Name: Alder Xenoforth

Nickname(s)/Alias(es): Alder is sometimes called 'Regret' by enemies he has once battled.
Race: Shinigami
Age: Alder appears to be in his mid twenties, but is actually around two hundred fifty years old.
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 150lbs
Rank: Ex-Vice Captain of Squad Thirteen

Physical Description:
User Image

Personality: Alder is extremely laid-back, and will even converse with his enemies if he's in the mood. In his case, however, laid back does not serve as a parallel to passive. He will battle if need be. After the time he spent in Hueco Mundo, Alder retains a lot of his calm demeanor, but some of his old fire has been replaced by an odd sort of mystical aura about him. The Ex-Vice Captain seems...all-around wiser since his return to the Seireitei. From the looks of it, the horrors he experienced while in Las Noches certainly humbled him. On top of that, the time there seemed to kill a portion of him that would never resurface.

Zanpakutou:

Zanpakutou Spirit: Oujou Odoriko is a long haired male, with half of his hair white, and the other half black. His hair trails down to his shoulders, and his eyes are black and white (White pupils, black outsides). He has a very muscular build, and is immensely fast while in his realm.

Inner World: The inner world of Oujou Odoriko is rather simple. It takes two forms. the form that Alder has already experience is the 'Dance of Death' form, which is his Shikai. A black sphere of energy surrounds the duo, preventing escape from the Zanpakuto Spirit. While in this world, Oujou Odoriko will always be stronger than the owner of his blade, no matter what.

The second world is one that Alder hasn't seen yet. It is a world that Alder needs to enter in order to attain Bankai. The second world is nicknamed "NeXus" by Oujou. As it is, in fact, rather 'new'. While in this realm, Oujou gains the powers that Alder would have in Bankai, and becomes impossibly powerful on top of that. Like the last world, Oujou is able to draw spectators into the now white sphere of energy, allowing them to see him throw Alder around like a rag-doll until he manages to win.

Sealed Form: Oujou Odoriko bears the image of a traditional rapier before entering Shikai. It is entirely white.

Obtained Shikai Name/Release Phrase: "Dance, Oujou Odoriko!"

Shikai Description: “Dance, Oujou Odoriko!" (Called "Oujou Dansu, or "Death Dance") : Speed is greatly increased, and Alder's rapier forms into two double ended spears, the likes of which he can control without touching. In times of need, his Zanpakuto spirit may take over, and possess them temporarily.

Shikai Powers/Attacks:
~ While in Shikai, Alder's speed increases rather well. It's nowhere near the increment of his Bankai, but it's moderate nonetheless.

After gaining a moderate speed boost, Alder's rapier turns into two double ended spears that he (Or his Zanpakuto Spirit if need be) can control up to a range of thirty feet away. The spears can deflect Kidou up to number forty with ease by placing in slightly more reiatsu into the blocking spear than it took to cast the Kidou. There is one "King" spear that Alder can either summon to himself at extreme speed, or he can move to it at speeds slightly surpassing that of Shunpo. In order to do this, it requires a little more energy than Shunpo, and is a move that Alder doesn't often use.

(Not obtained yet) Bankai Name: "Bring life to the departed, Oujou Odoriko!"

Bankai Description: Jinsei Dansu, or "Dance of Life"
Bankai Appearance:
User Image

The six spears in Alder's Bankai turn into a set of powerful white gauntlets and boots, as well as a longer-than-man sized Katana. While in Bankai, Alder gains a massive speed increase, now nearly twice as fast in both bodily and speed based movements as he was in Shikai. When he releases, Alder also gains a pair of white, angel wings(The feathers of which can be detached and sharpened or hardened to a slight degree with Reiatsu for multiple offensive or defensive purposes).

Bankai Powers/Attacks:
~ The Gauntlets formed in Alder's Bankai can form one shield per post. This shield is strong enough to block Kidou numbers seventy and below.
~After releasing Bankai, Alder's speed is increased exponentially. As it is one of the key traits of his Bankai, he reaches a speed of nearly twice what it was while in the previous release. While in Bankai, Alder also gains a pair of large, white angel wings, the feathers of which can be manipulated by him. If any of the feathers are removed from the wings, they grow back immediately at the cost of some of Alder's reiatsu. The feathers can be hardened with his reiatsu to form shields, blades, and pretty much anything else he has the reiatsu to use them for.

Chisokutama (High Speed Bullet):
After focusing an extremely dense, sphere shaped ball of Reiatsu in front of his pointer and middle finger (Can range from the size of a marble = Piercing Form) (To the size of a bowling ball = Punching Form), Alder propels the sphere at a speed rivaling that of a Vice Captain's Shunpo at the enemy. If the bullet is in piercing form, the following can happen:
- The piercing form is designed to punch through very strong defenses, and would even punch through Alder's Bankai shields if it were somehow sent back at him.
- If met with the Hierro or defensive tactic of similar rank, the bullet would punch straight through with its enormous piercing potential.
- If met with a stronger Hierro or defensive tactic, the bullet will either dent or crack the defense before shattering. It will not be able to punch through.

For defenses that the piercing form cannot break, the punching form is meant for. It has extreme stopping power, and could shatter great defenses.
- Against a shield or Hierro of lower rank, the punching form would not only heavily shatter it, but it would send the debris--or Arrancar--quite a ways backward at high speed.
- Against a shield/Hierro of similar rank, it would shatter the defense and send them back a moderate distance; they would be able to regain their balance fairly quickly, unlike the last one.
- Against a stronger " ", it would put heavy cracks in the defense, and an Arrancar would be pushed back about ten or twenty feet before being able to push it away.

Only one of the two forms can be used per post, and only one attack of this kind can be used per post. Consumes large amounts of reiatsu, so it is also a very sparingly used form of attack.

Shinkiroupou (Mirage Step):
Due to his massive speed increase, Alder gains a new speed based move while in Bankai. With this technique, Alder can create multiple afterimages of himself for a brief period of time. These afterimages seem so real, that the opponent can actually feel the sensation when they reach out to touch them. Because of this, the speed of Shinkiroupou surpasses that of Shunpo, but demands much more energy to use than the aforementioned attack. A normal use of Shinkiroupou makes about three afterimages, but demands nearly 1.5 times the amount of energy that a traditional Shunpo uses, putting great strain on the user. Due to the strain, the technique can only be used three times per battle without physically impairing the user.

Special Accessories: Alder has a custom black and white chess piece with him at all times. He views it as a perfect description of himself, with his 'dances' of both life and death.

Skills: Alder is highly proficient with swordplay. Not only that, but his speed has the potential to be one of the fastest in the Seireitei. His skill with his legs and feet make him more dextrous than most Shinigami when it comes to kicking and basic evasive movements. His upper arm strength isn't anything to shake a stick at, however.

Biography/History: Alder was born two hundred years ago, in a luxurious life. His family was at the pinnacle of wealth, and he grew up to be very spoiled. His life was going perfectly for him, he was getting a fine education, and was set on the path to success. During the rest of his years in the human world, he made many mistakes, and upset the wrong people, which led to an event a bit later on in his life.

About two years later, he met the love of his life; a girl by the name of Emily. The two spent every waking moment together, and it seemed that the two of them would never split, never sever. Alder became so attached, in fact, that he even taught her all the dances he knew, no matter if his parents disapproved or not. He was spellbound, and there was nothing that could change or sway in the least how he felt about Emily. It seemed that nothing could go wrong for the two of them. Almost another year passed, and Alder proposed to her. They were going to get married in January the next year, when the prettiest snow fell, and the dances of Life and Death were to be taught to the new generation.

One night, however, all those dreams and aspirations would come to an abrupt halt. It was nearing his twenty fifth birthday; he had completed his schooling, and was working a successful career. He was visiting his parents that night, when a gang of thieves attacked their home, killing Alder and his entire family in the process. It just so turned out that Emily was a spy for the rival company that had killed them. However, when the grief became too much for her to bear, she too killed herself. When they emerged as spirits, they were attacked immediately by the hollows. Alder was the only one to escape the clutches of the Hollows. After the incident, he dedicated his time to finding a way to eradicate the hollows. He met a Shinigami, who sent him to the Rukon district. Afterwards, he eventually found himself serving the Gotei 13, under the 13th Squad. It was here that he met his captain, MockaDash, the very same man who inspired him to great lengths to become stronger.

Later in the days of the squad, the entire group was subjected to a large tourney. It was at this tourney that Alder earned himself a rank in the squad--Eighth Seat. In his first battle, he'd lost to Kazuki Hinata, the later Captain of Squad Ten. He defeated his opponent in the second round, though she bore nor real significance. Shortly after the tournament had ended, Alder was trained into the form of Shikai by the very same person who had defeated him previously--Kazuki Hinata. The training took quite a bit of Alder's strength, but the man pushed through, eventually securing his Shikai. It was not long after this that a truly strange event hit Squad Thirteen. For the third time in his life, Alder bore witness to Hinata's rising in the ranks--she had become the captain of Squad Ten, and he was not left as the Eighth Seat in a barren Squad Thirteen. After extensive Kidou training with both the Captains of Squad Five and Squad Nine, Alder then went to Hinata for one last round of training--Shunpo. He was more hard pressed to learn this art, but, in the end victory was his. Finally, he had learned all the necessary aspects of being a Shinigami--Bankai hadn't been on his mind.

Now...the last portion of his life in the human and Shinigami worlds...what remained of his squad was sent on a joint mission with Squad Ten to do battle with the Hollows, which were attacking Karakura Town at that point in time. It was at this battle that Alder came into contact with Furia and Pecado--two particularly powerful Arrancar that had set their sights on destroying Karakura Town. Alongside Hinata, who fought Pecado, Alder battled with Furia rather ferociously, having to fight on the very edge of his abilities to keep up with her Resurreccion. During the battle, Furia managed to drag Alder into a Garganta, bringing him with her to Hueco Mundo as a prisoner of war. It was here that Alder spent a series of nearly twenty years, constantly being tortured and beaten by the Arrancar in Las Noches for nothing more than sport. Thankfully, providence was on his side, and after all those years, he finally managed to break out of the castle of Las Noches. Furia, the Arrancar that once dragged him into the strange realm, now confronted him in battle. The two of them engaged in such ferocious combat that even the other Espada left the castle to observe. In the end, Alder emerged victorious, and forced Furia to open a Garganta for him back to the human world. Now, he was returning, and soon he would go back to the institution where his powers had initially emerged.
