Cool, clear water. Zarha slowly walked down to the shore of the great lake, past the umbrella tree leaning over the shallows, casting its shadow over the still water. She did not hesitate or flinch when the chilly water touched her toes, though the fur on the back of her neck did stand on end. The den was far too crowded for her today. Her cub's body heat transformed the cooling darkness into a sweat lodge. Luckily, Zarha knew where to escape the heat of the day.
When the water reached up to her ankles she stopped and lay down in the shallows. She rolled around, letting the water and mud soak into her dark fur. "Ah..." she said with a smile. This was exactly what she needed. The moment the water washed over her shoulders she forgot her guilt for leaving Star, Mozi and Anwar to look after the cubs. This was Zarha time.

Namir was very proud of his banu Rana. She made him a healers bag and now he was able to store some of the items he works with all the time like a small flat stone that he crushed plants with and herbs. He didn't know how she made it but he was very glad for it and her.
He was determined to put the bag to good use and so was on his way to gather some of the herbs by the lake side that he found a few days ago. These were herbs that were best used dried according to his teacher. Since Farrah, Rana, and him lived fairly close to the lake in a cave he found, Namir soon found himself at lakes edge. There he spotted a female in the water apparently relaxing in her solitude that he had just intruded upon. "Pardon. Didn't mean to intruded."

Surprised by the voice, Zarha rolled onto her belly and flipped back her hair to look up at the strange, blue pad. Before she could take in his features her eyes were immediately drawn to the bag he wore around his neck. Her eyes brimmed with curiosity. She had seen some lions wearing bags of animal skin around their neck held shut by a string of animal hair or vines, but this was the most intricate design she had seen yet.
"That's a very interesting bag you have there," she said, forgetting what was said before. She lifted her eyes, looking carefully at his face. After a short examination she smiled triumphantly, believing that she knew something. "Are you related to Pad Achal? My father is a friend of his."

Namir preened a bit. Rana did make such a good bag that he couldn't help but feel proud of both her and her skills. "Thank you, my Banu made it. She is quite skilled if I do say so myself." When the Banu asked about his father, Namir nodded quickly. "Yes, Pad Achal is my father. I am Pad Namir, Naim'Namir, but most just call me Namir." He knew his father was friends with many in the pride and the female did look familiar but he could not think of her name nor the name of her father, much to his embarrassment. Being the lion that he was Namir admitted as much, "I am sorry Banu but while I recognize your coloring and markings I am unable to place a name with such golden eyes. I have a feeling that I know your father as well, even if just in passing but again the name escapes me." He wasn't trying to overly flatter her but he was being polite.
