"I still feel it's to early to give out to many details on the event, but here's what has been "leaked" so far.
1. Involves Rina
2. Many Gaia NPC's ~36 will be making an appearance
3. It will be yummy.
4. We will be adding something to the forums that has been requested for quite often... it may become a permanent site addition.
New Info
5. We will at the very least have a flash hangout for the first phase of the event.
The art assets for the event are still being worked on but maybe by this time next week I'll finally have something I can show you guys."
"This event will include two intertwined events. One event revolves around Rina. In the picture that DJ Hellsing showed at the panel... which occurred right after my camera died featured a picture of Rina with parts of her outfit censored. DJ Hellsing accredited the censor bars to the artist's desire to not spoil the items and hints that her outfit revealed. Also, it was "accidentally" revealed that the 2nd part of the Summer Event would include a grand fight between an obnoxiously large amount of NPCs. Users would pick one NPC to help along their path and win something at the end if their NPC reached their goal. Nothing else pertaining to the Summer Event was revealed... except that it should arrive at the end of June or the beginning of July."

Eh. I heard they were bringing FS back because it was so popular. But I thought it would be something different for the two part plot.

Interesting? I honestly don't know if I should be happy. Been waiting too long for an interactive plot but sick of these fights happening. This ain't some Facebook caliber RPG but that's what we keep gettin.

I'm looking forward to the hordes of NPCs in this event. Here's hoping some light will be shown on the characters we haven't heard from in a while.
Other NPC ideas: Logan, Cindy, Luca/Kuro, the characters from the Ghost storyline (there's no wrap up yet), Bruce Hardcastle (again), Blaze. May or may not make any sense whatsoever.
Can anyone think of any oft-requested forum features?

Yuh. It's confirmed, summer event is a pie eating contest. Also, no holiday NPCs.

For lack of a better word, that's lame. No offense to the planners, but unless there's some sort of insane brilliance that leads to that huge fight...
Anyway. Rina's involvement probably stems from her running the Buttercup Cafe. That's one mystery I'm pretty sure is solved.

Does Tenshi need to continue to make self-made events for summer?
Then again the 'Roflship of Fail' event I did last summer was. . .um. . .a failure (therefore it succedded?! WHAT? *explodes due paradox* )
If I do an RP or something like that, I'll post.
Saikyou Crisis, though it had a lack of participation, was pretty awesome to where it ended (And the ending of the story was pretty awesome too)

We could make observations-- various members of the GIB could attach themselves to the wierder, more "out there" NPCs; there have to be a few that aren't strictly holiday related-- and compare notes on their personalities, motivations and fighting styles back at base.

Yes. Honestly, if there is no EB or 07, I'm probably going with Natasha. I enjoy her. Maybe Sam though.
