Not sure if it's been discussed here at any given point in time, or if this is the correct sub-forum(the way it's worded calls for deep thinking I believe) for it, but what do you think the chances of a "World Wide Bombing Day" are? What would the reasoning/cause be? When would it be? Who will push the button first?
Bored and obsessing over the Tsar Bomba, the devastating Russian continent crusher.

I also ponder as to who will see this thread and think "What the hell Would Borat Do?"

This sounds like something the guys in /x/ would be flipping their s**t over until the next rumor of alien disclosure distracted them. As such, I'm not sure I take it very seriously.

I don't flip out over stuff like this, but I imagine some people are genuinely terrified of such an action packed day taking place. As I said, my research of the Tsar Bomb lead me to think of the possiblilty - which in all honesty is just as far fetched as Alien Contact or a ceremonious God - of an actual world wide bombing day. Truthfully, and stretching into the imagination a bit, it could be the event that rids us of 90% World Population... save for one continent deal.
I don't take it very seriously as well, but like anything, I believe it's possible.

It will happen, or at least I hope it dose. I am an American. If it wasn't for all the WMDs we are creating and selling, are economy would be ******. When you see a bomb drop or genocide occur. You may hear crying, screaming, and destruction. I, on the other had, hear the pleasant sound of cash registers opening. People are dieing, whatever. I am much more worried about being poor. So ya, I hope bombs keep dropping.
BUT
There have been many recorded instances where people with the power to fire WMDs felt there enemies fired one, and almost fired one back. All governments have a fire at will policy. If they think there enemy fired one at them, they will fire one back. Even before the nuke hits the country. This way both will get nuked at about the same time and nether one can take the other over. Yet here we are, alive and well. In all cases, they waited.
This is what I think. If someone fires a nuke, I think the will be the only one. I really don't think any one will fire one back out of sheer shock. Most likely an armed front will storm the country and hang the idiots who said fire.

I found that third choice to be funny. Like God would save us from ourselves. XD This is our war, not Heaven and Hell's.
