Next month on June 30th is the shop's 6th birthday! To celebrate this awesome event we will be having a traditional art contest for your pet(s). There will be pets and gold/items as prizes and a number of categories.
If you'd like your pet to be in the contest then please use this thread. Those who have paid for slots and your pet has not arrived yet then please post the custom form. When the pet is finished then please edit your post with the pet's image.
Please fill out this form below and post it in the thread. Every soquili owner may sign up 5 pets max. If you co-own a pet then only one co-owner may sign up the pet so that we don't get multiple entries.
NOTE: You ARE Allowed to make the cert an image! But Uncerts need to be a Link.
PS: you may link up to 5 close family members/Rivals (mates, adopted/biological children, etc) in the 'information' part of the form for each soquili, and they CAN be drawn, but they cannot be the focus of the picture. Describe the pet's personality: There are a lot of things about Tiarnan he would rather you didn't know. His location, for one, or the identity of his family members. He's intensely secretive about the things closest to him, but can be surprisingly open about the things that don't link as closely with his heart. He enjoys conversing about the intricacies of a flower, and can spend hours at a time staring up at the sky counting stars or watching clouds. Nature amazes him, and he is on occasion mistaken for a simpleton given his constant obsession with observing Mother Nature's secrets.
Perhaps he pursues hers so intensely because he has so many of his own...
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: He's lifemated to Cihiru's Astariel (next post below~!) and is a wanderer at heart. Often found gazing at clouds, his favorite place to meditate is a stand of ginkgo trees.

Describe the pet's personality: Seresai's is a spirit that can never be broken.... and trust me, many have tried. She's a born leader with a fierce will to survive, and she positively thrives on adversity. There is little in this world that can catch this mare unprepared, but what can usually elicits explosive results. She's got a temper beneath the thin veneer of patience, and she's not afraid to speak the truth when the truth needs telling.
She also holds a particular disdain for stallions of greater height who try to use their mass to bully others. Likewise, Seres (having been trained since she was a wee little filly in the art of combat by Blais) never fails to take on such stallions. She knows she's fast, agile, and hard to catch... and she's made sure that what she lacks in physical strength is made up for in rapid-fire hits to vulnerable areas. Her tutelage under the unicorn stallion, Toujours, has also further honed her tactical skills... along with bringing her no ends of trouble.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: She's one of the leaders in a large herd of soquili called the Tiabi, which is itself a collection of smaller herds and family bands who have chosen to 'run under one banner' while maintaining their own autonomy. She is herself a Protector to the Alpha position held by a blind Elder named Flame, a role she was appointed to by the rest of the herd after it was vacated by her mentor Blais. She takes her role quite seriously, and finds it hard to smile these days after the terrible skinwalker attacks that left one of the oldest (and most cherished) of the band's members dead. Intellectually, she knows it wasn't her fault that Tai died, but if she hadn't selfishly gone after her brother (when he so clearly didn't want to be found) she believes she may have been able to draw Seethe's attention back to her and spared Tai's life.

Describe the pet's personality: One nasty sonofagun. Seethe is a wily old wolf who prefers to hunt down the young, the infirm, and the weak. He's something close to the perfect predator, having honed his hunting instincts down to a fine art, and is rarely caught out in the open for any reason. He's a survivor first, and is well known for the twisted way he manipulates his prey from afar, sparing himself potential injury.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: He hates unicorns, hates hates hates unicorns. That said, he had a bad scuffle with one ( a uni named Toujours) and to get back at him, he's been tracking TJ's student Seresai (above) while she tracks down her missing brother Tiarnan (also above.) Further plots have him abandoning his pursuit of Seresai after she managed to wound him (along with some friends she's gathered on her travels) and has him returning to the herdlands she hailed from. There, he selects his next victim, joins forces with a few other skinwalkers, and carries out his plan to completely terrorize the family group TJ is a part of.

Describe the pet's personality: Being a bit of willing social outcast from a young age, Flame's overall take on life is fairly open ended. He is not quick to judge a situation based on what he hears, choosing instead to observe for himself and draw his own conclusions quietly. Not a traditional recluse, Flame does crave social interaction, though he does not have any issue with spending long periods of time on his own when his thoughts or his dream sequences become particularly vexing. He's a staunch family man, and has developed quite the brood. Even with his blindness, he continues to teach the next generation, imparting on them the duties and responsibilities they have to themselves, their families, and to the Kawani natives who have worked so hard to protect the Soquili.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: A venerable old Elder, Flame is most often seen in the shade of an equally old tree with an assortment of young things (soquili, human, and wildlife alike) gathered around him while he hums a lullaby or tells a story. He's as blind as a bat, so feel free to make his eyes look a bit murky.

He's learning to overcome it, slowly, but he'll never be able to forgive Shyam for murdering his birth mother. Kaiya and his mate, Soqua, will always have a place in his heart despite it, though.

Describe the pet's personality: The twins are near inseparable, but they have their own distinct personalities. Disenchanted - the stallion - is strong-minded and intense. He's quick to be irritated, but also quick to be happy. He gets very easily attached, and once he falls for someone or gets interested in someone, it's very difficult for him to stop. Disenchanted is very adventurous and loves to go out exploring, and he's a cuddler. Oh man, is he ever. He loves to be all up in your space.

She's very anxious, easily jumpy and nervous. Describe the pet's personality:
Sonja is a fiery and fun loving mare with a deep desire to prove herself. In her dealings with others she is kind and light-hearted, if not a little mischievous. She's sassy and isn't scared to make her options known. Sonja also suffers from a case of insatiable curiosity...actually, she doesn't suffer from it as much as those around her, such as Aydan. Aydan is Sonja's self appointed guardian (a full time job) and does everything he can to keep the mare out of harms way (and usually fails). For his efforts, Sonja usually teases him, telling him he's too stiff and he needs to pull the stick out. Despite the ribbing, she adores the stallion and sees him as a brother...her big, nagging, needs to get a girl so he'll stop hovering over her brother.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: Sonja's bright eyed and despite the tough-girl act she puts on, quite inexperienced. She knows there's probably evil out there, but it's so far away from her and even when it gets a little too close, taking it on is just another challenge for her. It's her unnatural luck that's kept her from harm so far.

Αελλα (or Aella) is a little...unstable. Most days she walks the dark path with a light, elegant step. She enjoys causing chaos but thinks it beneath her to dirty her own hooves by bringing it about directly. Instead she prefers the roll of the shadow, the puppet-master pulling strings to bring about as much destruction and dismay as she can. Why? Because it's fun, of course! Other times her more volatile nature, that of the wild storms that shake the plains, takes over. In these moments she does not hesitate to to strike out and obliterate anything unfortunate enough to cross her path.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: I see Αελλα as a classy kind of lady - she likes the good things in life and spends a lot of time sprawled out, delicately nibbling on a bloody morsel as she plots her next step. Causing chaos isn't just a job for her, it's almost like an art, and she devotes herself fully to it.

Aydan is calm and steadfast, always patient and kind - which makes him the perfect match for his dear friend, Sonja. In fact, he spends most of his time chasing after the mare trying to keep her out of trouble (a full time job). He has a subtle, dry sense of humor that he uses to keep the peace or to make a point. He also has a strong protective instinct towards his friends and even those he doesn’t know.

Don’t let her small size fool you, Apple Blossom has the biggest heart of any pony you could ever know. She goes through the world looking for good in all that she meets. So far she’s never known anything else so her bright-eyed enthusiasm is genuine and shown without reserve. She’s a doting mother who misses her babies that are all grown up and hopes to have more little ones soon. In the meantime she’ll mother any baby that comes her way no matter how many legs they have or how big they are.

Describe the pet's personality: Loki has a bit of a adventurous streak and inner voice that urges her on to the next place and the next meeting. Loki has the type of personality that likes playing trick and is always getting into mischief. Some times she pushes the line a little to much and can end up hurting others or herself. Most of the time her games end up in good humor. She also has a knack for guessing events that will come into being, her hunches tend to be spot on.

Describe the pet's personality: Zaria is adventurous and fun loving. She hates to stay in one place and loves to travel with her clingy familiar Ziggy. One of Zaria biggest character flaws is her extreme flirt behavior. She loves stallions and stallions tend to love her or they would love her if Ziggy wasn't around. Describe the pet's personality: Kalila is a sweet and quiet individual. She is faithful and loyal to those she befriends, and can have a quirky and eccentric sense of humor. Her life has been quiet and calm, though she has always had a bit of a wild imagination and tends to be a bit of a dreamer.
Currently, she's haunting the Angeni of Time and pretending to be a ghost, due to his strange belief that she's truly dead. While Kalila is vehement in arguing with the angeni, doing all she can to prove she's a living, breathing, individual, it hasn't yet worked. So, she has taken it upon herself to pretend to be a ghost, and harass the hell out of the black angeni, Cyn Generis.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: She's currently seeking out the Angeni of Death with Cyn, in hopes of proving the old man wrong. Cyn and Kalila do have a future and will someday wind up together. This hasn't happened yet ICly but . . . it is in the work.

Describe the pet's personality: Nocturne is your typical anti-hero. While he has the appearance of something fierce, in reality he is even-tempered and quiet. He's always had a bit of a reserved temper, though the kindness and good nature in his heart is readily apparent to those he meets. Nocturne doesn't actively seek out those in need, though he would never turn someone away. Evil is evil, and while he understands there are some kalona who have turned over a new leaf, he was raised to have absolutely no tolerance for the wicked. Describe the pet's personality: Hadrian is a typical prince. He grew up in a family where he truly believes his father to be of royal blood, and his mother is truly a queen. He grew up by the seashore and, though he often travels, will always return to the beaches of the sea. As a prince of the sea, Hadrian has vowed his life to defend his home and family, as well as protect those who are in need. He very well might be a living, breathing cliche, but he has a good heart and means well.
Most recently, the stallion took to exploring the world. It was within these travels that he met a foalhood acquaintance from years past. On his hunt for his friend, Miki, he stumbled instead upon her sister. He was struck by her beauty and grace, but being a gentleman, didn't want to seem too forward. He was a gentleman, after all. Thankfully though, it seemed as if they were a match made in heaven, and the spirits blessed him with her company.
Doing the right thing, he courted Zara and finally found words to express his devotion. They have only recently lifemated, but where Zara goes, Hadrian will not be far behind, as a protective and watchful guardian, lover and friend.

They are mushy with one another, he the gallant knight and prince, and Zara the graceful lady. Describe the pet's personality: Zara was raised with a gypsy for a mother, and a extremely prejudiced father. According to her father, the only worthy breed out there was that of pure unicorns. Even unicorns with maned tailed were considered inferior and were never allowed to interract long with his three daughters.
Unfortunately for Zara, she didn't feel the same way. The few foals she met and befriended never were allowed to last long in her life before her father's gruff and overprotective nature drove them away. This left her growing up lonely with only her sisters for companions. While one of her sisters had a great knack for story telling, and the other a beautiful voice, Zara was blessed as a dancer with natural grace.
As she aged, she would dance and dream of travel and meeting her own prince charming. Unfortunately for the mare, dreaming was easier said than done, and she struggled finding and keeping friends much less finding any sort of romance. Her life has been a touch lonely, especially with her sisters leaving.
Only recently, as fate would have it, she finally met her prince charming! Hadrian had been a foal hood friend of her sisters, but after so many years, he wasn't quite so awkward or gangly. He had grown in to a handsome prince, and quite frankly, she found herself smitten with him. After the days they spent together turned in to weeks, and then months, Zara couldn't help but fall for his charm and polite nature.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?: Zara loves to dance and is a bit of a wanderer. She is a lady though, and can be a little uppity from time to times. She has a mushy relationship with Hadrian, and adores him like none other. He is her prince, and she couldn't be happier as she travels with him.

Describe the pet's personality: Azimene is a gentle but stubborn soul. She is the only daughter, and must compete with six over protective brothers. While this might have already been a difficult life to live, Azimene was born a very sickly individual. For reasons unknown, she has a compromised immune system and often finds herself struggling to breath, coughing up phlegm or blood, and occasionally bleeding from her eyes, ears, nose and mouth. With assistance form her uncle, who is a superb unicorn healer, she is able to live a fairly normal lifestyle but needs to be aware of what she can and can't do.
Unfortunately for Azimene, she feels like a princess locked in a tower. Her father is incredibly protective and often discourages (or flat out refuses to allow) her to roam further down the mountains or in the plains. Azimene has no real friends, and often has to use her own imagination to make up for her lack of social life.
Despite her weak nature, she is stubborn and vows to get away and live life her own way, despite the health risks involved. She loves her family dearly, but dreams of a day she is well enough to explore uninhibited by disease or her family.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?:She's a very optimistic and good natured soquili. She loves to talk and, like her mother, often sees the brighter side of life! Azimene is playful, good humored, and can be very affectionate when around those she cares about.

Describe the pet's personality: Strong and smart, Darusha is never at a lost for things to say. She may not be the most social of beings, but she will not be outdone. She is proud and stubborn, knowing what she wants in her life and who can give it to her. She is Kachina's personal mare, and proud to be such, she willing to protect her mistress to a fault.
What other info would you like to share about the pet to help the artist?:
Darusha was the last foal born to a prized mare and stallion owned by Kachina's husband. The sire a strong and treasured stallion that was used on many a battle for the warrior brave, the mother a beautiful and delicate creature. Darusha was given as a wedding gift to Kachina, by her future husband, and it was love at first sight.
Kachina would raise the foal from birth, caring for her when her other could not, and eventually training her for riding. Many times would the Indian maiden take Darusha out for a midnight run along the water's edge, only to find the hours later sitting near the water, watching the sun rise. it was a truly wonderful time for the young filly.
After the murder of her mistress' mate, Darusha was the one possession that she was allowed to bring along with her. Banished now to the dark, wet swamps, Darusha shares her mistress' dislike for those that wronged her.
