Right, I went and made all that info, and forgot to place a spot for people to post their character profiles.

Just for a reminder, here are the profile requirements, and an example will be given in the following post.

Name: (please be as original as possible with these names, don't just put together a bunch of cool sounding words and pass it off as a name. I don't want to see "Strife" or "Blackrose" or "Silvercat" or... stuff like that. Just throw together a bunch of syllables that sound nice. Like "Mellanah" or "Lykeri" or "Hadrick" or "Klenda". And, this might lose me points on the popular list, PLEASE no japanese names! Alternate spellings to commonplaces European or Western names are fine - such as instead of "Erick" perhaps "Aerik" or instead of "Jennifer" "Genyfer".... or something.......) Gender: (straight forward) Age: (also straight forward - remmeber chaomancers grow age faster when they mature) Mancer type: (Either non-mancer, mendmancer, animancer, or chaomancer - remember animancers are uncommon, and mendmancers are only female, and if chaomancer, specify lightening or fire) Profession and Skills: Is your character a farmer? A worker at the Sanctuary? A bar tender? A Tailor? Or are you a lousy bum who claims to be an adventurer? What does your character do, and what skills does your character have. Can they fight? Name: Ariam Breylane Gender: Male Age: 36 Mancer Type: Chaomancer - Lightening Profession and skills: Ariam is the leader, or Governor, or Danam. His skills are as follows: Etiquette (although he's stopped practicing this skill), proficiency with a rapier and hunting bow, horseback riding, and above-average literacy. Personality: Ariam has a strong sense of duty and tends to be very reserved. However, a boldness blossoms when he is faced with injustice. He does his best to analyze a situation before making a decision, which can cause some to grow impatient with him. He takes on a lot more responsibility than perhaps he should, and is easily troubled. Being of a serious nature, his attempts at humour are seldom, unless loosened up with a few good drinks. Brief History: Ariam's mother married a baron of Haraslade. He was the only child, and was brought up with pride and propriety. Being blessed with lightening chaomancing, he trained vigorously to use it with great discipline, and was taught to only use his powers of destruction in self defense, or the defense of others. Because of the amount of telestians, he was also taught to keep his chaomancing in secret. When Ariam was seventeen years old, Herick's ongoing campaign to purge the kingdom of mancers proved too dangerous for Ariam to stay any longer. Ariam's mother sold most of her jewellry and gave the money to Ariam to fund his escape. He came to Danam, instantly seeking favour with the old founder, Maysha, a mendmancer, who had lived to the extraordinary age of 83. Having no family, she appointed Danam as the next leader of the small, developing town. He took the responsibility seriously, and did not seek favour with most of the townspeople at first. Complaints of him being too stiff, snobby and withdrawn were commonplace, but he asserted himself as the leader, saying he only desired to fulfill Maysha's wishes. With that argument, open complaints ceased, and he ruled to the best of his ability, trying to solve problem after problem. He never won the affection of the town of Danam, but he did win their respect. Description: Ariam is a tall slender man. Although only in mis mid thirties, he looks about a decade older, seeming about 45 years old. HIs once brown, short hair is starting to ashen with age. He has pale grey eyes, and a very stern face, in spite of his slender frame. Although slender, he does not look weak or sickly. He keeps himself neatly trimmed and well groomed.

(It looks good - although I just realized that perhaps I should say how long King Herick has been ruling and purging Haraslade of Mancers. I'll just slip about 40 years into the info somewhere. Also, it would be good to specify if Lara actually serves the town as a healer at the Sanctum (which is the name of their clinic), or just happens to be a mendmancer. If you need any clarification at all about anything relevant to your character, please, do comment. I will do my best to provide answers, and if i don't have answers, it means I have more to put into this!)
If we can get at least one more player in hte next week, we'll start then. If we can't by a week or two, I guess it will just be you and me. wink

Age: 13
Mancer Type: Mendmancer Personality: Luminada is an open book to those who knows her. She has no sense of propriety and she's not exactly 'polite'. She speaks her mind to whomever is around. She doesn't mean to be rude, but she has no grasp of the concept of secrecy or holding back. She has an intense attitude towards life; as if she lives twice faster and harder than anyone else. She has a quality of stillness in her that unsettles some of the towns people. Only her adopted sister's presence seems to sooth her enough to 'normalcy'.
Brief History: She remembers running in the dark, her mother holding her so tight she couldn't breath. Then her mother lets go of her. She remains quiet out of shock and fear. She still dreams of it most nights. Luminada was 11 when she woke up that morning next to her mother's still body. She cried then. And screamed. People came to help, many of them consoled her and one took her in. After months of silence, she finally runaway to the next town. She entered a house without permission of the owner, wanting only to take some bread, when the owner came out of nowhere. She run but couldn't go far. She was in too much pain for she hasn't eaten in days. Instead of beating her, the woman helped her to her house and told her to rest then eat when the pain has past. A year later, Lara decided to formally adopt her by letting the town leader formally acknowledge them as sisters. Lara found out later that she has the gift when she witness her healing a bird's broken wings. She was been training since.
Description: Luminada has a very short blond hair, almost white. As most children her age, she looks both a girl and a boy. She's a little short for her age but she makes up for that with her spirited nature. Her eyes are dark brown and her nose might be a little small for her heart-shaped face. Her complexion is tanned from her love of outdoors.
Profession: Mendmancer in training. An all around assistant for Lara as well as of the Sanctuary.
skills: An excellent cook (thanks for having excellent teachers). A fair enough swimmer but with little survival skills in the wild having always been near to cities. She's excellent with curing animals but her skills with humans seems to be almost on the pathetic side.

Name: Aritoumbo (aka Ari, Tum and Bo) Gender: male Age: 28 Mancer type: Non-Mancer!!
Personality: He is a very calm person, but he shows his emotions on his face (specially those of happiness/kindness nature, and still mastering to control those of anger/sadnes nature). He is always one ready with a laugh to make you feel better and a good listener for problems. He is usually happy/calm but has a reputation (mainly when its he who tells others of his youth) of having a "bit" of a temper.
He is the archetype of a defender, he hates people suffering so he learned to heal and he hated people being hurt so he learned to defend himself and others. But as he never leaves to mention, he has hurt many people himself and this is his way of making peace with them and forgive himself.
Brief History: He came from the kingdom of Junaela many years ago (around 15 years have passed since they arrived) into the region when the towns around Poreck started to form. He was barely an acolyte of his master when they moved out of one of Junaela's main cities to build a new temple of his order in the town of Poreck.
When his master gained knowledge about the Sanctuary of Danam, Ari was sent to help as much as he could, offering the temple's aid and blessings. He has been working there since for almost 5 years and helps the Mendmancers with minor things within his abilities and knowledge. He is also well known in the town of Danam as 'the traveling monk', since he walks every week to Poreck and back to visit the Order's temple, mainly he stays in Danam at the Sanctuary where he has been offered a modest room, and people usually bother him with letters and a some other little favours (like buying things in Poreck and the like).
Profession and Skills: Ari is proficient in hand-to-hand combat (in a style similar to jiu jitsu where holds, locks and throws are predominant) and although not very experienced he has had a great deal of practice. He can wield a quarterstaff quite well as is his weapon of choice when confronted by armed men, since it will only bruise, break or knock out people rather than kill them straight away. His teaching in traditional medicine and herbalism are simple, but not rudimentary, given enough time and resources he could heal almost any injury or mend any broken bones as well as cure/help cure sicknesses. He is an experienced traveler, mainly on foot and sometimes riding a cart and he will only ride if the need is great (not a good rider and he'll bump and ache a lot). Has some fair grasp of geography but lacks the inclination to stay ahead with news of kingdoms borders and the like. He can swim to a 'save yourself and pull someone else' degree. Normal tasks like sewing and mending are his everyday meal and also cleaning and cooking.
His Order believes in preaching good, harmony and peace and tends to congregate in places that are troubled so to bring a balance and a diferent perspective. Mainly pacifists they know how to defend themselves and others in case of need, but will not kill. They tend to travel by themselves or in pairs (master and student) and live out of charity while on the road. Once they reach a city with one of the Order's temples they stay in there and help with whatever the abbot needs. They are generaly humble but not poor, and posses only the most basic things in life.
Description: He is above average, being 6ft 5in and has a slim frame with somewhat broad shoulders, given by years of training and traveling. His skin colour is black due to his family and childhood in Junaela, his eyes are also black. He shaves his head almost every other day so no hair is visible, or beard, but it whould show to be curly black. His face is mostly a mixture of caribbean features lacking the broadness of them.

Mancer type: Animancer
Profession: Scout/Guide Skills: Lorem is skilled at navigating, basic survival (building shelter, basic food preparation, knowing what NOT to eat (learned from personal experience too!), and extremely basic first aid), and primitive mechanics. He can also drive the covetted vehicles from Morotopacus.
Personality: Lorem is a bit over confident at times, and perhaps a bit too indulgent in humour. He himself is not much of a comedian, but he greatly enjoys a great laugh, especially when paired up with alcohol. Of course, he knows better than to indulge himself when on the job. Although sometimes seen as a foolish goofball, he does take his job seriously. Unfortunately, although he is a skilled navigator, there are times when trying to impress people, especially ladies, when he may have boasted shortcuts and gotten him and his clients a little lost. However, once acknowledging this (for his confidence causes it too take a while), he sobres up puts all of his effort on getting back on track.
Brief History: Lorem was raised with his father for nine years on morotopacus. Due to impulsiveness and boredom, him and his father set sail for the mainland. They made their way up to a small town outside of Archorne and set up a shop, building primitive labour saving devices and selling them to the few animancers that lived in Archorne for very high prices. Lorem often advertised their shop on a vehicle they had brought over. However, his father one day decided to sell it. Unable to part with it, Lorem stole it and headed west. His vehicle broke down in the middle of nowhere. Some synnerfolk came by, and settled nearby. They needed to stop since one of their women was ripe with child. They had materials that Lorem could use to maintain his vehicle until he got the proper ones to fully repair it. It came with a price of course, and it took a while to bargain. Even after the deal was made, Lorem was charmed by the synnerfolk's roguish ways and stayed with them. They taught him many things about survival and navigation. However, when it came time for them to continue their journey, he declined their invitation to join them. They went their own ways. Lorem knew the only place to get the proper materials was in Haraslade. It was risky. He hid his vehicle outside of the gates and went in to find the materials he needed. It cost him and arm and a leg. On his way back to his hiding place, Telestians ambushed him, knowing that where there is a vehicle, there would be a mancer to operate it close by. His vehicle got destroyed, but he managed to flee into the wilderness with his life. Lorem was depressed. He used most of his money to buy the materials, only to have his vehicle completely destroyed. He knew how to repair it, not build one. Having lost everything, Lorem was uncertain where to go. A traveller he encountered told him of the quartet of towns for mancer refugees. He first lived in Poreck, but got into some foolish (although he believed it harmless) trouble with a rich man's daughter. He left quickly. He came to Danam. Upon meeting Ariam, the leader, their personalities clashed. But Ariam hired him on to scout out for trouble, in case of Telestians or other threats coming his way. He also sent messages to and from other towns, and guided people to and from the other towns. Lorem on his free time often hit the Merry Glade Tavern, or went off to Haraslade to buy more materials. He's determined to learn how to make a vehicle through trial and error, and has a shed where his project is ongoing, but full of costly mistakes. This he does secretly - for he knows Ariam would chastise him for going anywhere near Haraslade, lest he be caught or followed.
Description: Upon a first glance, most would note the black scruffy hair, that is being poorly kept back by an ineffective red bandana. His hair looks as though it could use a trim. It doesn't seem to grown down, but rather wildly out in every direction. His hazel eyes are also aflame with a certain energy, and twinkle when his lips turn up with an amused smirk. His nose is long, and hooked much like a beak, giving him an almost impish look about him, if only it weren't for his strong jaw and broad chin. His skin is brown with many days out in the sun, and his attire is usually worn and scruffy, full of patches, and loose fitting. Sometimes he wears a sleeveless top that shows off his nicely toned arms, but his arms are perhaps the only nice thing about his awkward porpotioned body. His torso is long, and his knees set low. It often makes him seem much shorter than his actual height, which is 5'10.
