This is the horseplace, the border seperating NightClan and BreezeClan. There are many pastures where large four hooved animals called horses reside, and there is always the possibility of barn cats! Watch your steps! Prey is scarce around here, other than in the barn. But you aren't allowed to hunt here, anyway! There are few bushes, but there is long grass that sometimes provide cover. Remember to refresh your markers daily!

and guardian of all things."_______________________________________________ [Guardianvow padded eagerly to the border, tail sticking up. He looked around, eyes sparking with hope, then sighed, his tail drooping.
No BreezeClan patrol to meet them. Another uneventful patrol!
He muttered to himself grumpily, walking forward to refresh the marker. All this peacefulness is making me restless, he thought sourly. If only a skirmish or two could happen every once in a while! That would keep warriors on their toes and ready!]

[Puresun followed the patrol up to the border, her eyes flicking over and watching the horses snort and stomp around. She remembered the musty smell and watched them with wide eyes.
Whereas Guardianvow stomped through a territory and ignored all insignificant things, Puresun was quite the observer. She watched the horses with silent reverence, wondering what horses dreamt about at night.
She heard Guardianvow's disappointed sighs and turned, tilting her head.]
"Looks like an uneventful patrol," she noted with a hint of relief. "We should be heading back now, then."
[Guardianvow glared at her, wondering to himself How can she be glad nothing happened? It was sooo boring!]

They stomped and snorted like angry beasts, and it unnerved him.
His attention was caught by meows on the wind. Raising his eyes, he spotted a NightClan patrol, already at the border.
He slowed, but the patrol moved forward, undaunted. He quickly padded to catch up, eyes hesitantly cautious.
He recognized Puresun and Guardianvow, plus Eaglesoar and...Envy...something? He felt guilt at not knowing her name.
At the sight of them, Guardianvow yowled truimphantly, fur sticking out with excitement. It almost seemed like he was glad to see the BreezeClan patrol.]
"Aha!" the grey warrior sneered, eyes glittering with a challenging glare, "There are the runts now! We were beginning to wonder why the border smelled so stale. Maybe BreezeClan should stop chasing rabbits and start focusing on defending their land!"
[Embergaze glared at the tom as if to say. Runt? Really? Embergaze was infamous for his size and stature. Even though he used to despise this, he tried to gain a little pride from being big and formiddable.]
"Guardianvow!" Puresun said sharply, glaring at the tom furiously. "Stop being such a mouse-brain! We're not looking for a fight, remember?"
She blinked at the BreezeClan warriors and meowed. "Hi, Embergaze."
"Hello," he responded in his soft baritone, fiery eyes sweeping over to the other NightClan warriors with a calculating look. Squaring his shoulders, he raised his head and challenged, "Are NightClan warriors always so hot-headed? Starting unnecessary fights is something left to inexperienced apprentices."
[Guardianvow spat at him, fur bristling and muscles bunching as if to pounce. Embergaze blinked, wondering if the tom really meant to attack.
But the warrior calmed, standing straight with a haughty look.]
"Who said we were fighting?" the prideful tom asked snidely. "NightClan warriors are not so stupid as to fight over an insult."
[Embergaze simply stared at Guardianvow, thinking, He sure likes to hear himself talk. What a pain! Poor Puresun has to put up with him every day...]

[Eaglesoar followed right behind Guardianvow as they made their way to the Breezelcan border, the horseplace. Personally he found horses very stupid, they were big, dumb with large heavy feet, and let twolegs climb onto their backs. What sane creature would allow that?! Eaglesoar glanced at the horses for a few more heartbeats before spraying his own marker on the border, refreshing the scents. "Yep, everything looks quite peaceful, at least we have some good news to report back to Foxfur." He said with a very faint hint of disappointment in his voice, as if he was itching for a good fight.]
[As if in answer to his silent request, Guardianvow suddenly yowled a challenge to a passing Breezeclan warrior. Eaglesoar made his way over and got a good look at the large gray warrior; his name was Embergaze right? Eaglesoar remembered him as being unusually large and muscular for a Breezeclanner, compared to the usual puny cats he saw in gatherings. Up close, the ash coloured warrior looked even bigger than he imagined - the same size, or maybe a tad bit bigger than Eaglesoar himself, he wasn't sure. "Guardianvow," The ginger warrior warned, though not at all sharply like Puresun but rather coolly as if he was only doing his duty as senior warrior but was hoping for a good fight. "Nightclan is hardened by the merciless north wind and the harsh swampland we live in, there is no need to compare ourselves with others." He said with a hint of arrogance, casting a challenging glance at Embergaze.]

[The ground seemed to shake a bit as stomping dirt coated hooves collided with surface. Envyfeather's neck fur of rich tabby fur bristled with unease, her eyes round like liquid pools of blue. She was obviously disliking being near such large noisy creatures. She stayed very close to Eaglesoar, nervousness pricked at her every pawstep while she was on this border patrol. The sound of distant meows floated towards the group of Nightclan cats, and before she knew it, her patrol met up with a Breezeclan one. As usual, Guardianvow had the urge to pick a fight... She was quite glad that the older warrior, Puresun, was able to handle it coolly. She envied the calico warrior for her kind and calm character. Politely, Envyfeather stopped in front of a few unfamiliar warriors. One was a large muscular grayish black tom with striking amber eyes... another was a massive gray and brown striped tom.. his orange eyes had a fierce and tough hew.... Hauntednight... she had seen him at a few Gatherings. She noticed a she-cat, a ginger one with one of her eyes... no where to be seen... and lastly, a lean handsome ebony colored tom with startling golden eyes. She tilted her head to the side and shyly stepped forward, obviously uncomfortable with the new cats. She politely dipped her head to the older gray black warrior known as... Embergaze?] "Greetings... my name is Envyfeather....how's the prey running....?" [Her voice trailed off as if she was lost for words... the she-cat was unsure on how to continue. She gave her snowy colored chest an encouraging lick with her pink tongue, her tawny pelt felt hot with embarrassment. Envyfeather's deep blue eyes flickered towards the golden eyed tom in the back of the patrol, a small friendly flash in her gaze. Ebonylight narrowed his eyes coldly and turned away, he looked towards the horses like nothing happened. Envyfeather flinched inwardly and looked down at her paws.][Ebonylight studied the strange animals, his pale honey eyes turned onto the ground, a few thoughts crossed his mind.] I guess I shouldn't be so rude to that she-cat.... but.... what would being nice do? Not like I'm going to see much of her at all anyways... ugh... when are we going to leave? [Ebonylight's tail twitched irritably, but he said nothing.]

and guardian of all things."_______________________________________________ [Guardianvow raised his chin arrogantly, stepping beside Eaglesoar as if to say 'You don't want to mess with us.' His tail lashed in a challenging manner.]
"Of course," he agreed swiftly, "Every other Clan is soft compared to us. But we shouldn't linger here with these rabbit-faces. We have a Clan to feed."
Eyes glinting at the BreezeClan cats, he added threateningly, "And you all better not linger here either."
[Then he turned, striding away pridefully with his tail in the air.]

[Puresun rolled her eyes at Guardianvow, nodding to the BreezeClan cats.]
"Well, goodbye then," she stated, standing. "I hope all goes well for all the Clans, including yours."
[Then she turned and followed Guardianvow, shuffling idly with a carefree manner. I wonder how Foxfur is doing? she thought to herself silently, her good mood facade fading as she left the border. And how...mother is...]

Not that he wanted a fight, but he'd be willing to give them just as much spitfire in return if they threatened his children, his mate, his Clan.
He pricked his ears as they prepared to leave, shifting on his feet. Thank goodness! That was just plain uncomfortable.]
Tilting his head at Envyfeather, he nodded and said, "Embergaze. Prey is running fine. We're fast enough to catch them."
His eyes flicked over to Ebonylight as the two cats exchanged some sort of conversation, and he added kindly, "I suppose I'll see you at the next gathering, then, Envyfeather. Goodbye."
[He watched as the NightClan cats left, turning to follow Hauntednight as he led the cats to the other borders. Just to be certain, he replenished the markers, then padded swiftly to catch up.
It looked like they were heading to the StormClan borders next.]
