Quote: Daichi, a small town on the edge of Kirigakure is suffering from frequent bandit raids. These bandits always come in small groups making it impossible to find their rallying figure, Infiltrate the bandits' hideout and take out or otherwise incapacitate the leader, breaking up the operation. Note: This mission takes place in an unspecified "out of RP" time so you can RP in town and in the mission at the same time.
Assigned Team: Team Natsumi (Batsu, Masaraku, Shinzu)

(Batsu decided that he was gonna go ahead and be at the gate before everyone else. The boy liked being early just so he can chill out for a bit before everyone else came. The boy double-checked to make sure he had everything he needed before heading out so when the others came, he was ready to roll out with the rest of them. In the meantime, Batsu grabbed a book out of his bag and started reading.

Masaraku arrived at the gate and waited on the third man ... if he would ever show up.

Batsu peeked over his book and saw Masaraku. The boy then went back to reading. At the same time, he started speaking. "I hope we won't be the only two doing this. I doubt either one of us know what we're doing..." Batsu ended up sighing a bit as his hand went up to turn the page.

Masaraku rolled her eyes, "Thanks for the vote of confidence teammate. It isn't as if this will be the first time I had to lure some idiot that didn't know life away from his mothers teat into a trap using myself as bait." She looked at him. "Even you noticed my body earlier. A little chakra to make my skin pale like yours and suddenly I am a beautiful woman. Sooooooo ... yeah ... I get naked, distract them, and drug them with something you cook up." She shrugged. 'This kid is going to nuke it.'

Batsu's eyebrow twitched and he slid his hand to the spine of the book.... his fingers on the front and back cover of the book. Closing his hand, he ended up closing the book. His eyes immediately locked on to Masaraku's after doing so. Clearly the boy was upset with the girl's response. "This is an infiltration mission, not a stripping contest. ... and what will you do if every single bandit isn't attracted to you? You'll end up getting every single one of us seriously hurt or killed. I don't know about you, but I don't want to go back to the hospital. You would think that someone who went on a mission and was knocking on death's door wouldn't want to go back either. We need to think this thing through... and next time, try to come up with an idea that shows you have an IQ greater than that of a baboon"

"Oh, are we talking about baboons?" Andou sauntered up to them and asked, having caught the tail end of Batsu's rant. "They're actually quite lovely creatures. You should meet one some day." How much of it was genuine and how much of it was trolling on Andou's part was unclear. "Yeah... your teammate Akara is a bit incapacitated at the moment. He'll join us shortly," he told them. "We'll just have to leave without him. Don't worry, I'm sure you both are more than enough for the task. Ready to leave?" he asked them. "It's about 4 hours' travel from here to Daichi."

Batsu rolled his neck and head in a circular motion before stopping and loopking at Andou."I'm ready. Been ready for a while." Batsu slid the book into his bag. There was no way he'd be able to read while en route to Daichi... especially since he had no clue where he was going in the first place.

Shinzu came to the gate, panting somewhat heavily, he had to lean over to catch his breath. "S-sorry! I-I had to take care of somethings." In reality, Shinzu had just been lazy and procrastinated, but they didn't need to know that, did they? With any kind of luck, none of them would ask while he was late.

[I'm going to pretend that Masaruka was suddenly called by the Hoshigaki clan elders to go on a much more clan-important and ~~secret clan stuff~~ missions. Is that OK?]
Andou barely bat an eyelid when Shinzu suddenly appeared. "Oh Akara. It's been a while. You look well." He barely had time to finish the sentence before suddenly, Masaruka disappeared. Andou immediately got into battle position and was halfway through drawing his sword when a huge blue guy with a formidable sword of his own materialised. At the sight of his Kirigakure headband, Andou relaxed slightly, but did not let down his guard. The blue man flashed something which Andou quickly recognised as the Hoshigaki insignia.
"We're just borrowing Hoshigaki Masaruka for a bit," the man said gruffly. "Clan things. We received approval from the relevant authorities." Immediately after he finished speaking, he too disappeared in a poof of smoke and Andou was left standing with Shinzu and Batsu at the gates of Kirigakure.
"... well." That had been a bit overdramatic really. Either that or they were in a large hurry. Andou supposed it wasn't any of his business what the clan wanted with Masaruka, so he turned to the genins. "Either way, as long as there's two of you, you'll be fine. Good to go then?"
[Let's just exit into Daichi unless you have any objections]

((No objections))
Batsu pushed himself off of tree tree and stretched a bit. He was anxious to get everything done and over with... there were a few jutsus that he wanted to learn once he returned. The boy casually looked over at Shinzu. To his surprise, he wasn't eating anything... yet. Batsu the looked over at Andou and straightened the bow that was on his back. "Yes... can we go now? I'm getting sick of waiting..." The boy huffed as he kicked the ground. His impatience was clearly getting to him. After all, he WAS the first one at the rendezvous point.

After four to five hours of travel, with an appropriate amount of breaks in between, the small groups finally reached Daichi. It hadn't been an arduous journey up and down mountains and crossing creeks, it had just been long. For over two hours the group had been walking in relative wilderness with nothing in sight except the long, plodding country roads. Daichi is a relatively modern little town that looks somewhat like this. It has all modern amenities including running water and electricity as well as telephone lines and mobile signal towers. Andou took the group into the inn where they would be staying (complimentary courtesy of the mayor) and allowed them to settle in. The room is reasonably furnished with three single beds, a bedside table for each and an en suite bathroom. The walls are painted a creamy green and there are a few paintings hanging on them. A large window overlooks the town square from the second floor. Meals are provided every morning and evening.

Andou stretched as he lounged on the bed, watching Batsu and Shinzu. He had immediately made a beeline for it upon the innkeeper's leave and had claimed the one closest to the window. Dumping his bag of things on the floor next to his bed, he waited for Batsu and Shinzu to get settled.
When they were done, he spoke. "So the town mayor is going to meet with us sometime around now to give us the full briefing. But I'm interested in what you think of the mission now. Do you have any strategies or ideas of what you'd do and any expected situations you'd find yourself in?"

As they arrived at the town, and entered the Inn Shinzu's mind naturally began to think of the various tactical situations they could find themselves in, as well as strategies they could use to defeat the bandits. "We'll have to find the hideout won't we, sir?" Shinzu asked Andou, before adding "We can't just leave the village unguarded can we?" A plan was forming in Shinu's head, but for now he just wanted to get an idea of what Andou's plan was, he was, afterall, leading the mission.

Andou nodded. "Yes to the first one. That's a given, of course. The small groups of the bandits mean that to apprehend each group individually would be an inefficient way of stopping the operation. And the main base will quickly catch wind of the whole situation. And you make a good point for the second one. Although I'm not how doable that is with only two of you. It might be more effective to simply locate the base and deal with the bandits there and then." He got up and started to unpack, placing various items on the bed. "After the mayor's briefing, I'd like you to go out and gather some information from the townspeople. Just to get a different perspective on the area. Ah, that reminds me."
From his pack, Andou retrieved 2 radio sets and gave one each to Batsu and Shinzu. "You can use these to contact me. These work across tens of miles so they will definitely work across town and, if we're lucky, inside the base."
