Luferius carefully moved through the gallery rapier drawn and ready in case he needed to use it. As he walked by each statue, he paused to listen to the surroundings and catch the scent of anyone else who may be in the room.

Damien stumbled in the part of the castle where here the gallery of the past kings could be seen. What he didn't know that someone else was in the room with him.

Sensing the change in the surrounding atmosphere Luferius stiffened. "Show yourself!"

Damien raised his hands up in the air and stepped out, not scared out of his wits but more disappointed in his captain and friend, "Captain...don't you at least recognize my scent when it comes by? I am here to give you a report and I wanted to see if you need any assistance."

Sheathing the blade, the Captain nodded to his Lieutenant. "Forgive me, Damien. You cannot be too cautious when dealing with a council member. Especially one as insolent as this Kuromaru has proven to be." Giving a salute, he continued. "What is the report?"

He returns the salute, "I have sent several more men to patrol the castle inside and out. I also have asked Tuomas to put up more wards on the throne room doors. He is currently with the queen and Crux right now. What of the intruder? Have you been able to locate him?"

"As of this point in time, I am certain that he will try to get into the Throne room at all costs. I am not certain what his entry point will be, but we must be on high alert."
Reaching into his pocket, Luferius pulled out a small red crystal and held it out for Damien's examination.
"Thus far he has evaded us, however not for much longer."

"Sir, is that what I think it is?" Damien stared at the crystal and back at him confused. "What...what do you intend to do with that?"
He still remembered Tuomas words and warning to him back at the room of blood crystals.

Luferius clenched the crystal, smirking triumphantly.
"I doubt that he will want to leave it here."

"Sir...do you intend to destroy it?" Damien asked hesitantly. "What of the queen? She still has an attachment to the intruder. How do we convince her this is the right thing to do?"

A slight glare pulled over his features. "This intruder has already murdered our men. To have him live would be nothing short of an insult to their memory. I will speak with the Queen of this once he is apprehended. In the meantime, we can use this to lure him out."

"Forgive me sir. I was only thinking of the queen current state right now." Damien bowed. "But I will never forget that he killed our men. My blood boils every time I remember the dead faces of our comrades."
His strength of revenge was renewed by his captain's words. The queens heart no matter any longer. Damien was more loyal to his captain, his ambitions and to his comrades.

Luferius nodded to Damien. "Assemble as many guards as you can spare to the Throne Room. I want every possible entrance guarded. As soon as we are prepared, I will call him out."
