Join Requests

If you wish to join this squad you will need to post below, providing a nice rp sample so that I may evaluate your skill level. Try to make your sample at least two-three paragraphs long, but the longer the better. Also, provide a link to your profile in the post. Literacy is important in this squad, but as long as you are willing to improve yourself you will be welcome here.

Username: Elemental Zanpaktou

Profile: Torik Ishikawa

RP Sample: I'm not sure if this is relevant or not, but I was actually 4th seat in this squad with another character of mine that died. now here's my sample:

After parrying with his trainer, Torik pushed off of his trainer's blade with his own zanpaktou. He slid back and quickly got into a defensive stance, seeing his trainer rushing at him. The white haired shinigami thrusts his zanpaktou toward his instructor's right leg. The trainer dodged of course, and Torik's zanpaktou went straight into the ground, perfect. This had been What Torik was hoping for as he jumped up to avoid his trainer's attempt to kick his leg. Torik quickly balanced on his palm for a moment and then bounced off it, sending his leg flying toward the instructor's stomach as he raised his zanpaktou. The instructor flew a few feet back as Torik pulled his zanpaktou from the earth, rushing his trainer. As the trainer hit the ground and was about to get up, Torik was already standing above him with his zanpaktou at the trainer's throat.

The instructor just grinned and said, "Very well done, though your skill with your zanpaktou needs improvement, your skill in hand-to-hand combat is very impressive." Torik smiled as he sheathed his zanpaktou and put out his hand for his instructor to take. "Thank you sir." The trainer took his hand with a smirk, as he got up he didn't let go of Toriks hand. He pulled him in and kneed Torik in the stomach. Torik went wide-eyed as he grabbed his stomach and hit the floor. "Never give your opponent an opening." The instructor started walking toward a tree. "Lunch Time!" Torik just grinned as he got up slowly, "That was a cheap shot damnit!!" The instructor laughed as he started eating a rice ball. "There is no such thing as a cheap shot in a battle." Torik just smirked at his instructor as he walked over to eat lunch as well. Oh yeah? Lets see how you like it after lunch.

After lunch Torik was sitting next to a tree as his trainer was resting above him on a tree branch. He looked up into the sky with boredom. "Are we going to get back to training yet?" Torik asked with slight annoyance in his voice, at times his instructor could be so lazy. His laziness was starting to rub off on Torik and it was annoying him. The trainer just looked at him and chuckled. "Patience kid, a good part of training is resting and recovering. Also, knowing when you have been beaten." The instructor chuckled again as he saw Torik's annoyed face. " I had you beat!" Torik then just shook his head and chuckled with his trainer, despite the laziness and slight annoyance Torik and his trainer really had a small bond. "Alright kid, you want more. Come and get it." He said as he stood on the branch and drew his zanpaktou. Torik grabbed the hilt of his zanpaktou ready to draw it for round two, but then an explosion was seen in the distance.

Torik and his trainer look into the direction the blast came from, his instructor's face more serious than ever before. "I think is a Hollow. He said before jumping down and looking back at Torik. "Stay here and wait for me to return, you're not ready yet." Before Torik had a chance to argue his trainer was already running off toward the Hollow. Torik waited until he could not see his trainer anymore, he couldn't take being left behind and he wanted to help. Torik started running toward his trainer and the Hollow, into the forest. When he had finally caught up with them he saw his instructor and other shinigami on the floor. His trainer was on the verge of death as he looked up and saw Torik, before he had a chance to say anything he was blasted by a Cero at point blank range. The instructor was now dead, Torik just watched in horror. "NO! He yelled as he drew his zanpaktou and got into a battle position. "I swear I'll kill you!" The young shinigami's voice was filled with rage, he then pushed off his feet and ran toward the Hollow with his zanpaktou in his right hand.

The Hollow thrusts it claw toward Torik, he just jumped out of the way and countered slashing his blade toward its arm. The zanpaktou only went half way into the Hollows arm, this just seemed to annoy the beast as it pulled is arm back, to disconnect the blade from its arm, and backhanded Torik. This caused him to fly through a tree and into another tree, denting it. Torik's vision was blurred from the hit, he wasn't sure what category this Hollow fell under, but from the stories it looked like an Adjuchas. If it was, then Torik wouldn't stand a chance at his level. The Adjuchas jumped and was about to land on Torik, but he rolled to the side barely avoiding it. He felt weak and his vision still blurred, but he still thrusts his blade through the Hollow's shoulder after he rolled. The Hollow just opened its mouth and was charging a Cero, This is it... He thought, thinking he was going to die then and there. At the last moment a shinigami Shunpo'd in between the two and cut the Hollows head off. This shinigami had a Captain's Haori on so it must have been a Captain, but Torik couldn't see who it was.

The mysterious Captain sheathed his zanpaktou as the Hollow dissolved into the atmosphere. As the Captain was walking toward Torik he passed out from his injuries. The young shinigami Torik then awoke many hours later in a 4th squad recovery room. He sat up and a nurse came to him "You must lay down, you are still gravely injured." Torik just looked at the nurse and asked. "Where is the Captain that brought me here?" The nurse just looked at him and raised an eye brow in confusion. "A Captain brought you? We didn't see any Captain, I just walked in and saw you laying on one of our operation tables. Which Captain was it that brought you?" Torik just looked down trying to remember what he looked like or at least the number on his Haori. " I don't know, I was on the verge of passing out when I saw him save me. Then I passed out before I got a good look at him. Torik just laid back down and looked at the ceiling thinking of his now deceased mentor. I will make you proud some day.... Takeru Tenshu.

((I never had a chance to kill my other Character I made after I killed my 4th seat so I'll just do it in this Rp sample biggrin lol))

Hymn of the Silent

PostPosted: Tue Jan 24, 2012 12:06 pm

Username: Hymn of the Silent
RPC: Kago Kodate
Reason: Well I figure staying an unseated shinigami without a Squad is just silly, but also I've had a place in my heart for the 10th Division ever since I can remember. Also, Kodate has a shield. This place is the Advanced Guard. I think that's pretty compelling evidence, no? If not, READ MAH STUFF AND JUDGE ME.
Sample:

It was a devastation blow, indeed. The tall shinigami lay sprawled against the ground, his head propped up at an incredibly awkward angle by the wall he had smacked into not moments ago, laying in the porous rubble that had been created by his rather unfortunate connection with the supports of the building. Everything was a blur, and his head throbbed dully with the unmistakable agony that comes with having your head connect with solid stone at high speeds. With a groan he rolled over to his chest, propping himself up with limbs he could barely feel, let alone use. He couldn't feel how shaky they were, only that they were almost failing at their job. Somehow he managed to get onto his hands and knees, his chest heaving from the simple exertion of staying conscious, which was an intense mental battle at this point. Fumbling on the ground, his fingers awkwardly sifted through the rubble until it hit metal. Grasping it, he pulled his zanpaku-to back over to him. The rasp of metal sliding across stone grated against his ears just a little, but he paid it no mind. He hooked three fingers into the hand hold of the shield's underbelly, and pushed himself to standing.

He stumbled a little, and was about to fall backwards until he shot a hand out and caught himself against the wall. Another groan escaped his lips as he struggled to put the shield back onto his left arm. It almost felt as if the spirit inside the weapon had aided him, for he had no idea how he managed to put it back on. Hell, he wasn't even sure how much time had passed. Blood flowed from his forehead, down his nose, across his lips before freefalling off of his chin. It wasn't a superficial cut by any means, but it wasn't life threatening either. Vision still blurred he looked out the hole that his body had created in the building; he wasn't in the mindset for counting but it was more than two. Kodate took a slothful step forward, wobbling quite a bit.

A silhouette came into view from the hole that led outside. He didn't need perfect vision to know it was the monstrous powerhouse of a man that had sent him there in the first place. He hefted his shield up once more, and bent low. His muscles shook violently at the effort, but Kodate would not be a man to die on his knees. If Kodate was to die, it would be standing, facing his opponent. Making one final stand. And given the creeping black that began to invade his vision, it might be today.

Heyo, welcome to the 10th Squad, Hymn!

Now, I'm willing to start you off as a 5th Seat for now. Keep up the activity, continue to impress me, and you'll find yourself heading up through the ranking quickly enough. Keep in mind the seating system in the 10th Squad involves two people per spot.

Also, if you want any training let me know on and after this Friday!

Thank you.
