experience.
