Xander laid on his bed upside down so his feet was on the head board. He stared up blankly at the ceiling, lost in thoughts. Frost was due back for another few hours, he had trained with his pokemon, been on his laptop, played his violin and even get some sleep. Nothing helped. "Booooored!" he said in a whiny voice, knowing full well no one was here to hear him so he could get away with it. "I'm this close to just randomly going out and...!" he paused in his bored talking as a plan formed in his head. A mischievous grin spread across his face as he rolled off the bed and left the room. He kept an eye out for anyone he knew from the Rockets milling about as he walked down the hallways. Finally he spotted someone, someone he knew would most likely know of at lest something to do, or would go along with his idea.

This unaware 'someone' leaned back against a wall, throwing a pokeball up and catching it again, his main focus centered on the 'dex in his other hand. He was sifting through the applications, trying out each one; mentally making note of their existence and uses for future reference. He never knew when he would need to use one in a tight situation when there was limited time available to him. Best to learn all of them now.
As footsteps approached, the trainee glanced up, his serious expression immediately breaking into a cheerful smile at the recognition of the grunt. "Xander!" he cried. "I haven't seen you since the party. How have you been?" Flipping closed his pokedex, Trainee Nakura placed it in the pocket of his parka, slipping his hand in with it and doing the same with his pokeball and other hand in the opposite pocket. "Up to anything lately?"

Xander gave a grin to Izaya as he stopped next to him. "Nakura, staying out of trouble yet? I've been doing good, an you?" he asked and lightly rocked on his heels. He wondered if the trainee would be actually behaving or not but he doubted it. In fact he counted on it, after all he had some ideas didn't he? "Not a lot I'm afraid. It just seems everything it just a bit on the slow side today don't you agree?" he asked, eyes glinting with mischief. It wasn't often he let his self get like this, and he had certainly tempered it since he had stayed at head quarters but he was bored.

"For the most part, yes," Nakura chuckled. "I'm not in any hurry to dig myself a deeper hole than I'm already in. But it's been terribly boring following all the rules all the time. How do you stand it?"
Catching the mischievous glint in the grunt's eye, the older Rocket grinned. "Heh. Every day I'm stuck doing the mundane tasks of a trainee is slow to me. But if it's been slow to you, one of the grunt rank, then it must be bad." Having taken Xander for a goodie-two-shoes type of adolescent - how else would he have obtained grunt status so young? - Izaya was more than amused, and mildly surprised.
"What about your roommate?" he asked casually, glancing back to his 'dex. Out the corner of his eye, however, he watched Xander for a reaction. "Isn't he interesting enough for you?" And what would he say if he'd seen that look in your eye? the informant added mentally. He had assumed that one of the reasons Xander and Frost seemed to get along so well was because Izaya had pegged the teen as an obedient, responsible Rocket. But then, what had that look been for?

"Ah yes I see. It would certainly be a problem if you got into more trouble. I hear 'demoted for life' is an issue." Xander chuckled and nodded. He stopped rocking on his heels then leaned against the wall with a thoughtful look. "How do I do it all the time? Hmm, well I can manage it for a while, you don't grow up in Mom's house with out knowing how to behave." he then smirked. "At least unless you knew how to not get caught."
"It's boring no matter what your rank is. I just spent two years as a field scout, I never stayed at HQ for very long." Xander said and looked up at the ceiling as he remembered all that time. "And before that I spent three years on a regular pokemon journey. Needless to say, being cooped up with only a few times to go out leaves you feeling confined to say the least." He was curious to what Nakura did before he joined Team Rocket. Did he stay in one spot? Did he travel? Did he come from another region? But he didn't ask just yet.
Xander looked back at Nakura and tilted his head slightly with a small almost hidden blush."Of course Frost is interesting." He couldn't even tell if asked why he was so interested in the older man as he knew it was not just his looks that drew Xander in like a moth to flame. "And he's part of the reason I have been able to stand playing by the rules for these months." he said offhandedly but didn't offer any more on the subject.
The talk was keeping his attention and managing his boredom levels for the moment but the blond started to wonder if he should mention his idea's soon to Nakura. If the other didn't want to play then Xander would just have to occupy his time by his self. But from the grins the shorted man had given during the talk, the teen didn't think it would be too much of a problem.

"Oh? That's something I haven't heard. Though I guess any consequence with the word 'life' in it is better than death." He watched as Xander stopped rocking his heels like a guilty little boy and leaned against the nearest wall instead. "Heheh, so that's how it is," he sneered. "I like that."
"How wonderful. And here I was so looking forward to getting a promotion," Nakura sighed with mock disappointment, examining his nails. "It must be more fun outside of headquarters, though, as a field scout. Not that I'll be earning back that privilege any time soon." His crimson gaze flickered up at Xander briefly. "Unless, of course, I have an adequate chaperone."
Scrutinizing the grunt with a sly grin, he laughed inwardly with silent satisfaction at the subtle blush spreading across the younger man's face. "Oh, my. That sounds naughty. What have you two been doing in that room of yours, Xander-kun? Do you wait until you're behind closed doors to misbehave?" He knew it was an almost direct provocation, but he wanted to test the blonde.
Nakura still wasn't sure at all what sort of person he was, and the grunt was already changing the trainee's initial first impression of him. He wanted to know how much it would take to push him over the edge. Was he hardy and enduring, like Frost? Patient, like Faleen? Laid-back and carefree, like Jerome? Passive-aggressive, like Aila, or just plain temperamental like Seth?

Xander chuckled and nodded. "Yes life is vastly preferred over death." he hadn't heard of anyone who had been rebellious enough to warrant death but then again, would he even hear about it? His eyes flickered over to Nakura and he gave a grin. "Never underestimate the brain power of a bored ten year old." he said, remembering a certain incident that involved two gallons of paint, one ton of feathers, ten buckets of honey and a not so stable trip wire.
"Oh I'm sure you'll return to being a grunt, after all your punishment was only for two months right?" he laughed and lightly bumped Nakura. "It is more fun to be out there sometimes, though I will admit that it can be fun inside HQ as well." Xander had caught the look that the older man had given and he smirked back. "And I wonder where you could find one."
Xander didn't even bat an eye at the sly grin but when Nakura started to imply that something more private was going on between him and Frost the blush grew darker. "Oh hush you. What goes or does not go on between the two of us is none of your business." He would not go into fantasies right now thank you very much and he certainly would not get riled from some teasing.

"Ahh, the power of boredom. What horrible concepts are born of it." Nakura sighed. "Do I dare even ask?" If Xander was anywhere near as mischievous as his sisters had been when they got bored, Nakura didn't want to know about it. Then again, he didn't have much room to talk, but he had conveniently forgotten what he had been like at that age for the moment.
"Two months, two years - who knows when Seth will change his mind?" the trainee complained. "At first it was just two months, but when he demoted me, he said I had to have his explicit approval before I could be promoted. At this point, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he labeled me a permanent Trainee on his will just to spite me. He's a vengeful sort of executive." He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Yes, yes I wonder too...any recommendations?"
"So there are private things going on in there!" Izaya exclaimed excitedly, his satisfaction only growing as Xander's blush deepened. "Look at you, getting all hot and bothered. I've hardly even brought up the subject, and you're already getting so flustered! I had no idea you were such a sensitive guy, Xander-kun," the trainee murmured, moving his single digit from his chin to trace along the tall blond's chest.

Xander shrugged slightly with a grin. "Maybe, maybe not." So he didn't take to boredom well, oh well. "I'm sure you have quite a few stories that could match or surpass any of mine." he said with an amused look.
"There, there, maybe your just over thinking it. Maybe he will have a moment of out of characterness and let you be promoted." Oh he knew he should not have said it with a teasing tone but he couldn't help it. "But truthfully I think you will get back up to grunt status at some point." Oh way of another Nakura would find a way to be promoted, Xander was sure of it. Of course now he was starting to think against telling the older man his original plan and just doing something alternative out side HQ. "Hmmm, I would suppose it would depend on where you were going, why you were going and what said person had for plans."
Xander couldn't help but laugh even through his blushing. "Nothing is going on like that." Maybe some where down the road once Frost was more used to touch though...no better not start daydreaming or Nakura really would believe something was going on beside the flirting. He moved the brunettes hand way with a roll of his eyes. "Only when it comes to somethings am I sensitive." he drawled with a chuckle.

"Actually, believe it or not, I was the vice president of my elementary school's student council. A good little boy - at least up until middle school." When he had stabbed his friend and gotten taken into protective custody. That hadn't been good. Still, no point getting into that. "But what's in the past is in the past and what's important is how they've shaped who we are today."
"Right, right. And Grumpig will rain from the sky," Nakura chuckled darkly. "You just enjoy out-ranking me, don't you? You act all kind and comforting, but in reality, you revel in the fact that you're my superior." Playfully elbowing the blonde, he gave him a knowing look. "Why don't you just hurry up and tell me what's been on the tip of your tongue since you saw me? You can't have just come by to say hello. It's too coincidental."
Regarding Xander with an incredulous look, the informer raised a brow. "Fine, I'll take your word for it. Besides, if there was, I'm sure you'd probably be incapable of speech by now." Allowing his hand to be brushed aside with a grin, Nakura feigned having taken offense to the gesture. "Does that mean I'm not pretty enough?" he asked, pretending to sound hurt as he dramatically turned away, his wrist poised against his forehead. "Am I nothing to you, Xander-kun?!"

"Really? You'll have to tell me how that came about some time." Xander laughed. It was a bit hard to see Nakura as a once upon vice president but he did manage it. "But yes that is true, the past does shape us."
"Not true, I genuinely would like to see you go back up to being an equal. I'm more amused by the fact that it was your own fault that got you booted down." The blond said with a smirk and poked Nakura on the side. "Hmmm... Are you sure you want to know? If caught you could get in more trouble~." He teased with a grin.
The blush darkened at the brunettes words and he waved his hand in the air. "I could probably get some speech out thank you. Wouldn't necessarily be coherent though." he chuckled, just rolling with it for now. "Pretty enough?" Xander echoed with a laugh. "Nakura your pretty enough but your not my type." he answered truthfully. "And your a friend, not nothing."

"I was!" Nakura insisted, sensing Xander's skepticism. "I used to be a top student! But like I said, in the past..." he snickered. "Now I've thrown in my lot with a criminal organization. Oka-san would be so proud."
Sneering, the brunette gave the younger man a wink. "I had to make some sort of impression, didn't I? But I assure you, it was never my intention to get demoted. Especially after just asking a few, perfectly harmless questions." As he was poked, he stepped up closer to Xander, Nakura invading the blonde's personal space as he seemed to be fond of doing. "Ohhhh deeeear! More trouble? It sounds so scaaary, Xander-kun! Heh." His grin darkened as he narrowed his eyes, growing impatient. "Spill it."
"Shame," the informer replied as he pinched Xander's cheek affectionately, released it, and patted it upon turning away. "That's exactly what Frosty-chan said." Uh oh. Had his tongue slipped again? Hopefully Xander wouldn't notice - or remember the nickname from before. "Oh well. I guess I could do with a friend or two. Now what's this really all about, mm? I'm getting anxious."

Xander laughed and shook his head slightly. "Well it is true that people change so I believe you for the most part." he said with a wink. At the mention of a 'proud mama' he thought back to his one mother and tried to imagine her reaction to him being in Team Rocket and winced ever so slightly. Yeah, that would not be pretty.
"What exactly did you ask him to set him off? Not that it's hard to get him mad from what I know." he asked curiously with a tilt of his head. He blinked when the man got closer but didn't bother to step away, figuring h would just follow anyway. "Are you suuuuuure you want to know Na-ku-ra?" he teased with a smile and looking up to the ceiling.
He rubbed his abused cheek after the pinch and looked back at Nakura. Where had he heard that nickname before? His eyes narrowed at the man as he thought. It wouldn't take him long to put the pieces together, even if that day he had been focused on Frost almost completely. Well it certainly explained why Frost was so hostel with Nakura- excuse him, Izaya Orihara. "And I might leave you anxious for a while Orihara." he drawled and crossed his arms. By now he wasn't all that annoyed with the man as it had been a while since then but he was making a small point. "But then again I would get bored of that so I might as well tell."

"Seems like your mother would be just as proud," Nakura sneered, catching Xander's wince. "As far as what I asked Seth, it was just a matter of what to call him! He didn't take to 'Seth-kun' so well, so I asked if 'Seth-ou' would do, since he certainly seemed to act like he was a king."
"If I didn't want to know, would I still be here?" the trainee asked sweetly. "But if you don't tell me in the next five minutes, I just may have to take you into the nearest bathroom and do things to persuade you to talk. I'm an info-broker, remember? I know how to get the information I want."
Flinching at the sound of his true surname, the brunette got ready to run. Luckily, Xander didn't seem as pissed off as he thought. "Ehhh? Who's that?" he laughed. "It's 'Nakura', remember? Are you confusing me with another lover of yours, perhaps?"

Xander hummed in agreement. His mother would most likely blow a gasket if she learned of his job. He gave Izaya a shrug though. "I only have a vague sense of some Japanese so I can't see why that would have set him off." Maybe he should learn Japanese just to understand things like that that popped up.
His eyes flickered with amusement over to Izaya and he smirked. "Oh no, not things!" he should probably stop teasing hi so much but turning tables on him was fun. "But alright I'll tell why I sought you out." One fun ended for another right? And he didn't want his friend to be too mad at him an potentially say no to his plans. "How much do you know of the prank groups of grunts?"
Xander poked Izaya with an amused grin. "Now, now, Orihara, it's not nice to lie." he said and leaned back farther on the wall. "And trust me, if you were one of my past lovers I wouldn't be calling you by your name." At least the male one anyway. Jesse, his only girlfriend, he had split on pleasant terms with.
