The Garchomp lay lazily on his side, picking bits of food out between his teeth. He was bored out of his mind. Staying with the guilds had to be the least interesting thing he could be doing. But every time he left, something happened, and then he missed out on all the fun. Waiting like this, though... that was just plain dull. "Hey, Ivan. One of them mentioned there was a relic in Thunder Ridge or something, right?" The Raikou rose from his similarly lazy position beside the Garchomp. "I believe so." "Go get that so we can speed things up, alright?"
Well, that was how he explained it three days later to a rather exasperated Ivysaur. "Oh, for... And he hasn't returned yet? It took you three days to remember?" "Yeah, I'd say that's about it." The Ivysaur just about gave up on life at that point. "I'll inform Tolin. He'll probably want to send a group... Stay here for now."

 Solaris
The Espeon sat at his desk, fidgeting slightly as he flipped through the sheets. It wasn't impatience or boredom that had him fidgeting. It was anxiety. Tolin had just up and left with the group of "Legendary Slayers" as it were, along with all the legendaries in the guild. If an attack came, they would be vulnerable. It wasn't like they were useless, but... He took a spare moment between sheets to look outside. Dark, black clouds were slowly crawling across the sky to the guild. The loud crack of thunder split the air every few moments in an unusually violent thunderstorm. Maybe it would be good to call the citizens in? Weather this nasty was unusual, so they weren't really prepared. His thoughts were interrupted by a muted crack from a much different source. It was one of the watchmen that had taken to the fields as of late. "Solaris, Sir. We've spotted a Raikou heading in from the east along the crest of the storm." "A Raikou?" Solaris's tail waved slightly. "So the expedition is back?" The Abra shook his head uneasily. "No... It's just a single Raikou. He's acting sort of... strange. Uneven steps, that sort of thing? It's almost like he's high." Uh-oh. Solaris didn't know WHAT was going on, but it was something bad. It was always something bad. "Good work. Call everyone in."
With that, the Espeon hopped off of his chair and bonked the alarm. They were under attack, probably.

 Ver - Freya - Erudeca - AliceEpitaph rested curled up on a chair in Solaris' office. Her ears made attentive twitches to the conversation, but the Flareon didn't respond. She wasn't ready for such events yet and Solaris could handle himself fine. She made a tired sigh as the Espeon took off and she closed her eyes again. The alarm sounded moments later. If things sounded bad, she'd join him.
Epitaph aside, the casuals went about their way to the hall with little haste. It took the guild time to gather and organize so after a while, they found no need to rush. "This storm... where did it come from?" The Leafeon's head lowered as she looked over at Ver by her side. He was equally as clueless, but not as interested in the matter. "I don't mind." Alice smiled, looking over at Freya from Deca's arms. The Flaafy was a bit sluggish. "I think it's nice." "It's a bit chaotic for nice..." Freya shuttered. Aire -- JavsJavs' teleported sounded shortly behind Solaris when the Espeon had entered the hall. He sat in the air, seemingly bored gestured by his head resting against his hand. His eyes traveled toward a window, examining the sky in particular. It didn't even feel normal. "Your friend is quite close." he stated bluntly as he straightened his posture. He took a soft breath, meaning to continue speaking before getting teleported off to the side. He looked a bit off guard for a moment. "Fancy seeing you here." Javs stood in place where he hovered, making no attempt to look at the black and white female that leaned back against the wall steps behind him. Her arms remained folded at her chest and her green eyes looked about the hall, seemingly annoyed at something or another, as expected. "I'd like to see what you find so exciting that you keep coming back here." The male smiled. "So you're free to stay? I was hoping you'd join me eventually." Aire grunted at the comment. Eye contact remained undone between the two as they preferred to poke at each other's nerves.

  Atra && Melissa && KataraThe leaders of Team Azalea as well as their only battle-capable member (Randel wishes he can be more useful, but having flippers rather than feet makes fighting on land impractical) came into the main hall in answer to the alarm. Melissa was apprehensive, but firm about her decision to come. She had joined the Guilds to protect it after all. Atra seemed unconcerned. The powerful Flareon hasn't had to truly fear for himself since his evolution. Katara was still a little iffy after her last fight, but the room probably won't soar to incredibly painful temperatures this time. Morana && Incultyr && Acer && VeritasBunch of Team Polaris showed up. They're ready to kick whatever's coming to attack.

xx xx xClairexAndrewx JudasxClaire gazed out the window of her room, a curious gaze over her eyes. Hadn't it been a nice sunny day but a few moments ago? "Looks like it's going to come down hard..." She muttered to herself mindlessly. As she traced the movements of the weather, she couldn't help but notice the unnatural rate they were rolling in. She frowned, something was wrong. As if on cue, the alarm for the guild set off. The dratini jumped out of her seat and traveled out of the room, into the living room. Apparently everyone else had done the same, aside from Rani, who was suffering from a case of too-much-time-in-the-sun. Claire looked around at them all. "Thomas, stay here with Rani and the egg.." The tepig nodded, "Andrew.. Judas.., we should hurry." The two of them nodded, the Jolteon appearing to have an eager fire in his eyes. The three of them left the dorm and crowded into the hall, waiting beside a few other teams.

& & ( Red & Blue & Purple )Red was practically hugging Blue at the first strike, but slowly she began to detach herself. It had just caught her off guard, thunder wasn't scary...it was fine, nothing bad here!
She left scratches on him, but nothing that hurt. "Alright, nothing bad. Alarm is sounding is all...I'll go, Blue, you're coming with me" She turned over to Purple, "And we'll need you to stay here with the egg." she said. The two nodded, and she took a few deep breaths before leaving and joining the rest of the teams in the hall with Blue following behind. :: ✗ Basilisk :: Ren ✗The odd duo was playing a game of cards as if there were no storm, an occasional bored yawn from Basilisk. He put down his hand, "a perfect 21. I win" he stated, and Ren only rolled her eyes. "You hear zat? Zat sound means ve have to do something"
He got up, "fine, fine..." he mumbled. He and Ren joined the others in the hall, they didn't look like the most capable of fighters there (many who had showed up looked much stronger than they) but they were more than ready to eliminate whatever it was that was coming.

 Solaris
"Okay." Solaris's tail absentmindedly waved back and forth behind him like a metronome as he spoke. "As you've all noticed, a massive thunderstorm is approaching from the north. There's a Raikou moving with it at the front." He gave the crowd just a moment for the "oh a legendary" vibe to sink in. "We don't know what he wants, and we think it might be a member of Rebirth. But considering the track record of things trying to murder us, it's better to be safe." Seriously. The Espeon couldn't even act enthused; he was just jaded at this point. If it were a true elite, he might be considered, but even if it was something sent by Darkrai it wouldn't be. That one was dead, he had read the report. "So we're going to head outside. If electrical attacks are going to cause you an issue, or if the rain will be a problem, stay inside."
~~~
Solaris stood and walked well ahead of the rest of his guild. The closer they got to him, the more obvious the meaning behind the report was. Ivan looked like he had just gotten out of the hospital. His fur was ruffled, his head jolted back and forth violently as if he were haunted by vicious specters. His step was uneven as he stumbled forward randomly inbetween slowing down or speeding up. By all accounts, he looked as if he were a madman. As if every trace of sanity had slipped from his mind and escaped into the clouds above, which roared incessantly with the crackle of lightning at every pulse.
But, perhaps most significantly was the golden yellow necklace which hung from his neck. "Ivan! You managed to find one of the pendants!" The Espeon's voice was seething with false enthusiasm. He was worried. The Raikou, with his suddenly bright and cheery face didn't seem to notice. "I did! It was just sitting in the middle of Thunder Ridge!" "That's good! Now, how about we get that off you and take it somewhere safe...?" The Raikou's attitude flipped in an instant. The clouds above rumbled, as if in warning. Ivan began to speak as if to a slave. It was a cold, humorless voice. "You have the other pendants Solaris. Where are they? I want them." "H... How about we just get you inside, out of the rain, and take that pendant off..?" "No. This pendant is... fantastic. The feeling I've had since I put it on. I can't even describe it. I. Want. More. And you will give it to me or I will destroy the guild and take them by force." As if to punctuate the threat, a bolt of lightning struck down from the sky and hit the ground only a few feet in front of Solaris. The Espeon skittered back, half in surprise and half in fear. "E-Everyone! Get ready for a fight!" Ivan let out a deep roar as electricity arced from his body and tore across the field.
 Ivan
*****
Ivan's gone nuts! He was an ally before, but like this it's do or die! But maybe if the pendant can be removed, he won't have to be killed...? Of course, good luck doing that. A Raikou in the middle of a thunderstorm, his body is charged... I'd say anyone who touches him will be paralyzed for one round.
 Ver - Freya - Erudeca - Alice The four listened to Solaris closely. Deca just sighed and debated what to turn into next now that they were addressed of the carrier’s species as they were lead outside. Alice looked rather uneasy. A normal Pokemon with a relic was bad enough, but a Legendary? Her fears became a little too real once she actually saw Ivan. Oh god, he was big too. Freya looked up at the sky, ignoring the Legendary for a moment as he and Solaris conversed. Ver on the other hand seemed mostly unbothered by the rain. He just glared down Ivan.
Once Solaris’ orders were given, their attention fell forward almost in unison. Ver and Freya bounded off in different directions as electricity was suddenly unleashed aimlessly across the field; Alice teleported herself and Deca out of the way. The Flaafy grew irritated. She didn’t want to get close to the Legendary. Ground type attacks sounded so risky. Deca whined to herself, twisting back and forth nervously with Alice still in her arms as she walked over to a nearby bush. “D-Deca, you better think quick…” “I’m tryinggg~” Oh ******** it. Just go with something you’re comfortable with, Deca. “OKaaay~” Her voice rang out as she placed the Ralts in the bush and the Ditto promptly transformed into a Vaporeon. Umbreon might’ve been her comfort zone, but… Staying away from the Electric type was the plan. So, of course, turning into a Water type was the logical answer. “Deca I don’t think you should—“ “As long as I don’t get hit~!” Deca went sprinting on that note, leaving Alice to sit there and stare. She instinctively reached up for the necklace that should have been lying against her chest, but clasped nothing but her own fingers, her eyes locked on the Eeveelutions she knew pacing about cautiously. All three of them seemed to play on the defensive for now, prepping themselves.((Calm Mind (Ver) and Helping Hand (Ver, Freya) are in effect))  Aire -- JavsThe two Gardevoirs teleported after guild shortly after they left for the outdoors. Their eyes quickly met Ivan and their timing couldn’t have been much worse. “Oh Arceus…” Aire stepped back; her closed hand hovered over her mouth nervously as she watched the lightning assault ring out. Of course she came when a Legendary was involved. Javs was quick to put up a barrier and Aire overlapped her own upon his promptly after. Not that she didn’t trust the male, but these attacks wouldn’t be weak. The two flinched as a straying strike collided with the barrier. Once the blinding light was gone, they looked back at their protection and Javs’ eyes narrowed. He cursed under his breath, eyeing a large, web-like crack in the barrier. Aire’s eyes fell elsewhere, more specifically on the relic. "I told you it'd be dangerous." The female hissed quietly under her breath, struggling to light a cigarette to keep her nerves under control despite the rain. She was, thus far unsuccessful. Javs' attention trailed back to Aire as she spoke. Though amused, it didn't show.
 Era & Ethfael "Ethfael, wait! You really shouldn't be doing this!" The Pikachu called, hurrying after the Dragonair who was far ahead of her. "You aren't even out of the Hospital yet! You can't answer the alarm!" Ethfael said nothing, doing his best to hurry; they were already later than they should be. The alarm sounding was the last thing either of the two had expected to happen, and they both were caught off guard as it rang out when they were walking down the hallway. Ethfael, being too stubborn for his own good insisted on going to find out what was wrong while Era adamantly refused. The resulting argument had ended with the Dragonair finally giving up on reasoning with the Pikachu and simply turning and heading toward the Main Hall as quickly as he possibly could. Although it wasn't as fast as he could normally go, it still posed a problem for Era who was forced to run her fastest to even stay close-by. Now she was beginning to regret ever bringing him back to visit the rest of the Team.
When they arrived in the Main Hall, there was no one there, and both of them paused for just a moment to catch their breath. That was when they noticed the bolt of lightning outside, far too large to be made by anything natural. Era's fur prickled up in response to the powerful electricity that she felt, and the Pikachu's ears flattened; the last time she'd felt that much electrical force it was when they had been fighting the Dragonite Elite in this self-same place. That could mean only one thing, that they were in a lot of trouble. Giving up on convincing Ethfael away in favor of getting out to the rest of the group, Era raced over to the door and hurried out, Ethfael following more slowly behind her. Truthfully, the Dragonair was more hurt than he'd like to admit, as though that weren't obvious by the bandages that still were wrapped around various parts of his body, but that wasn't about to stop him from helping out. As they stood toward the back of the crowd their eyes widened as another flash of lightning brightened the stormy sky and silhouetted their opponent; a Raikou bearing a Pendant that brought dread to their thoughts.
They both were forced to separate in no time at all as a stray lightning bolt from Ivan headed their way. Ethfael moved quickly and fell to the side panting. The Dragonair's eyes fell upon a certain pair of Gadevoir nearby and he felt slightly reassured to see that one of them was Anues. That Aire was with him caused the dragon a slight hint of curiosity but it was soon replaced with shock as another bolt of electricity quite nearly hit him. Turning his gaze to Ivan the Dragonair breathed a stream of Dragonbreath at the Raikou, eyes glinting with distaste although he stayed back. He would have to be on his guard this fight, moreso than normally in order to keep himself from getting more injured than he already was, but that was easier said than done.
Era meanwhile hurried through the crowd, eyes searching out those who were here, what was going on. The lightning bolt hadn't deterred her, it simply set her off running to avoid it and to jump into the battle. There wasn't much she could do that would be very effective against a Raikou, but that didn't stop her from trying. She sent a Swift Attack Ivan's way once she'd reached a place more to the front of the group before ducking down to avoid another stray lightning bolt. Being an Electric Type could help those to be endured, but in the end enough hits from the lightning of a Legendary would be too much for any Electric Type. Her eyes fell on the Pendant around Ivan's neck, and then on the Raikou himself. He wasn't their enemy, at least not when he was in his right mind. If they could just get the Pendant off, maybe this could be managed without another death. Tris & Maestro Tris and Maestro had arrived as some of the last to respond to the alarm, once again because of Maestro's inherent lack of interest. The Ditto and Zorua arrived on the scene just as the others were heading out, Tris in the form of a Wooper and Maestro as a Gastly. "Did you hear Tris?" Maestro said, "A Raikou he says. We're in for a worthy experience today." He wasn't easily aroused, but the thought of power of any kind enthralled the Zorua. Floating after the group and assuming Tris would follow, he made his way out to open area. The Ditto looked rather uncertain, but followed reluctantly nonetheless.
As Ivan began his assault, Tris ducked down, not thinking about his current immunity to electricity and more concerned with the Legendary that was going absolutely crazy. "Maestro!" the Ditto yelped, "What are we supposed to do here against him!?" Maestro chuckled and floated off, leaving the confused Ditto alone. With an angry look in his partner's direction, Tris made his way forward to get a better aim and fired a Mud Shot at the Raikou. ((-4 Ivan))
& &  ( Red & Blue & Purple )At the sight of the legendary the two were in awe. To fight a legend was difficult, an overpowered one was more difficult. As bolts of lightning came their way, Blue grabbed Red and got out of the way, moving back. They were told to prepare for a fight...well, it was time for that fight!
Blue let his claws extend as they began to glow purple, going around in some kind of dance as he used Swords Dance to boost his power. Red went on the offensive, opening her mouth and letting a Flamethrower come out and at the Raikou. Unlike Blue, she had no moves that helped herself.
[[ -1 to Ivan, Swords Dance on Blue ]] :: ✗ Basilisk :: Ren ✗Basilisk smirked at the sight of the legendary beast, so this was the problem? How...interesting. Much more fun than last time. He used his speed to his advantage, sidestepping the lightning that came at him, just barely dodging. Even if it did hit him, electricity didn't do much to a grass type...but even then, this was a different situation. He would have to be more careful. A bright light surrounded him as little circles formed a ring around him, spinning around and around. He looked at the Raikou and all of the circles went towards him, a cold wind trailing behind the icy Hidden Power.
A black Shadow Ball had begun to form in front of Ren, and at the same time her partner had launched his attack she fired hers, matching his speed so that the two attacks would land in unison. If all went well, they'd make it out of here unscathed.
  Atra && Melissa && KataraAw damn was that a legendary -OHGODLIGHTNING. The air shimmered for a moment as all the rain before the Flareon and the Bulbasaur flew together and froze into a large wall, moments before a bolt of lightning shattered it, scattering shards of ice in all directions. It absorbed the force of the blow though, meaning that the two Pokemon didn't get fried. "Do something about this stupid rain!" Atra roared at Melissa, who was scrambling to find the right orb. She finally grabbed a sunny orb, looking a little doubtful of its ability to override the Legendary's Rain Dance. But it was worth a try to weaken it at least; Ivan's Thunder Attacks were extremely lethal with the current weather. "Stay back." Atra warned his co-captain, his fur flaring in preparation for battle. Rain hissed and steamed as it got near him, and Melissa took a cautious step away from the Flareon even as she concentrated on her Orb- part of her was scared she might burst into flames if she stayed too near. Atra slammed a paw down into the ground, a sheer wall of rock rising up behind him as a shield for Melissa. Then he sprinted his way towards the Raikou in a round arc, seeing if he could get behind the Legendary without being noticed. They need to finish this quickly; a legendary with a relic meant they were going to have serious casualties the longer this takes. Katara, the insane ditto who never seems to realize her morality gave out a shrill battle cry and hopped into the air.    Morana && Incultyr && Acer && VeritasIncultyr swore. Great, a legendary. With one of those cursed pendants. And none of their own Legendaries seem to be around either. As a lightningbolt struck down at the members of Team Polaris, Veritas stood up on her hind leg for a second, towering over her teammates. The lightning struck her, making her fur spark as she landed back on all fours. She seemed shaken, but unharmed. "That was...weird." The move had been purely instinctive, and as she was still not fully used to being a Jolteon, getting struck by lightning had been kind of scary. But it actually felt pretty good. The entire team was pretty well off against such an enemy. Incultyr and Veritas were immune to the electricity, while Morana -with her Manectric blood- and Acer resisted its effects. They still needed to be careful, but it was definitely better than, oh, let's say that insane Vaporeon. The Team began to make their way forwards closer to their enemy. Acer and Incultyr lagged behind for obvious reasons as the two faster canines got within attacking range. Morana played it a bit safer by standing back and calling upon the odd power she had inherited once from swapping with a Vaporeon. Her mouth opened an a multicoloured beam of coldness splashed against the Raikou even as Veritas leaped over Ivan, kicking off the larger quadruped's back. Her claws dug into flesh even as the force propelled her away to land a safe distance away. Electricity sparked at the surface of her fur, barely able to contain the sheer power that had flowed into her from the Raikou, but it discharged safely into the ground. Veritas's legs shook from the amount of energy she now had at her disposable; it was like being high on adrenaline. It was about this time that a certain suicidal Ditto-Skarmory, steel-wings flared, crashed into the Raikou, the razor-sharp edges of her body digging in. She was almost immediately thrown off by the arcing electrical force. Katara laid stunned on the ground, unable to move. (-4, Mel's trying to counter the Rainy Day with a Sunny Orb)
   CelsusasdfImitiqwertyOliverqwerytChuckBecause of the rain, Chuck stayed inside while the rest of the Guild went out to confront the Raikou. Not wanting to be useless when the battle began, he moved to a window, opened it, and began slinging fireballs at Ivan. Celsus and Oliver both hung back. Normally they'd be charging, but this was a Raikou. They'd both be dead in seconds. Celsus settled for a blast of blue fire, while Oliver let loose with a knife. Given the amount of time they seemed to last, he carried a lot of extras. Imiti decided that he wasn't, as such, in the mood to watch the Palace be destroyed...again. The rebuilding costs alone must be exorbitant by now, and that's not even looking at the injuries from encountering just one pendant-wielder, most of which weren't even legendaries. Thus, Imiti decided to end it quickly. crackImiti was beside the Raikou, and grabbed hold of the pendant. The next crack wasn't from a teleport but from an arc of electricity that had just hit him. He crashed to the ground, and then realized he was within melee reach of Ivan and had presumably grabbed his attention in both hands and tugged. Not the smartest idea he'd come up with. xx xx xClairexAndrewx Judasx"Oh, Arceus." It had to be a legendary. Couldn't be some Joltik on crack, no, had to be a Raikou. Claire headed out into the storm with Judas on her tail. Andrew groaned and went and found a spot by a charmeleon, sending forth a dark pulse at the large opponent. The dratini rushed forward across the muddy ground, letting loose a dragon rage the moment she was within' reach. Judas sprinted forward, running ahead of the crowd and running close up to Ivan. Not the moment before he reached the pokemon, sparks started flying. Slowed down by the sudden uncoming of electricity, he was almost sure he's be glued down where he stood, hadn't it been for his ability that took in the boltage and used it to his advantage; Even then, the pain that was hitting him was incredible. He loved it. masochist The Jolteon stayed as far away from the legendary as he could as he bit down on Imiti's foot and shuffled backwards swiftly, trying to drag him through the spoils of the storm, not stopping until he reached a safe distance.
Ivan was less than amused at the onslaught of ineffectual blows. Fortunately, he seemed to be even less sane. The Raikou spun around, his head jerking about rapidly as he tried to keep track of the mass of attackers. His massive jaws snapped out at the Abra and Jolteon combo, simply because they were there. Fortunately, just before the Abra would have met his doom a lavender blur popped in and then back out of existence. "Are you suicidal!?"
Ivan's nose turned skyward as he noticed a large hole push through his clouds. For just a moment, the sunshine came through unabated. But with one deep howl, the clouds thickened and darkened, giving off an ominous rumble. The rain began to poor down once more, much thicker than it had been. All the while, pulses of electricity ripped through the earth to attack the guild. Was he even doing it consciously...?
Keep going! He's pretty nuts, but he's gotta get tired sooner or later. Maybe if you can exhaust him enough, he'll run out of juice and you can touch the pendant... Not like poor Imiti, there.
Anyone who touches Ivan is still paralyzed for one round! Ground types and Electric types are immune to this effect, but except to get attacked if you get too close!
The rain has redoubled! The ground is now wet and muddy... try not to slip! You might not get another chance!
Everyone roll one ten-sided die for every two characters you have with your next post! You'll find out why in the next round.
