Full Image NEWAlka is a leviathan sized beluga sturgeon mermaid. Her eyes would normally be that wide, though her experiences and general outlook on the situation left her looking much older and more sour. Like all mermaids, she wears upper clothing, but not on the bottom. She wears a white, abbreviated tank top with the symbol for Anarchy in the middle. The shirt always is wet, and looks that way, indicating she spends very little time above the surface of the water.

Personality: Alka is a lone mermaid whose size is enough to intimidate most other would-be predators, and generally only has sea kings and banananawi to fear as possible predators. Alka is a bully who hangs around more of the shallow waters, primarily to avoid predators, but to make up for her real weakness. Has a penchant for destroying boats and eating humans. The bigger the boat, the more violently it should be destroyed, or quickly, anyway. Alka cannot truly move on land, and avoids the situation if at all possible. The farthest she is comfortable in reaching inland is with one hand, with only enough of her body out of the water to effectively be considered her hip level. Of course, if the island is really small enough, she could technically reach everything on the island, but such a rare occurrence. Very sour, bitter, grudge-holding/nursing and short-tempered, but is somewhat motherly towards young girls, like her captains.
Biography: Born inside Fishman Island, Alka was noticeably bigger than any other of her siblings by her first birthday. By age three, she couldn't fit in the house. Most people speculated it was because of her incredible appetite, but it is unknown why she got to the size she is today. But by age ten, Alka was sent outside of the city to forage for food for herself, usually having someone go with her to make sure she was safe. This worked well for another five years. At which point Alka couldn't really fit inside the entrance any more, and had to say goodbye through whispering and touching her pinky fingernail to her family's hands. Small compared to sea kings, Alka traversed the sea, gradually swimming her way in a general north-northwest direction. She lived the life of a vagabond, or wanderer anyway, for the next 7 years. It is somewhere at this point in time when she encountered ships. These ships happened to belong to the world government, and with a noble onboard, no less. Alka had been spotted near the surface, swimming along with the full intent to ignore the humans who "dreamed of being everything that they, the superior merfolk, were, but could never be." The noble, roused by the talk of a giant white fish, also spotted Alka, and demanded that she be captured. Of course, not much they had on board would actually reach Alka, but after being hit with a sinking cannonball or two, it got her attention that the ships were following her and attacking. With not so much as a second thought, Alka swam around, circling closer to the ships and shoved the closest one with her hands, capsizing it. Closer to the surface, she was actually struck in the head a few times. Enraged, Alka actually lifted her tail out of the water and crushed another ship before grabbing hold of another and pulling it under, to tear it to pieces. Sailors were clawed, bitten in half, and even eaten alive in the frenzy. Needless to say, the entire "venture" was lost, and no trace of the noble was ever found. Alka developed a hatred for these ships, and almost went out of her way to attack one. This continued for almost two years, before she was driven off by seemingly endless marine ship replacements combined with nets that threatened to ensnare her. She hadn't thought it possible for nets to be big enough. They weren't very interested in pursuing her once she left though, and she initially took up residence under Honeycomb Island, but has since been driven out and on the move again. Supposedly, Alka is still growing to her "adult" stage.
Since the destruction of Honeycomb Island and the consequent murder of its residents, Alka has been "set free", to which she has been wreaking havoc and destruction upon most villages and ports she stops at, primarily due to marine provocation, or even mere presence of said forces. This has netted their attention, and labeled Alka with an actual bounty, her first. If of course, the marines knew all of her past crimes, then her bounty would have been much higher, and would likely be the current highest bounty in the entire of the world.
