Okay so this is kind of a two part topic.
1.) What do you think about stereotypes?

2.)What lesbian/gay stereotypes are true for you personally? Which ones do you think are total crap?

I'll go first, yay me biggrin

True:
- Chucks are my favorite shoes, always have been.
-I don't wear make-up unless I'm going somewhere important.
- I love flannel/plaid
-I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres and The L Word
-I adore cats.
-I was a huge tomboy when I was younger
-My hair is indeed short razz
-I'm feminist

Crap:
-I always wear a bra, and I DO shave -_-
- I was never abused as a child
- I do not hate men.
-I dont have "p***s envy"
-I dont listen to KD Lang, The Indigo Girls, or Tegan and Sara (although I do like Melissa Etheridge...)
-I don't like trucks
-I can't put things together or fix things very well
-I don't like Birkenstocks >.<

Stereotypes are just one's idea of what the supposed majority of a certain group are like. They can be good or bad or non-effectual, but I think that everyone at least partially believes in a few stereotypes.
Stereotypical:
I have an awesome fashion sense
I love Ellen, Kathy Griffin, Lady GaGa, and other public LBGT supporters
I like flowers, nature in general, and animals
^ On that note, I think puppies and kitties are adorable
I don't like sports
I have a ton of girl friends

Non-stereotypical:
Although I have fashion sense, I don't dress very fashionably
I don't have a lisp or especially high-pitched voice
I hate the color pink
I wasn't heavily influenced by homosexuality or sexuality in general as a child
I could kick a** in a fight
I personally dislike the idea of being in a poly-amorous or open relationship
I do not own a skirt, dress, or make-up

I really son't like stereotypes cuz they're just so... ugh. I am a 13 year old 75% gay bisexual male, people ususally think I look like a highschool freshman for some reason. ^//w//^

True
-I enjoyed playing with barbies when I was younger
-Sailor moon was my superhero when I was younger
-I fantasize about men
-I was more flamboyant when I was younger (skipped, pretended I was in a fashion show, etc.)
-This haunted me for years, but me and my cousin who is as old as me "pretended" to do "it" when we were five, we just danced and rubbed our junk together. -//_//-
- I like stuffed animals, bracelets and rainbows, and Lady Gaga.
-I like to dance and sing.
- I love Ellen DeGeneres

False
- I like sports, especially wrestling and football
- I am not weak and feminine, My Friends once called me a bear, another said I was manly... rolleyes
- I'm usually picked to go on a team when it comes to football.
- I don't wish I was a girl.
- My wrist isn't limp.

Stereotyped:
-I LOVE Lady Gaga and Kathy Griffin
-I'm feminine
-I like to wear flowers in my hair
-I'm a drag queen
-Almost 100% of my friends are female
-I have a black woman alter-ego
-I <3 boys
-I watch Rupaul's Drag race
-I dislike sports

Non-stereotyped:
-I'm not stylish
-I don't have a lisp
-I enjoy gore, and the macbre
-I don't wish I was female
-I wasn't molested
-I keep my legs closed
-Sex scares me
-I'm not a partier
-I hate giving outfit advice

True:

I like girls and sometimes fantasise doing things with them.
I am overweight.
I enjoy dressing in men's clothes sometimes.
I like hockey, and enjoy watching sports.
I despise wearing make-up.
I don't worry about shaving myself regularly.
I do like the idea of driving trucks or all-terrain vehicles.
I'm not a big fan of wearing bras. (Unless I'm in public, of course! ^///^)

False:

I am not a hot slut.
I do not have boy-short or spiky hair.
I do not hate men.
I don't have "father issues". (I live with him and we get along well.)
I'm not "faking it" for male attention.
I'm not gay because I'm desperately ugly and no man would want me.
I am not completely butch or femme.
I do not like Tegan and Sara or The L Word.
I have not been abused or molested.
I like dogs as opposed to cats.
I am not overly left-wing or concerned with the environment.
I wear dresses.
I don't have p***s envy.
I am not a vegetarian.
I hate physical education.
I do not like making out in public.
I do not desire to "turn" straight girls gay.
No man can "turn" me straight.

And last, I'm sure that my possible future relations WILL last longer than most people suspect.

i think that most stereotypes have a little bit of truth to them. yes they suck but i dont think they are going away anytime soon so we may as well learn to deal with them

-I do not like Britney, Cher, or Madonna
-I hate shopping and am apathetic about fashion
-I love to play and watch hockey
-I can't stand The L Word or Queer as Folk
-Most of my friends are straight males
-I am not flamboyant
-I do not want to be friends with someone just because they are gay
