His striped feet clipped along happily, though he was by no means galloping--every so often he would stop to sniff the flower of a new tree or nibble at a berry. Everything tasted and smelled and felt so good and fresh and good! It made Hathi smile even wider than he usually did.
Humming a little ditty to himself, Hathi continued through the forest, though every so often he would come to a stop again to look at the way the patches of sunlight played on the leaves around and below him. It kinda made everything look like a big puzzle...but Hathi knew that it wasn't because it was just sunlight and shadows and that would be silly and how would that even work anyway?
Chuckling a little bit to himself, Hathi kept walking, his pale blue and pink wings lazily fluttering about his shoulders to keep him cool--and his long multi-colored hair certainly did nothing to keep his tempurature down, and his feathers kept tickling his forelegs.
"Stoppit," he whined to them, chuffing as he tossed his mane all to one sider. "Or I'll have to cut you," Laughing a little bit to himself, Hathi paused as he noticed a little divergence in the path--rather, a small outshoot of the path he was on led down a little tiny stream which was gurgling happily beneath the little mossy nature-made bridge he was standing on.
"Hmmm...to explore or to stay to the path?" he wondered aloud, watching the water curiously. His wings sped up as his mind began to wander, thinking of all the different places and people this little stream could lead him to. Really, he had no choice but to explore! Think of all those people he had to meet! A little maybe-danger (what harm could a few more branches and a little stream do?) was nothing compared to that!
