~Shirokidan High School Club Facilities~

A wealthy school because of its location within the resort town of Iwadate, Shirokidan has some of the finest club facilities in Northern Japan. Its baseball field has a capacity well over two-thousand (impressive for a high school field), and its beach volleyball facility is the nicest on the East Coast. Even its soccer field, home to one of Japan's least successful soccer clubs, is nicer than most...and the indoor facilities for basketball, kendo, and karate are top-shelf. Because of the successes of the athletic clubs, the culture clubs receive a bit of a trickle-down, but aren't quite as nice as they could be with all the money rolling in. The theater/auditorium is kept in excellent shape, but mostly the culture clubs are given extra rooms in the classroom-facility and extra space in the club facility to learn their trade.

Despite wanting to give equal funds and recognition to all clubs, and the administration does make an honest effort, in order to continue making money and keep their school running well they are forced to show such preferential treatment to the sports clubs. As famous and entertaining as they are to the town and the tourists in particular (many of whom make a point of stopping down at the beach to watch a Beach Volleyball game), few people ever complain about the distribution of funds...except the clubs missing out, of course.

::Ryohei Makihara::

A large almost empty gym was what Ryohei could almost call his second home. Well stocked facilities, weight benches, heavy bags, professional rings and mats. It was probably surprising that all of this was afforded to a school whose mascot was the guppies. Yet, here it was, the head of the boxing clubs fortress of solitude... completely empty save for one person hard at work. All that could be heard in the loud school sanctioned gym, was heavy impacts, and the rapid and forced rattling of chains. To anyone who didn't know any better, it would almost sound like someone was being flailed with a large chain, but of course anyone who attended the school could easily recognize it as the "King" training on the heavy bag. That is exactly what he was doing this morning, having gotten permission to leave his classroom right when he got in, (it was easy for a sports enthusiast to convince a coach to let him go train after all... even if it did end up in another shot at trying to teach him baseball). And here he was, pounding at the bag, 'boxing' with it in his mind. "Quick jab, feint back, retaliate, hook, hook, hook!" He said under his breath, a quick series of 'WHUMP' sounds heard as his lightly covered fist connected with the hanging bag stuffed with cushioning and weighted fiber. "Block, juke right, slide to the side and full ingram!" He exclaimed excitedly throwing a quick burst of three powerful bunches, a jab, a cross, and finally a full reverse punch as he executed his signature move, the bag swinging wildly up and into the air from the impact. He quickly braced himself, holding out his arms as he waited for the bag to return, and finally wrapping his arms around it as the heavy training bag fell down into his brace, sliding him back but, ending its momentum. He sighed, smiling as he leaned over, grabbing a squeeze bottle and taking a large gulp of water even as the intercom clicked on, and a strange new sound was heard over it. One of his hands ran up, sliding through short, damp, white hair as he listened intently. "Mashi-ba punk radio huh... I kinda like that sound." He thinks aloud, nodding his head... he would really have to meet whoever did this, though this thought was postponed when he heard the loud crash and the voice of their faculty head barging in on it before the intercom clicked off. Well... that was definitely interesting. He would have to make sure he found whoever did that and give them a bit of praise, that was ballsy and entertaining. He thought about this as he say against a weight bench, bringing the squeeze bottle up to his mouth once more and taking one last long gulp.

Mizu Sanaka

School... Mizu had a multitude of opinions on a multitude of subjects, ranging from 'I don't really care' to 'Cool,' but rarely ever did she flat out dislike something. This held true for people, activities, food, colors, everything. But one thing that she would always detest... One thing that her impatient little brain just could not handle... School. Much to the chagrin of her father, the girl only showed up to class around half of the time, and even then was not a particularly good student. Using your brain and doing the homework assigned and being called Freaky Fish Girl (though she couldn't say she minded it that much) just didn't sound appealing when there was sleeping to do, work to avoid, food to eat. Really, anything that wasn't related to her classes (and especially anything that wasn't related to, ugh, math) was fine. As a result, it wasn't strange to find her skipping class. It just so happened that today she had been feeling a little more daring and had decided to play hooky... on school grounds. Odds of getting caught? Fair. Odds of sticking around after that point to receive retribution? Slim. It was with this indifference to consequence and complete lack of common sense that the girl found herself taking a leisurely stroll through the various clubrooms, stopping only occasionally to glance around and make sure no teachers or nark-prone students were lurking about. They prooobbabbly weren't, since people didn't normally come around here until school had dismissed (besides, of course, Ryohei, who she could plainly hear beating up a poor punching bag in the gym), but you could never be certain... Unless you were Mizu, who after three minutes decided that she didn't care for caution at all, and subsequently threw it out the window. It took too much energy to soften your breathing and sneak about when you could be making rhythms with your footsteps mimicking your favorite song. That was much more fun.

Interrupting her dance was the sound of the intercom. Normally the voice of the old lady who gave announcements wouldn't deter Mizu one bit, but... That wasn't the old lady talking. It wasn't a lady at all. No, it was a student! One who's voice she absolutely did not recognize. If it wasn't a staff member... Then who was it? Her curiosity had officially been peaked, but not quite enough to get her to go to class... Maybe she'd see him during lunch, the only period of the day she would ever even consider going to, besides PE. White Palace burgers were famous for a reason. If so, Mizu Sanaka was certainly looking forward to it. 'Finally, some excitement around here...'

~A few hours later~

Okay, even she knew when to admit to a bad idea. Although hanging out by herself at the clubs wasn't too bad for the first hour or so, it got dull really quickly. There were only so many silly noises and threatening poses one could make to themselves after all, and none of that was fun without an audience anyways... So with this in mind, Mizu finally decided to, instead of mope in her boredom, pay a visit to the schools boxing champ, Ryohei, AKA "The King." He was one of the nicer students at the school, and never even scrunched his nose up in disgust when she smelled like that morning's catch! Though... she would probably scrunch her nose up too, fish was disgusting. Oh well. So without further thought, she slammed open the doors to the gym with her foot, trying to be as loud and imposing as possible.
"Oi! Ryohei!" The way she said his name sounded almost like a threat one would growl under their breath.... The bell rang. Any and all hints of 'hostility' faded. "..... Time for lunch." Slight surprise resonated through her voice. Lunchtime already? Maan, she didn't even get to her favorite part of hooky, disrupting other people's hooky. It can't be helped I suppose. When you're good at wasting time, you're good at wasting time. "I figured you'd be so absorbed with training you wouldn't even notice. C'mon!" Nice save. He didn't have to know that she almost didn't notice either. A lazy arm beckoning him to follow her out of the gym to the cafeteria suddenly became a lot more frantic in its flailing after a moment or so of nothing from the boy. "If you don't hurry there won't be any burgers left! Come on." If there was one thing the girl was serious about.... it was food.

Tyria

A few stray shouts of chaos could be heard from a location in the main building of the school, and Tyria simply blinked. No doubt the people involved would be severely disciplined by the administration for whatever bout of havoc was currently going on. Not that this was very important to the girl at all when she saw somebody else show up, and her eyes fixated on something else with a degree of precision that you could have aligned the pyramids with. Specifically, something that the new transfer student was carrying. "From ancient times, people have formed together and created groups to achieve by numbers what is difficult to do alone. They also created forms of barter, creating the concept of money in order to exchange the value of their labor in a more convenient manner, simultaneously increasing the number of people they could do business with. However, despite the prevalence of money in modern society, there are also times when direct negotiation will permit two parties to acquire items of interest to each other." In other words, she apparently wanted to know if Mashiba was going to pay her (with Fried Bread) for a tour of the school complete with the perspective of a student, and not the bland sort of map-guide that a staff member might present. Of course, what sort of tour would a girl who thought about bread all day actually provide? Well, it'd probably be better than 'Melon Pan tastes best under that tree' and 'Yakisoba Bread on the rooftop in spring is delicious'. Probably. It was a new school; who really knew how any of these people might react to Mashiba's ways?

~Haruto Mashiba, Mysterious Transfer Student~
(Location: Shirokidan High School Club Wing, Hallways)

User ImageEscaping that mess without incident had been lucky enough, but it was indeed a misfortune that the boy who had been hit by his muffin jumped to the conclusion that it was 'Mashi-Ba' who had started the food fight. Great way to increase his already-growing reputation amongst his new peers, but also a great way to increase his negative notoriety amongst the teachers as well. If the principal, for one, were to think that he were responsible for the food fight breaking out in the cafeteria right now, he would find himself in a fair bit of trouble too early in the school year for his liking. In retrospect, he probably shouldn't have caused such a commotion...but he had the occasional urge to do something fun, something a little out of the ordinary, and what was happening back there with Jell-O and bread and fruit flying everywhere across the room was certainly entertaining. He'd just have to keep his head down a little lower for a while, he thought, and it was about that time that he nearly walked right into a girl who didn't seem to be doing anything in particular. He simply caught sight of her there in the hall, her eyes boring into his hands with a passion that burned slightly-less-hot than the heat of the sun, and glancing down at the packet of bread which he had picked up as an afterthought in the cafeteria, he connected the dots and positively identified her as the bread-loving girl from class earlier in the morning. ...Odd way of talking, he noticed instantly. Almost like she were some sort of a historian...or a robot...yet while both were interesting and the second was particularly cool, it was just as likely that the girl herself was somewhat...unusual. Not that Haruto particularly minded a little weirdness. Considering what she seemed to be offering (that promised tour in exchange for the bread he had picked up in the cafeteria), he swiftly debated the potential deal and came to a decision.

Flipping the bread up with his left hand (the burgers still pinned within the fingers of his left), he turned his wrist over in an extension, an offering to the girl that would most likely please her. He was giving her the bread that she wanted fairly easily, his expression similarly amused as it had been earlier as he examined her reaction to things.

"Does your business take rain checks?" the Junior asked casually, intending to forfeit the bread whether she was willing to put off the tour for a while or not. Honestly, he figured he would rather check things out around here on his own time, after school, than trying to rush it all in during the shorter lunch period break. Of course, there was that challenge from Silver guy after school at the baseball field to contend with, but win or lose, he didn't imagine that would take all that long to get out of the way. He didn't intend for it to, at least. So yeah, there was that, but his evening was much more free. For now, he had been hoping to head out towards the end of the baseball field where the stadium bleachers overlooked the Beach Volleyball Court. After all, this school was famous for its talented beach volleyball team, right? It would just be wrong for him to not take a chance to catch them in action...especially after the way that they had crushed his former school's team in competition during his Freshman year. He could still remember the lament of the Oshu City girls after the Guppies handed them a near shut-out victory...the whining had gone on for days and landed him at least one offer for a date as a consolation to a depressed player. He hadn't declined her, but it hadn't been fun. Dates were probably more fun after a victory, he imagined...but well, that was neither here nor there. Issue at hand currently was the girl in front of him, and the fried bread he was more than willing to hand over. He probably wouldn't be able to finish it after the burgers anyway, so letting someone who would enjoy it more have it was only fair. "Enjoy..." the transfer student nodded casually as he released the bread, before stepping out to the side and starting down the hall towards the far exit closest to the baseball field...adding to no one in particular (or maybe it was just a really vague offer to the girl if she felt like he was trying to ditch her...totally not his intention, but he did have somewhere he wanted to be whether she stayed or went), "I remember seeing the baseball field...this way?"

Pausing meaningfully at an intersection in the hall, he looked thoughtful as he glanced up at a plaque on the wall...All-Japan National Team award to some former Baseball star from a few years back, he could see the picture and the stats on it, but he couldn't say that he had heard of the kid...well, man...he was certainly much older than Haruto by now. Humming under his breath, it was with that thought that he slid began unwrapping the first of his White Palace Burgers and started down the left corridor he was sure would drop him off closer to the baseball field than the others. ...Would the beach volleyball girls change into their swimsuits/uniforms to practice just for lunchtime? He wondered...

Tyria

Before Mashiba had even finished holding the item up, the girl had snatched it from his hands, radiating an aura something like a cross between flowers and triumph. Well, whatever she thought about anything, it was apparent that Mashiba had managed to get on Tyria's good side. She was easy to bribe, apparently, if you gave her the kind of food she really wanted. The girl stuffed the bread into her bag instead of opening it right away, however, and gave Mashiba a thumbs-up. The entire time, despite the happy aura, her expression hadn't so much as flickered. "A principle of negotiation is the ability to compromise. All you need to know right away is to remember to bring a camera if you want to try and check out the Beach Volleyball practice. Rumor says the team practices naked, and the boys in this school have made a fund with a ten thousand yen reward for anybody who gets photographic evidence one way or the other." Which brought up another question... how did she know about something that the boys of the school would probably try to keep a secret from girls who might not be happy about that kind of thing? Maybe she was just considered trustworthy... and, at some point, they'd tried to get her to take such images. It was unlikely that the teachers had any idea about this little fund, though, which suggested it was more of a secret to the student body (particularly the guys) than anything else. "I am afraid that if you attempt this challenge and are caught, I will be required to label you as a pervert and be extremely suspicious of you in future negotiations. However, it is only fair to let you know that if you intend to attempt peeping, some other people have an interest in the results." Her eyes seemed to sparkle a bit. Maybe she was amused by the whole thing? At the very least, it seemed that she was trying to give Mashiba a fair shot at a prize if he was going to be one of the many, many boys who wanted to watch the Beach Volleyball team practice... Huh. Well, an odd girl, but she seemed friendly enough.

Excal Eiri, The b*****d Son of Beethoven

It was good to be able to keep his old ways up till this point of life, fooling his teacher was only the beginning of Excal’s trickery, but for now he would be taking a little breather. He thought he was going to caught by just walking around the hallway like it was nothing, or even worse having the Gym Teacher finding that he had be played once again, but luck seem to be on his side as the bell for lunch began to rang. He made a toothy grin at how fortunate he was as he made his way to the Club Facilities, more specifically the Music Club. He stood in front of the door leading into the place where the trombones going through their low b-flats, Trumpets bring a style of smooth and jazzy tunes with each notes being played, but nothing couldn’t really compare to the piano one of the most popular instrument every played. The keys making a resonance sound would melt the soul itself; the thought of playing such a thing caused his hand to shake with heightened anticipation. He held his hand trying to resist his temptation to go in, cold beads of sweat traced down his forehead as his throat dried up. Being here was a bad idea, he was supposed to be suppressing this urge to let loose, already been a week at the very least. His mind was trying to tell him that he could last a little longer, that he swore he wouldn’t and should follow his oath, but Excal decided to take the chance, he looked around to see if anyone was near him, if there was a slight hint of movement Excal would disappear in a flash. There was no sign of people walking in even though this was lunch time, this was a good sign, and now all he had to do was open the door. He was hesitant at first, but with a little push his trembling hand took a hold of the knob, his cheeks were burning up a faint reddish color feeling both embarrassed and shameful of what he was about to do. With turn of the knob Excal slowly open the door not wanting to make a sound, he took a peek to see if anyone was there. No one, just the stands holding the musical notes for members, a heated sigh escaped the Fox’s breath. Quietly, he moved into the room and shut the door, locking it so that no one else could get in. Immediately he pace in circles his heart was throbbing quickly at the situation he put himself in, ”Dammit…Dammit…Dammit…Dammit!” he cried out in a panic, he held his head with widen eyes. Anxiety was rushing through him as it looked like he was going to be caught, usually he wouldn’t mind being caught if it was just some sort of prank, but this was different; if he were to be found in here his life would be over; this was not being overly dramatic it would really be over! Looking around his eyes caught something that made all of his nerves disappear; over by the corner there was everlasting beauty in the form of a piano. It was just standing there with the rays from the sun shining down on it, it was as if the instrument was calling out to Excal wanting him to play.

Excal cleared his throat, cheeks still red as he was fixated upon the majestic creation. “No..can’t…it’s not..” it wasn’t right, there was no manly aspect in playing the piano, he should back going back to class and getting prepared for the 10km jog that the Gym teacher was gonna have him do, twice. However, as much as he was denying himself, Excal stared to move closer towards the instrument. Soon he found himself setting in front of the piano. His fingers were pressed gently on the keys, his heart began to skip a beat. A finger praced down on a c not at the far end making a high pitch sound that rang through his ears, his frightened eyes settled down showing to be more relaxed. Again he pressed down on the high note sending another resonate noise through his ears, he took in a breath and exhale letting go of his worldly troubles. He couldn’t resist any longer, right now he could release the shackles that was binding his true self, feeling the urges taking over and allowing him to flow he began to play and his soul felt free once more..

~Haruto Mashiba, Mysterious Transfer Student~
(Location: Shirokidan Baseball Field, Right Field Bleachers - Top Row, Overlooking the Beach Volleyball Court)

User ImageWeird girl? Yeah, she was kind of weird. There were no two ways about it when you tried to classify a girl who absolutely radiated ultraviolet happy waves when you handed her a simple packet of fried bread...you just had to slip her into the 'Weird' category alongside dark fingernail paint/bright pink frilly dress girl and 'I actually listen to Justin Bieber for the music' girl. No point trying to reason something like that. Fortunately, unlike those two aforementioned classifications, the Bread-Loving girl was still someone he had absolutely no qualms about associating with, who seemed fairly logical in some manner, and of course, that he was 99% certain did not have some form of brain damage. Having said that, he did find her claim about he rumored 'naked practices' to be relatively unbelievable. That was to say, he did not believe it in the slightest. Was she just trying to warn him away from going to watch them, suspecting that he was the pervert she claimed she did not want to classify him as? Or maybe she was just the type who would perpetuate any rumor, whatever she heard, for logical or illogical reasons such as wanting to see how people reacted or simply, to see if anyone was dumb enough to believe them? Whatever the case, Haruto knew a claim like that was certain to be untrue, and while he was still likely to get in trouble if he got caught watching the girls, that's why he wasn't going directly to the volleyball court to begin with now, wasn't it?

"Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep my eyes open," the Junior answered in a noncommittal fashion, before continuing on down the hall. He hadn't asked for the girl's name yet, figuring that she would likely tell him whenever she was ready. As for his own name, well? He had already introduced himself in front of the entire class earlier, and if she hadn't paid any attention then, he wasn't really sure it would sink in too deep now. Then again, he was pretty sure he had just scored points of some sort with her for that bread...easy come, easy go. Finally, he came to the double doors at the end of the hall and pushed them open, and when he did he saw a short blacktop walk up towards the open gate of the upper-class stadium that the Guppies used every spring, summer, and fall for their long baseball schedule. He had to admit that he did enjoy baseball to some degree, but he had never tried out for the club back in Oshu City no matter how persistent the upperclassmen were in trying to draw in new blood. Their ace back then, a Junior whose name hadn't been nearly as memorable as the funky pitching motion that he used to befuddle hitters, had been a fairly abrasive person...associating with him at all made Haruto uneasy, so he simply steered clear of the baseball club so long as he was in it. Now, however, he caught himself looking out across that lovely patch of grass and dirt with a half-smile, wondering just what the Silver kid from earlier was going to challenge him to do. He had some skill when he was small, but he hadn't played seriously in a little while...if it was some skills test, head-to-head, he would almost certainly lose it, he thought. Didn't mean he wouldn't face it head-on, though...it was just more interesting like that. His lips curled as he looked away from the field and slipped through the gate, weaving his way over towards the right-field stands overlooking the beach down below and began climbing the stairs, looking for a seat at the top row that didn't have too much dew on it. Once he had found one with a perfect view, he turned and laced his arm over the back railing, looking not down towards the baseball field...but towards the beach volleyball court instead.

After all, it wasn't baseball that had him out and about right now. He wanted to see what those girls in the club could do...and if they were in swimsuits, that was a fortuitous coincidence. His calm, thin eyes scanned until he located what was certainly the court...the blue walls with advertisements written all over them and the Guppy logo in some locations hint enough that he had found the right place. And sure enough, one glance revealed that the girls down there were working hard as ever...the first shot he saw rocketing into the sand so hard that he couldn't help but notice just how much better at that sport they were than he would ever be. ...Good thing he wouldn't be challenging any of them any time soon, right? He didn't make it obvious that he was watching them, but he didn't exactly hide it, either. Sitting high over the baseball field and the beach even further below that, he simply took in the sights of this almost fantasy-like school's incredible club facilities...and enjoyed the view.

Kazuma Tenkyuu
"Kazu"

User Image
As Kazuma made his way to the baseball field, he passed a few familiar faces, one being the new guy who, in one day, became one of the most popular kids in school and he seemed to be talking to that slightly odd girl who had a thing for toast..or something. Yamamoto really didn't speak with anybody unless they spoke to him or were members of one of the clubs he was in (Kendo,Baseball) It wasn't that Kazu thought he was too good for them, it was just that he didn't really find a reason to speak, it was just those times when you don't have anything interesting to say during a conversation so you just don't say anything at all. But if someone came to Kazu or Kazu just happened to be walking by as a conversation was going on about baseball or the kendo club, Kazuma would be one of the most talkative people there.

As he walked, Kazu chugged his disgusting lunch straight from the box and swallowed the goop with a bit of a shiver going through his body afterwords as he tossed the box into the garbage can and continued to the field. The after-taste to the meal was worse than the original smell as it plagued the back of Kazuma's throat, but he wouldn't complain out loud, his mother meant her best and that's all he could ask from her since she did so much to raise him. Anyway, as Kazu reached the baseball field, he then took his school jacket off and draped it over a bench and took his bat out form his baseball bag. He placed his cap back on, in a backwards fashion yet again and made his way out to the field where he saw one of the back-up pitchers warming up. He was good, but there was a reason that he was only one of the back ups. Yamato Imagawa..he was the reason, Kazu was one of the ones who witnessed this guy's pitching first hand. The fast balls were speedy and powerful, but yet so beautifully thrown that it was almost a shame to want to hit it. But he wasn't here to practice with so Kazu would merely just go up to the plate that the back up was warming up at. Kazu didn't have to speak, it was almost like a secret code between those on the team as Kazu merely tapped the place twice with his bat before holding it up to the right with his left shoulder facing the pitcher. The back-up hesitated a bit but then stepped up to the plate, gulping a little bit. Kazu was well known for never getting a strike out during their last season, but then again, he had never really gone up against pitchers form his own team, usually just using the pitching machine, so the back-up had a small glint of faith that he would be able to at least get one strike.

The back-up got ready and quickly whipped the ball at Kazu. It was then that he realized his mistake as each ball he threw at Kazu, no matter what type, fast ball, curve ball, screw ball, etc. Kazu knocked each one to the exact spot which he said just before the pitcher would even throw it. "Right Field" the ball was throw and hit to the far right field. "Left Field" The ball was hit to far left field. "Second Base" The ball was hit to second base. "Out the park.." It was then that the ball was thrown and Kazu's advanced senses seemed to slow it down, he could practically see the individual stitching in the ball as his hazel eyes watched it carefully. Then he quickly and powerfully swung the bat and hit the ball in a forward, yet upwards motion, at the exact spot that he always aims for in a home run hit. The ball was then sent flying, disappearing into the sky and most likely never to be seen again. Kazu just smiled as he tapped the bottom of his shoes with he bat twice before getting back in his stance, ready for another volley of throws.

"Alright girls! ~ Let's do this!" a chirpy voice boomed around the Volleyball court, a girl in a two piece swimsuit with the colors of the school [who would want sand all over their uniform?] making her way around the net, taking her position at the back of the court. A smirk curled at the corner of her lips as she played with the volleyball in her hands, sky blue eyes shifting towards her partner in this short friendly game. Well, lunch time wasn't all that long, and they wouldn't waste their time in the cafeteria while such a war took place (why of course, rumors flew way too fast), so why not at least practice some? Not that all the team was necessary...so just another girl to be on her team and other two as the other team would do. Though, she had to admit these rumors distract…and amused her. First was the peculiar morning announcement (which had brightened her day...I mean, she would rather listen to this guy than listening to Touya sensei's and his boring stories) and then this food war. Well, this mysterious new guy was wasting no time; that was for sure. It'd be interesting to meet with him...to get to know the trouble maker destroying the school and winning some enemies in his first day.

But! That would have to wait. A hand brushed the lock of hair away from her face and back her ear as she took her place and pose as the server. "Okay, Amiii chan! Let's do our best, okay?" The score was fairly even for the time, but well…she had said before this was just a friendly match…she didn’t want to get back to class all sweaty and sticky. Ugh, no. that wouldn’t do. Especially if she wanted to meet this new transfer student everyone was talking about. Noelle nodded to her teammate, picking up the ball from the sand, twirling it between her hands as she calculated her next move. The girly, sweet air around her dissolved instantly as her gaze locked on the other team though, her fingers griping the sphere tightly, her feet digging in the white sand as she prepared for her serve. The two girls at the other side of the net were in position, the two also preparing for whatever attack the pinkette had under her sleeve. She wasn’t known for her pretty bikini or curves after all. The ball flew up in the air...

"I will DESTROY you!"

Fists hit the ball with great force, the sphere rocketing over the net and the other side of the court; it was well received by the small brunette though, a good team move returning it to their side of the net. Her teammate jumped, stopping the ball from touching the sand, Noelle making her sprint as well in hopes of spiking and ending this round…but, miscalculating, her palm slapped the ball in a weird angle, it ricocheting over the wall and up to the face of the unfortunate spy at the bleachers of the baseball field. “Shoot!” …Darn was she distracted today. She rubbed her hands together to brush away the stinging feeling left by the force against the ball, before eyes shifted to where the sphere had disappeared to. And it was only then that she noticed a figure she hadn’t seen before. “Heeeeey! Are you alright?” she shouted before returning to the other three girls after receiving no answer. “Um…I’m going to go check on him, okay?”

::Come on~ Where's the fun in that?::

As the bread loving girl, and the studded ear-ring boy, Mashiba had been talking, with the latter leaning over, A small rustling would be heard behind them.
"Stud-kun! Pan-chan!" a cheery voice would be heard, as the familiar green haired boy from before would show himself.

Mashiba'd probably remember him from earlier, when he'd made his bold entrance, and his graceful escape when he was found out in the classroom. Yes, that one girl had been rather scary....But that didn't matter to him now.
"Is Pan-chan trying to get Stud-kun to do something baddd~?" the boy called, before noticing as something came their way.

No way...

Was something happening? Someone tell him it was!!!

~Haruto Mashiba, Mysterious Transfer Student~
(Location: Shirokidan Baseball Field, Right Field Bleachers - Top Row, Overlooking the Beach Volleyball Court)

User ImageAh, there were some days when it just felt like you were on top of the entire world; enjoying a few bites of a White Palace Burger (far more tasty than advertised, by the way. He could swear he was getting more charming by the bite! Charming or high...), watching the Beach Volleyball Team (who were incredible, he noticed instantly...especially the pinkette who was holding back for the sake of her teammates, he assumed), and of course, the duo of incidents he had caused today without being hauled off into Detention. How could the day get any better, you might ask? He honestly didn't know; maybe getting a chance to talk to one of the girls down there and get to know them? ...Now at this point, it needed to be noted that Haruto was not one of those uber-perverts who watched girls in bikinis with a string of drool hanging from the corner of his mouth, daydreaming about one day scoring with one of the 'hot babes' with which he would never have the courage or charm to actually speak if one were so inclined to approach him. To specify, it was best to quantify what one (anyone who might be analyzing him to this point) might see in and should understand about him. For one, it was obvious already that he had some charisma and in a day, had carved out a name for himself in this high-level school, which of course wasn't something that should be taken lightly. Second, there were few people that Haruto wouldn't or couldn't talk to...and the vast majority of those were his sister's friends, who were simply too outgoing, wild, and a bit racy for his tastes. Fact was, he liked to talk...he just didn't like to initiate conversation himself. Maybe it was a thing, or maybe he just wasn't confident he could get into a conversation until somebody tempted him into it. But he could still definitely talk to them. True fact, though, was that he had come down here to the baseball field to get a glimpse of the girls...proof enough that he was, in fact, a teenager and prone to doing things that could be a little bit unwise (if he hadn't already proven that today). He liked girls, that was no secret. He liked the fact that they were better looking than guys, that they could work harder and suffer through a lot more than most guys, and particularly when you were talking about women like those on the girls' beach volleyball team, he liked the fact that they could be so graceful and so forceful at the same time. In short, he just liked them...and on the scale of 'OMG They're so hawt!" perverted to "That is a mighty fine lass, and I think I'd like to one day court her for her lovely personality" gentlemen, he probably fell a little closer to the latter than the former...but without a doubt, he had his moments where he acted like your average teenager. Watching the girls from on-high playing down on the beach volleyball court, it was probably a little of both fueling him right now. But alas, his eyes diverted at the worst possible time. A crack came from the baseball field and landed several rows short of him in the bleachers. Seeing the ball rattle around on the stairs a few levels down, he was considering going down and grabbing it for the ambitious baseball team member when he looked back to the volleyball court...and was promptly reminded that even 'King for a Day' could be brought to his knees by a single, unfortunate event.

And yeah, a volleyball in the face at high-speeds that knocked you flat on your a** at the top level of bleachers in the baseball stadium and made your head utterly spin probably counted as unfortunate. And the day had been going so well for him, too...

"Ow..." his low, smooth voice was muted as he came to from his momentary daze, wondering for a moment just how it was that one moment he was looking over at the rail, enjoying the graceful talents of the girls of the beach volleyball team, and the next he was sprawled upside-down onto his back across the top two layers of the bleachers in the baseball field. ...He remembered something in the stands, then looking back, and reading the word 'WILSON' before an impact shook his head like a coconut tree in a hurricane. His back hurt now, so he had probably fallen fairly awkwardly...and if more than a few seconds had passed between the impact and his dazed awakening with his cobalt eyes set on the sky he wasn't aware of it. ...Somewhere in the distance he heard voices, but he wasn't in any hurry to get up and talk to them. He felt fairly comfortable here...and any attempt to recoup dignity after a fall like that was only going to make him look sillier. Best to just relax for a few moments and make it look like he did upside-down cloud-gazing in the baseball bleachers all the time. Maybe somebody would actually believe it...ooh, that one looked kind of like a cow, didn't it? Man, those burgers were fantastic...

Yamato Imagawa
::Heir to the Imagawa Clan::

Yamato arrived at the field with a burger hanging from his mouth. It was such a delicious treat that he could barely make it all the way out here without slamming back a few bites of one of the delicious morsels. The intense heat that had built up under his skin from when that glob of...whatever had hit him in the back of the head. However slamming the perpetrator in the face with an orange made him feel surprisingly better. That idiotic B-lister thought it would be a good idea to hit him with food. Well now he had a concussion and would probably be on the disabled list for at least a couple of weeks. The young ace sat down in the dugout for a minute chomping away at his burger. There were very few people in the world who could ever garner Yamato's respect. His parents were obviously on the list because his father was of the great Imagawa line and his mother was also there because she had married into the clan, Kawano sensei had made it there some time ago, and so far that was it. In truth no one else was even worth the ace's time. Yamato swallowed the last of his first burger and started in on his second. The crack of a baseball bat caught his ear standing up he looked and saw some kid wielding a baseball bat. That Kazu guy was just ripping on the back up. It wasn't going to be hard the back up pitchers were so rusty, they barely even got any play.

Yamato stepped out of the shade of the dugout and placed his hand on his forehead to shield his eyes from the sun. It was a nice day out to be sure, the breeze was light and the sun was beating down on the beach and field. Suddenly something caught his ear as he watched the new guy rock pitch after pitch from that pitiful backup pitcher. It was pretty unimpressive, even Yamato could probably hit a couple homeruns off of that pathetic back up. Then something suddenly heard coming from over towards the beach. I WILL DESTROY YOU the sound made one of Yamato's hands jerk up in a protective maneuver. Suddenly his eyes swung up towards the stands where he saw a familiar looking guy get leveled by the dynamite serve of one Noelle Everett. Yamato had felt that sting before, once when he had been up there in the stands with a pair of binoculars totally not spying on the girl's beach volleyball team when that very serve had slammed into his face and forced the binoculars so hard into his face that he had two ring bruises for a good week. Wow this Mashi-ba guy had been having a eventful day huh? In less than 6 hours he had: hijacked the school PA system, started a food fight (he had heard the commotion about Mashi-ba being the start while in the cafeteria), and now been knocked out by Noelle's serve. Noelle's serve was kind of like a right of passage for men of Shirokidan it meant they were old enough to want to spy and... well with Haruto's speed he was looking more and more like the only kid in the school who was anywhere near his level.

Grabbing a hat and glove Yamato decided this would be his chance. That Mashi-ba guy was already back on his feet. This seemed like a good enough time to see just how worthy this new guy was of being his equal. As he walked out of the dugout he bent down and grabbed a ball that had fallen by the wayside and tossed it into his glove. He was going to need a ball for his little test. He wasn't rushing or anything, Mishi-ba was up on his feet and he didn't seem to be bleeding excessively, so the heir was glad to just walk out to his prospected equal at a brisk but not too interested pace. He didn't know how his test would turn out but whether this guy was going to be his equal or just another member of the undeserving masses it would be fun to test him.

Oh God, oh God! Please let him be conscious! the girl pled as she ran towards the other side of the court, and up the bleachers of the baseball field after putting on some shorts (because running around the school in a bikini might have been too much…even for her). She brushed away some of the sand pasted to her bare legs and arms, climbing up the stairs, moving towards the last layers of the bleachers. How had the ball gotten all the way there? Why was a guy’s face in the way, anyway? Sure she had thrown one or two…or three or four…balls at guys’ faces before for spying at their practices, some of them being perverted and bold enough to carry cameras with them, but never had she done it accidently…she hadn’t even noticed the guy looking at them before that…If he had been spying at them, that was. She bit her lower lip as she turned on the last bleacher, finding said guy sprawled on the last two layers of the bleachers, looking at the clouds as if it was a hobby of his. And perhaps she would have believed it, if it wasn’t for the reddened face and the ‘WILSON’ imprinted to his cheek.

“Oh, hey! Good! You are awake! …Er…” she let out a sigh, taking a slower pace to join the dark haired boy, picking up the ball in the process. “Are you alright? You don’t see double, right? How many fingers do you see?” the pinkette continued, her hand moving in front of her in a ‘peace’ sign, before stepping back with a sheepish chuckle. Good thing that. She wouldn’t want to get scolded again for ‘violence against classmates’. But hey! It was their fault! They shouldn’t be spying at the team while- … Focus, focus. “I am veeeeeery sorry…” the girl pouted, blue eyes finally shifting away from the volleyball in her hands and up to the victim of her serve. Hmm…he didn’t look familiar. But well… she couldn’t say she knew everyone in the school. Perhaps some unfortunate Freshman? Or…“My head was elsewhere and…Say… could you forgive me? ”

It was the best time, she says. Oh yes, it is the best time for her to get things done, get things over with. If not that, the best time for a continuation. The best time to be alone and away from everyone else that wanted to piss her off just for kicks. Nina didn't understand it, could be because she usually asks for it when she gives off her all time casual insults here and there... course she was going to be getting something back but hey, whatever. Last time she'll be going to school on time. Nina rubbed her white hair lazily then plopped her hand onto her hip as she kept walking with a burger in her other hand along with a drink in her pocket. Relief.... that was what she needed. A high, a moment of just pure, relaxing... relief... She just had to make sure that no one was going to be following her or anything. Nina sighed out some then looked around, trying to avoid some eye contact with her feet taking her ina fast walking speed, focusing on one place, and one place only. So close, so very close... yes! With a slide then a quick close she slipped into the room that she wanted then went to the closet that was near by. With the ruffles, shuffles and grabbing, Nina came back with the supplies in her hand then placed them on a chair. Her head lifted, taking in the place... the different forms on flat surfaces... forests... castles... faces... houses.... all on different surfaces that were once white made by the different hands of this school. Her hand went over to the woman who sat on the silk fabric chair, her back facing the red-eyed girl, Nina tracing the line of her back then over the crimson curtains with that wonderful bumpy texture felt under the fingertips. The artist must be very proud of her work... Nina looked over to the signature for a moment, taking a mental note before she stepped back and then went over to where she was, taking herself to the other side of the art clubroom. The easel stood there in silence, in wait.. and it didn't have to wait anymore. Her hand suddenly grabbed at the fabric and threw it off of the masterpiece in hiding. Well, not finished, but you know... Nina stared at it, brushing her hand over the strokes and shape in the making.... before she smiled so warmly to the piece then stuffed the burger in her mouth and grabbed the tub of paint and started to squirt it onto the wooden surface. Alright, her continuation starts now. Her masterpiece will transform! Her wonder of the sky.. will be realized.
