Things were looking up since his run in with the nameless female who scared his pretty face some weeks ago. But, Jagat felt those scars added character to his otherwise to pretty self. Flicking his ears, he looked this way and that as he crossed the boarder and into the roguel ands. Something right now, again, made him feel uneasy. Odd even. He wanted to do something today. What he wanted to do, he didn't know. But it was something. He felt it deep in bones again, just like when he ran into that female. Ugh, she was going to come back to haunt him with every day that passed. He, at least, wanted to know her name! It wasn't fair. He growled deep in his throat as he stalked off, loking for something to hunt. He was hungry.
Maybe if I ask around? No, I don't even remember what she looked like. It was ask a question and get in a fight with her.
Then he had the luck to run into a male from a pride that sounded like it captured females. When he told this male he had been beat up by a female, he left, pissed off with Jagat. Ruby eyes rolled at that memory before looking out again. He just couldn't shake this feeling something was going to happen. Good or bad, he didn't know. He wasn't a seer, how could he know? That's when he fled to some really, really tall grass. Perfect for rabbits or small creatures. Perfect for a snack. And he proceeded to attempt to hunt in these tall grasses, making all kinds of noise.

Kialio touched the fertility charm around her neck with an anxious paw. As it swung from side to side she let out a sigh. Even though Mama Simbi gave her blessing to this quest, Kia felt apprehensive about spending a night with a rogue. She had been on her quest for days now and rejected every suitor she came across. Some were too scrawny, others too passionate but most of the time she left simply because of nerves. What if she had a vision right in the middle of it? Talk about a mood killer.
Sitting on the dry earth, she surveyed the flat landscape that stretched out in every direction. A dry breeze blew through her bangs. Perhaps she should have consulted her mother's spirit a second time before leaving. Her vision only told her that she needed to seek out a brightly colored male, though his features were too indistinct to make a direct match. She didn't even know which way she should go. Her visions were often inaccurate in that way; a few details came in sharp focus while everything else remained a blur. The spirits could be so cruel.
Her ears twitched. She turned, hearing noises coming from the tall grass. As she stared she spotted the tip of a green mane moving through the weeds like a crocodile. She looked away, hesitating. What if he was the one? What if? Her tail thwacked the ground.
It was not in Kia's nature to go up to strange males and purpose them for sex. Those sort of females disgusted her. Were her desire for cubs not so strong she would never dare venture from her pride lands in search of a one night stand. Soon the male's rustling grew louder. Kia stifled another sigh. Now or never, she thought to herself, frowning. Maybe she should play coy. Oh, fancy meeting you here. My but you're so handsome! Bleh! Shaking the scowl from her muzzle, she crouched down and crept into the grass in search of the male.
