Don't get butt-hurt over yaoi.
It's just fangirls pushing a pairing onto people, and it can actually be quite enjoyable to attempt showing WHY each character has a thing for each other.

Crack The Whip __ they make it seem that L and Light like each other.... it irks me. Big surprise... rolleyes Honestly, I'd be a little concerned if the fans didn't do that. It's like a rule. The fans always pair up rival/enemies in an anime. No two guys in an anime are heated rivals until the fans pair them up. Every fandom has them. Don't let it get to you.

huh i never really noticed anyone doing that because my only friend that reads/watches death note isn't an uber fan, but now that you mention it, you're right. I guess it doesn't bother me thought because if Light hadn't gotten the Death Note he probably would've ended up trying to get justice the way L does.

I get what you mean. I hate it too. That is EXACTLY what they
do pair up rivals/enemy's, Akiko is right.
But don't let it bother you. Its the same with Naruto and Sasuke aren't they rivals? <.<

Eh, I like yaoi. Some people do, some people don't. Personally I think they work as a couple, but some people disagree. It really depends on the reader's thoughts.

Oh, I dislike most of the Death Note fandom as well, but not for their pairing reasons. Shipping is just part of the fandom, and it's all in good fun anyway. :] I just hate it when some of the Death Note fans get all super wannabe-Japanese on us and say, "Oh, you mean Raito, right? Ha, Light is his fake name," or something like that, you know what I mean? Eh, just my personal opinion.
