[ 19 ]The υniverse welcomed me on. . .[ December 13, 1992 ]α lot of people say I'm. . . [ Yuu is a slightly shy and timid boy, but his bravery isn't unseen. When Yuu is upset, he's known to storm off and sit alone for a bit. He also has a tendecy to cry at the slightest thing due to his over-sensitivity. But, he's usually a very cheerful boy. ]can you blame me for what I am now? After all, I grew up. . . [ Yuu's race is called La'Ri (la-ree), an underwater human race that live on a continent beneath the sea called La'Rin (la-rune), covered entirely by a large atmosphere of it's own--a planet within a planet. On La'Rin, there are strange creatures called Rin'Ians (rune-eon), the very first creatures on La'Rin. They are gorgeous creatures that never harm the La'Ri. The legend of the Rin'Ians isn't exactly known, but it is believed they existed on La'Rin long before it sank to the sea floor.
As a child, Yuu was always fascinated by the Rin'Ians. He studied them, and even befriended some of them. When he entered his adolesence, he decided to leave his duties as the La'Ri prince and embark on a journey to tame the Rin'Ians. The journey took nine full years of non-stop travel and fighting to complete his quest. He became known as the Great Rin'Ian Tamer, and is the only one within his race to tame the Rin'Ians to this very day. The title never meant much, though. All he wanted was to study the Rin'Ians and become friends with each of them--and that is what he did. But, his life on La'Rin grew boring since his return.
So, he decided to ascend to the surface to find a new life. He is the first to ever attempt such an act, and has become the youngest La'Ri to ever make it into history, and the youngest La'Ri hero of all time. Upon arriving on the surface, he arrived at the school. He hopes to meet many people and learn about the surface's history. Even though he doesn't come off as it at first, Yuu is homosexual. However, since he is the prince of his land, he was raised to be considerate and caring for females. It's something he takes seriously, which gives most people the feeling that he's heterosexual. ]αbilities? (( Note: The story of La'Rin, the La'Ri, and the Rin'Ians is of my very own creation. I would like everyone to respect it as such. I don't mind if you want a La'Ri character. Feel free to PM me to ask if it is alright. I hope this isn't too much trouble for anyone. ))

I don't know if I am technically supposed to post here, but because this caused me some degree of bemusement I figured I would comment that playing the same exact character in more than one role play is sometimes very confusing xp Not that you can't do it, but I wish you luck all the same. I guess welcome to Fuyu Academy, as well? ( don't know if you are new here or if I am just crazy )

Allsixcolours I don't know if I am technically supposed to post here, but because this caused me some degree of bemusement I figured I would comment that playing the same exact character in more than one role play is sometimes very confusing xp Not that you can't do it, but I wish you luck all the same. I guess welcome to Fuyu Academy, as well? ( don't know if you are new here or if I am just crazy ) (( I know, but I'm horrible at creating roleplay characters. The way I see it, as long as the two guilds aren't in conjuction [they work together], I don't see why I can't use the same character in both. ^^; ))

NYAHOO!!! Hi there!!! Sorry for the delay... well....
Yuu Takahashi is almost accepted... great story and nice personality but... using water, fire, earth and air.... leave that to Aang (The Last Airbender) lol. Sorry but n the Academy students cant be almighty... So please choose 1 element... maybe he is learning to control another... dont know n_n

Thanks!!!(( Yuu is based off of a character in a book I'm writing, so I can't just change his abilities. I'll just cut out all his other powers. I don't see what the big deal is. There's a reason I put "these abilities were weakened" in his profile, but fine. I changed his profile like you requested. ))

Hi there!!! Well we're working n the dorms but we had many students n the list sweatdrop I think yours is n the next round.
But... when I approve a profile, that character is able to go around Fuyu, the maid caffe, the courtyard, the town so everyone can post while we assign them.

[ Because La'Ri are immortal, Takano is over a few million years. However, he appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties. But, since the elemental environment of La'Rin no longer supports his body, Takano is now a mortal until he returns home.]

[ Takano is a stern, hard man with a heart of gold. He's mostly focused on the safety of others rather than his own, which makes him a loyal companion. However, people can count on Takano's quick betrayal if Yuu's life was at stake, so he is also an enemy. However, he's a bit of a flirt and is rather social. You can always count on him to be around new people and being a cheerful man, like a teenager at a party. ]

[ Takano's childhood was a fair upbringing. His father was a respected blacksmith and his mother was one of the first female warriors of La'Rin. He has a younger brother, but because the boy never saw Takano as someone to love, he lost contact with him as a young adult when he left home to begin his dream of being a mercenary. During the first few months of his journey, Takano was attacked by a Dresden, La'Rin's independent race of human/dragon hybrids created by La'Ri hatred and sorrow. He stumbled onto the Shrine of Mana, injured and dying. He was saved by Manaketh, the Diety of Mana and king of the Dieties. That day, Takano inheritted the powers to control all thirteen of the elements that made up La'Rin. At first, he used this power often. However, he soon learned that doing so exhausted his own body mana, and now only uses it when it's absolutely necessary. Mainly to heal and calm others.
It wasn't until nineteen years before his arrival on the surface that he met a young woman whom he came to love deeply and passionately. For a couple of years, the two grew close and fell in love. Takano shared one night of passion and love with her before he was called on by a wealthy family to escort them to Sapphire City, which was on the other side of La'Rin. It was a heartbreaking job, but he swore to return to his love as soon as possible. It was not to be. Before he could leave Sapphire City, travel was restricted. It was a precaution for the prince's wedding. When he returned to La'Rin's capitol city of Serdi, he was devestated. He learned that the prince had stolen the woman he loved, and the child they had undoubtedly concieved together. Heartbroken and unwilling to go on, Takano tried to end his life that very night. However, the Diety of Water, Tipha, healed him, refusing to let him die. Then, a year later, fate played a cruel joke on Takano. He was hired by the new king and queen to be the guardian and caretaker of the young prince. Naturally, Takano accepted. He had intentions to tell the boy of his true heritage. However, his heart was shattered once again by the woman he loves even to this day. "I do not want Yuu to know of his true parentage. You will be his guardian and caretaker only. If you tell the child, I will have you executed for treason against the royal family. Do you hear me, Takano Endune? You are not his father." Still, Takano accepted. Being with Yuu as a caretaker and guardian was better than not being with him at all. Throughout the years, Takano became Yuu's everything. His cook, his butler, his weapon's teacher, his tutor, and even a fatherly figure.
It was Takano the boy confided in his plans to tame the Rin'Ians. Encouraging the boy was Takano's actions to that, and he joined Yuu on his journey to protect him. There are a lot of rebels who would gladly kill the future king of La'Rin, so naturally the king and queen couldn't refuse Takano's request. Upon Yuu's leaving, Takano couldn't live on La'Rin anymore. He couldn't be without his son, and followed the boy to the surface. He's only just arrived at Fuyu Academy. ]
αbilities? Yeah, I have . . .
[ Once had the ability to control La'Rin's thirteen elements. However, the lack of elemental support has exhausted this ability until he returns home. He also has a telepathic connection with Yuu, which he uses to sense if the boy is in danger. He can channel his body mana to his sword to perform rare attacks known as artes, though the ability exhausts him more than it ever did due to the lack of elemental and immortal support, so using this ability is a last resort for him now. Also, it's not necessarily an actual ability, but he is able to block pain to a certain limit. ]

cяєω I'm sorry, but I can't approve him.
First of all, he's immortal. Never dying and not being physically able to die is a version of god-modding.
- He's too powerful: Being able to control 13 elements without limitation (even though he will rarely use it), telepathy, and channeling energy into his sword is way too much; you'll need to tone him down.
- Thirdly: The ability to block pain to the highest degree. It could be taken as a light version of god-modding, depending on how you use it, or how nit-picky the person/reader is. Is it "just something he's always been able to do", or something like CIPA?
Last but not least, don't forget to take a look in the Departments! We'd love to have more teachers!
