 Gale grinned as she charged through the forest, dodging trees at break-neck speed. Heart hammering in excitement and exhertion, the putple and white fox twitched her ears back to see if she could still hear the bear she was running from. The vixen grinned anew as she remembered what had started this race to begin with.
Gale had come upon the slumbering bear quite by accident, had accidentally kicked a loose rock that had accidentally hit the bear and awakened it, had giggled at the poor thing's confused expression...which had accidentally drawn it's attention. The bear had purposely charged her and she had very pruposely run away.
Not catching the barreling gait of the bear, Gale slowed to a much more normal speed, stopping in a clearing and looking behind her, laughing a high tinkling laugh.

 Evan had been minding his own business, sleeping the time away in a tree when all of a sudden he heard a roar and the sound of a very pissed off bear chasing some prey; he didn't know what that pray might have actually been, but the bear seemed to think that it had climbed up into Evan's tree, and had taken a liking to trying to climb in.
After debating for a few moments as the bear climbed higher--he could feel his heart racing with excitement--Evan grinned as the bear peeked its head onto his branch, but then Evan took off, swooping into the sky just as the bear's paw swiped at where he had been sitting a moment before.
"Sucka!" Evan called behind him, doing one circle in the sky high above the poor wingless bear. It roared again in agitation, but Evan just laughed and flew away.
Then he heard laughter that was not just his own bouncing back to him as a distant echo. No, this was definitely another fox's--a female fox if the tone and timbre gave any indication.
Following the noise, Evan let himself head the forest floor, carefully avoiding the trees that tried to stab him through the wing on his descent. He was very good at avoiding trees by now--sure, when he was a kid there had been a few awkward head-on collisions with the mountains of Kousetsu, but he was over that now.
"You wake up Fluffy back there?" Evan asked, grinning wickedly at the purple and white female before him. "You almost made me into his pre-hibernation snack," he explained, although he laughed, which he hoped would tell the vixen that he wasn't seriously upset.
"I'm Evan," he said belatedly, already hearing his mother's voice in his head chastising him for not introducing himself. "What's yours?" he asked, stepping more into the light, revealing himself and his wings more fully, just in case she was afraid; she really had no reason to be--in fact, Evan couldn't remember fighting anybody with real malice, at least not since he was a kit.

Gale caught the Phim's decent out of the corner of her eye and turned to watch him land gracefully. She tilted her head, curious as to why he had decided to land near her, and quickly got her answer when he mentioned the bear almost eating him. She sent the black and green male a just as wicked answering grin and swished her tail at a jaunty angle.
"I did wake him up. It turns out," she said in a conspiratorial tone, "that Fluffy does not like to be woken by a rock to the head. I apologize that he went after you, but you seemed to have come out the victor since you don't seem hurt." She teased the Phim, recognizing that he hadn't been berating her on almost getting eaten.
"I'm Gale." she replied, noticing that Evan also had a few white markings on his wings and one paw once he stepped further into the sun-filled clearing. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Perhaps I'll have to thank Fluffy back there for chasing you this way."
