cєℓєsтιαℓ ғιʀєғℓιєs:
I'm pretty damn desperate for a job right now. The only reason I have an internet connection is because my transportation sucks and it's more affordable than gas to go out hunting or go to the library to hunt online every day. I come on Gaia between perusing job sites all day.
Anyways, I came across a listing that said that one of the requirements for the job (cash processing at a Catholic hospital) was "reverence", followed by a description of spiritual connection and believing in God, etc. etc. I applied anyways. lol I figure they just put that in every posting and, considering the fact that I won't be interacting with anyone, it wouldn't end up being relevant anyways.
But is this even legal? I was under the impression that it wasn't. Is it different since it's a position in a Catholic hospital? They didn't ask about religion on the application, it was only in the description.

It's probably only illegal if the government does it. Not sure though.

Normally I'd say no, but it's a private organization (at least I think it is) so they can discriminate however they want :/. it's bullshit, but likely not illegal, unfortunately.

Only religious non-profits can do discriminate based on religion, but it's a grey area.
