http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46PXaJxzuDEI saw this video posted in another guilded and wondered, should we be offended by it or just shrug it off as nothing? What are your opinions about it? What do you think the motivations behind the video are? Discuss.

So I can't actually watch the video (parental controls on my laptop, just in case) but seeing as it's simply from YouTube, I wouldn't really take it very seriously. People post inflamatory videos, comments, and stuff about the Church all the time. I do speak out against flamers and trollers here on Gaia. Mainly because it's unfair to us that we have to suffer through all this biased insulting for no good reason. But I never get offended because of what they say about the Church specifically, just the act of flaming the Church altogether. After all, we know it's not true.
Of course, it is our First Amendment right to have free speech, a fact that anti-Church posters will use to their advantage. But I tend to remind them that that same amendment allows for free religious practice, which includes a right to not have your beliefs mocked extensively. That tends to hush them up.
Since I clearly went off on a legal tangent, y'know what I learned recently? The Extermination Order in Missouri was only offically repealed about 40 years ago. While the practice of exterminating any Mormons had fallen out of practice before then, up until the 70s it was completely legal to do so if you wanted. gonk

I do find it offensive, but not enough to really bother me. I don't think it is funny to make the Savior the butt of a joke. Doesn't matter if you put "Mormon" in front of it or not. It is basically taking the Lord's name in vain, so yeah, not funny.
Now, making fun of our quirky Mormon CULTURE, I am all for. xd

I didn't get it at all. I got bits and pieces really, but over all, it looked like a bad vid, a total mess. I just didn't like the comments below it by others. Really didn't get understand what the purpose of it is.

The only things I found a bit offensive was the bit of doctrine that was obviously taken from Anti-Mormon literature, which there is already lots of on the net.
Thus, I don't find any reason to get to upset by it.
