It was easy to get lost in her work, and get swept away with the new schedule that she had taken on now that she was an Agent. The position require more responsibility than being a Grunt did, and Faleen wouldn't choose to have it any other way.
She did however, have to remind herself that training her Pokemon, was also very important for an Agent. She needed to keep her team consistent, and growing in strength if she wanted to continue to work for Team Rocket to the best of her abilities and more. Fitting that in proved to be difficult sometimes, but she found a way.
It was after one of her shifts was over, that she made her way out of the robotics lab, and to the flight of steps to take her to the pokemon training facilities. Her Umbreon already out and keeping pace with her.

((I wasn't sure if he'd be aware of her promotion or not, but I assumed it would have been announced to the whole HQ. If that isn't the case, please let me know and I'll change it.))
"Agent Faleen! That has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?" A slim-framed man stood near the steps, leaning against a wall as if he had been waiting there for quite some time. He had a small booklet in his hand that he had been reading; the diagrams in it seemed to have to do with the Rocket pokedex and its hologram system.
He looked up with a tender smile and held out a hand. "A pleasure to finally meet you. My name is Izaya Orihara. Mind if I ask you a few questions about your department?" Holding the booklet between his thumb and forefinger, he tapped it gently against his head. "I've been reading some things. You and your colleagues certainly have some bright minds among your ranks, don't you? Amazing, really, the stuff you come up with." He handed her the booklet.

(Its fine, Faleen is always in uniform anyway :3 so its not hard to tell her rank, and its certainly not difficult to find out from her public file)
She took note of the man leaning by the steps, but didn't pay to much mine until her rank and name was spoken by him. Taken aback, stopping dead in her stride to move hazel eyes over to the man, staring for a couple of seconds to see if she did recognize him... no... no she didn't.
Her brow furrowed slightly, head tilting to the side turning to face this man and stride over to him, pausing at a polite distance. "likewise Izaya Orihara." she replied in greeting, though with a mildly curious time, she couldn't tell what rank he was, and she wasn't going to assume just yet, she knew that lately some higher level Rockets had been arriving at HQ for one reason or the other.
Her greeting was shortly followed by a small grin. "Your clearance level depends on what kind of answers I can give..." She wasn't going to go talking freely about the tech they were doing, not after the experience with Lance, and not with Galactic as a real threat.
"...Whats this?" When the booklet was handed to her, she glanced over it for a second before reaching out to take it from him and look at it. "Elite Seth is careful who he lets work for him," her eyebrows arched, looking over at him again, not sure why he was asking such things unless... "Are you looking to join one of the tech departments?" From the questions he was asking, she could only assume he had interest in it.

The grunt waited as Faleen seemed to size him up. Despite her initial frown, she responded politely until she heard his request. Gifting him with a grin, the agent subtly inquired into his rank, and Izaya admired her indirect answer. Cautious, this one. No wonder she was promoted.
"Well, of course. It wouldn't do to just give away valuable information to just anyone who asked, now, would it?" he laughed. "Truth be told, I've just recently joined up myself. Nothing more than a lowly grunt. That rank doesn't contain my fascination for your work, but I understand and respect that there's only so much you can talk about."
Nodding in agreement at her mention of Seth, the man chuckled at the directness of her question. "Tech? Oh my, no, I don't think I have the know-how for that. Even so, I've already been transferred to Agent Kunai's division, so there's little chance of that happening."
Clasping his hands together, he cocked his head cheerfully. "No, I'm just interested in how all these fascinating gadgets of Team Rocket work. The Rocket pokedex itself, for example, is a remarkable invention. Was that created here...?"

"In that case, Welcome to Team Rocket," She said, at the mention that he was new among the grunt ranks, it was no wonder she didn't know him from anywhere until now.
his curiosity seemed to be a healthy one, but it wasn't always appreciated in a lot of the more sensitive arias of the HQ, not that she minded talking about Tech, that was where they made all the toys, like the Rocket dex, and took apart the G-ball in hopes of reverse engineering it. These were things that most Rockets knew about, not in great detail granted. "Indeed the Rocket dex did come from the Tech level, though this was far before I joined team rocket, so I wasn't involved with its initial construction, we do make more though when its needed, and upgrades are created by programmers and engineers as well." She slapped the book her handed her against her palm, then moved her hand back out to hand it back to him.
"You say you work with Elite Kunai correct? am I to assume that you are a training infiltrator of sorts? Though if I was to make an intelligent guess, I would say you have something to do with retrieving information." this is course stemmed from the fact that he knew her name before she even knew he existed.
Not to many grunts made it into one of the specialty departments unless they had promising skill, She was interested in what this man had to offer Team Rocket in that department. It pleased her to see ambitious lower rank Rockets.

((Funny you had the G-ball mentioned; he was just going to ask about that since he heard about it in the rec room. XD))
Accepting back the handbook, he tilted his head at her question regarding his work. "Extremely perceptive," he replied, nodding in admiration. "Intelligent guess indeed. I'm impressed. Is there any other reason you may have come to that conclusion other than my snooping around?" the grunt laughed lightly.
"The reason I'm here right now isn't because of my work, actually; I'm off duty. I just recently heard some rumors passed around in one of the recreational rooms about some technology obtained from Team Galactic." He put the handbook away into his jacket pocket. "Something about a 'G-ball', I think it was...? I wanted to confirm what I had heard. Someone mentioned it could hold a multiple amount of pokemon. Is that true?"

A half smile crossed her lips at his comment, and she gave him a grateful, and polite nod. "Seeing as you knew who I was, and I'm certain we've never met before. Your sense of curiosity of good for that, Though I imagine people uneasy if you were to dig to deeply."
She tilted his head softly as he continued, and his inquiring about the G-ball. It wasn't much of a secret that they had it, and what it could do from the witnesses of the raid. "It does actually, You heard correct, from our best estimate it holds somewhere about 20 pokemon in one sphere." at this she gave a more genuine grin, as if she was speaking of something she found truly amazing. 'were you talking to one of the members of the last mission?"

"Yes, well, you know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back." He chuckled. "I wouldn't be surprised if I've already made some people uneasy by coming here to see you, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it."
He whistled long and low at Faleen's statistics on the ball, raising his brows in surprise. "Twenty? My, that's quite a few. Does it matter their level? I thought I heard something about a Shaymin 'exploding'..." he added, not quite certain as to what Tambrey had meant. "Did it come out late?"
Pleased to have elicited the grin from the agent, Izaya felt encouraged to press on. He seemed to be asking the right questions. "Yes, actually, I was. A pair of them, as it were - Grunts Tambrey and Saleen. You were on that mission with them, I take it?"

Her eyebrows arched curiously, wondering what he meant by that statement, unsure of why or who would feel uneasy about him talking to her. "Oh? And how would you figure that Izaya?" she asked, politely curious.
She couldn't blame him for being impressed, the G-ball was certainly a masterpiece, Faleen felt it deserved to be treated as such. His curiosity could be something she considered fairly normal, and so far he wasn't asking any questions that couldn't be logically determined, or that the majority of Rocket's didn't already know through gossip. "As of yet we haven't determined if level plays a part in how many pokemon it can hold, but if you consider the capabilities of a normal pokeball, how one can hold any level of Pokemon once its captured, than I would have to say 'no'" From what she had heard on the mission from the Rockets, it didn't seem to be the case, but that was something she was going to need to find out for sure as they learned more about the G-ball.
Faleen let out a soft hum, shaking her head slowly as she lowered her gaze to the floor, lifting it back up with a slight, thoughtful frown on her face "You certainly are new, no, the Shaymin seems to know a move that is thoroughly devastating to the aria around it, several of our team mates who have been caught in it have suffered serious injuries. If you are even in a situation where you are faced with the Galactics, be aware of this."
At the mention of the two Grunts, Faleen took a moment to consider if she knew the two or not, confirming that she did not, She hummed again "Unfortunately I did not go on that mission, being in the Tech labs I was brought the G-ball when the mission team returned."
Lifting a hand in a soft gesture, Faleen continued up the steps Umbreon stalking next to her. "Admittedly, it was a mission that I regret missing."

"Oh, you know the higher-ups," he replied dismissively, waving a hand. "They don't really support the curiosity of inquisitive lower members like myself. I doubt they'd appreciate me poking around, even if the information I'm seeking is perfectly harmless." Sighing, he shook his head. "As a fellow intellectual, Faleen-san, I'm sure you understand what I mean when I say it's tragic that they encourage the physical development of trainees and grunts over mental development. There's nothing to stimulate our minds except for what we do to stimulate them ourselves."
"Of course, that often means using up time that could otherwise be used accomplishing mindless, menial training tasks," he added, suggesting that he may have just skipped his training session that afternoon, "but that's an exchange I was willing to make. It was worth it just to meet you."
Nodding at her explanations and answers to his questions, Izaya appeared thoughtful. "I can't imagine it's much fun in there for the pokemon, though," he mused. "Shrunk or not, it must be extremely crowded. I wonder if they caught all the pokemon at once or if it allows them to catch one at a time while storing them in the same ball. Sugoi."
"My, that sounds dangerous. Was it controlled? As in, did it hurt the other pokemon that were out with it, or just its intended targets?" He supposed he probably should have sounded more concerned about the injured teammates who had been mentioned, but he couldn't bring himself to ask about them. There were too many other more exciting, interesting things. "Thank you for the advice. I'll keep that in mind."
Realizing Faleen hadn't actually been on the mission, he smiled, impressed by what she knew merely from studying the technology that had been brought back to her. Just off the top of her head, too. He concluded that she must have been really dedicated to her work; or at least to the G-ball aspect of it. "Yes, I agree. I might have liked to watch those events myself. Mind if I join you?" he inquired, already following her and her Umbreon up the stairs. "Where are you headed?

"Training" she replied to his last question, "You are welcome to join if you like," gray gloves, with black fingers folded behind her back as she continued up the steps, sparing a glance back at the man, with slightly arched eyebrows.
He certainly seemed to be the flattering type, Faleen appreciated the complements, but she didn't read to much into them, her experience showed someone like that tended to have ulterior motives. It was to be expected form people though, especially those in Team Rocket. This never bothered her though. "I imagine being crowded is not a problem, Pokemon are usually stored as energy within the pokeball, not solid masses, so space isn't a problem for them."
"Hmm, Its certainly a common way of looking at how it is to be a lower rank, I do agree, and the way that Team Rocket comes off, especially with the higher rankings of Elite and Executive, its easy to just throw it up to them not caring, or them simply wanting you to follow orders." Here she paused, looking ahead again as fingers curled around the back of her hand, reaching the level flooring and waiting for Izaya to catch up before she continued. "And yes, as a Trainee, and as a Grunt, you are only good for follow orders, and meet the needs of Team Rocket as their expendable forces." Here she raised a hand. "This however does not mean that they are not watching for those individuals who go above and beyond what a grunt is capable of, Those who put that effort forward, working to prove their own usefulness and worth to this organization."
She continued down the hall, As she walked she would glance over at him, trying to be polite and look at him as they walked, but it was difficult, seeing as she didn't really want to go bouncing off of walls or tripping over Umbreon. "Everyone starts at the bottom Izaya, and nothing in Team Rocket is ever handed to you, you have to earn it. Its already impressive that you've been placed in a specialty branch with Elite Kunai, it took me almost a year before I earned my place in the Robotics division, and even longer to be able to work with the things I work with now." Of coerce, it wouldn't have taken nearly that long had she not displeased Seth so deeply early on in her Rocket career.
She shrugged this off though, "Besides, Trust me when I say that being physically capable, and having a physically capable team, can save your life on missions or out in the field, That aspect of your training is not drilled into lower ranks for no reason." Faleen herself kept up with it quite often, she needed her team to be as strong as they could be.

"Energy? Ah, sou ka, sou ka. The trick must be in keeping that energy separate then, neh?" He grinned, hands in his pockets. "Intriguing. I wonder what it would be like if humans could be stored as energy as well."
"Ehh?" Orihara laughed at her explanation once he had caught up to her. "That sounds so depressing! You make it seem that by being expendable, the chances of failing or dying before one manages to prove their usefulness are considerably high." He smirked, shrugging his shoulders. "I suppose it's just survival of the fittest here, then."
"Thank you for the compliment," he responded to her statement concerning his placement. "But it's probably just due to the fact that I'm not of much use in any other department. As it is, I wonder how long I'll be able to keep my place and the favor of Elite Kunai." He chuckled. "She nearly threw one of her knives into my head upon our first meeting. I can't call that too lucky."
"Look at you now, though! It might take me twice as long to get where you are. At least in level if not in placement. That reminds me - I should probably train my pokemon some, shouldn't I? Don't really know much about her or her type." He smiled warmly at Faleen. "So, what's your favorite aspect of being a Rocket? Or, more specifically, a Rocket Agent in the Robotics division?"

She chuckled softly at the mention of humans being stored as energy "That would be something, now wouldn't it. Perhaps someday."
"Its easy to preserve it that way, if thats the way you want to and Its only depressing if you let it be depressing, I thought of it as more of a goal to work toward." She didn't feel reason to be worried about it. The process helped to build grunts into a stronger force for Team Rocket.
She did raise her eyebrows a bit, at the mention of him seeming to have angered Kunai. "In the end, its up to you Izaya."
Faleen didn't quite answer his last question, giving a small curious grin before replying with a question of her own "Why did you join Team Rocket, Grunt Izaya?" He was asking her quite a bit of question, she wasn't sure why, his curiosity fixated on her was odd, she wasn't used to this.

"The goal of not dying or failing before managing to prove one's usefulness?" he inquired, still laughing at the thought. "Yes, I'd say that's a pretty decent goal. General, but decent."
At Faleen's question. Izaya paused. Then he smirked at her. "Didn't you know that one of the most obvious signs that a person is crazy is if they answer your questions with more questions?"
Orihara chuckled a minute before continuing. "The simple truth is that I love humans. I love watching them and predicting their actions. I also love their unpredictability. I like discovering what makes them tick." He met her gaze. "Team Rocket is especially intriguing to me. Most people, when going against their consciences, try to justify their actions. This organization though - haha, they don't even hesitate to call themselves criminal. I wonder why that is."
He looked thoughtful. "I thought the best way to understand its motives and goals would be to become a part of it myself. My main theory is that when working together, as mobs or gangs do, the most unlikely people will commit bold acts that alone they never would have dreamed of. No matter how immoral." The man winked. "Heh, I'm just curious as to how far people here will be willing to go. Theft is pretty common, but what about murder? I myself keep my morals pretty low in order to avoid regret and allow myself a greater freedom of choices. That's why I'm not afraid to stoop low even as an individual, and therefore Team Rocket's lack of influence on me won't hinder my observations of my fellow members."
"Now, if I've answered your question, will you answer mine?"

A polite look of amusement crossed her features. "Being crazy isn't something I'm particularly concerned about."
She listened to him talk, with growing intrigue . "That is certainly a more unique answer that's been given to that question. I will admit. There are several experiences I've had while working with the team here to give you more of an insight, but I get the impression that this is the kind of behavior you would like to witness and experience for yourself, I will not rob you of that."
Faleen was well aware what kind of things she was capable of, and she was well aware of what her team mates were. This usually depended on the individual, right now the most prominent example would be Agent Aila. The Agent coming to mind at the mention of murder. It was something that wasn't unheard of in Team Rocket.
"You joined, to observe us than." She concluded. she wasn't entirely sure if his reasoning was entirely good or not, generally those who joined Team Rocket would be good to have some loyalty to the organization, she would have to keep an eye out for that.
When he pointed out his prior question, she nodded, that was fare enough. "Working with tech has always been my goal, bettering myself, and being useful to the organization." She glanced down at Umbreon, who was eying the other human with a soft frown. "My favorite aspect of being in Rocket otherwise? I can always count on the fact that we are all more than capable of being back stabbing liars, and that at least us criminals are honest about that fact. Unless of coarse you are a liar, but than one can expect it anyway."
She lifted a gloves hand, a small ghost of a smile touching her lips, She knew how strange that might come out. "And now that I earned the position to work on my beloved robots, I get to live my perfect little life." So long as she remembered... lessons well learned though.
