For a more interesting subject matter:
Does it annoy you when straight people say "It doesn't matter/It's none of our business" about musicians who are gay? A lot of them mean that the fact the the musicians are gay doesn't make them like them less, and insist they're being pro-gay, but they don't realize that the whole "what they do in their bedroom is their own business" thing is homophobic in itself.

I don't think that sentiment is homophobic.
It doesn't matter what sexuality a musician is. If they make good music/music that you like that SHOULD be all that matters.

Wendy Carlos was one I had in my mind. Dana International is another one (transsexual went from male to female), All the Pretty Horses, Dana Baitz, and um.. katastrophe. Just to name a few. ^_^
