And all was quiet in Amityville... Only not really. The staff had been making a huge ruckus the past couple of day: half of them had not even appeared in their scheduled classes, giving students an enjoyable last few days of holidays before the big scheduled school break. The school office was mysteriously locked half the time - though occasional cursing could be heard from within - and Hellma had taken a liking to scouring school halls up and down, terrifying both staff and students alike. On the last day before said scheduled break, and announcement swept down Amityville's school hallways in the form of gossip, rumours, gnomes, even skellyphones: there would be no school break but instead, an open field trip. With teachers. Oh Jack, the horror. Nonetheless, signs were stuck in every see-able angle all around Halloween, and gnomes had been more than happy to pass around student sign up forms for the field trip along the hallways, in the cafeteria, even pasted on student dorm doors. No student was safe from the horror of field trip sign ups, especially under Hellma's baleful shadow, who had been rumoured to swallow up the last two students that had said "no". Well, mandatory field trip it was! BOAT SIGN UPSGeneral Sign Up Rules:
- Welcome to Part one of This is Halloween's first metaplot event! We do not expect participants to have no lives, but if you sign up, please be ready to make a DECENT bit of dedication to this event! There will be tonnes of prizes to give out as well as IC plot developments and minipets! - You must have an ENROLLED AND APPROVED Amityville student to take part in this one - You may sign up with up to two students per person - Part one is a venture in order to tie previous loose plots and make way for Part two, so do not despair newbies to TiH! This entirety of the plot will last for an estimated two weeks, and set the premises for part 2. Hooray! - You must be able to make at least four posts on the boat ride in order to take part of the journey after the boat voyage. If not, your student will be "suspended" in the infirmary indefinately. - Once again, students will be able to win special minipet prizes, develop their IC characters as well as gain roleplay growth points from this venture! Good luck, and fill out the form below! - Lastly do not forget a gm's word is always law in this event RP. Your student may be FORCEFULLY REMOVED from the event, if they purposely fail to follow the rules even after a warning has been issued.
The rough schedule:
- Boat sign ups will end March 4th @ 11:59 PM PST - Boat rolls will be done on March 5th as well as assignments - March 6th AND 7th will be the embarking of the boat! -March 8th - 14th will be the journey on the boat! - March 15th will be the arrival + orientation on the ??? - March 16th - the end of March - ??????

AND YOUR CHAPERONES ARE:Quite a few lucky teachers and Trick or Treat guides have volunteered to guide the boats. They will be running events and games on the student boats. In one week, the boat rosters will be put up with student assignments, but for now, have a look at all the volunteers.

Teacher guides: Will run the gm'ed aspect of the boat. Please look out for their post to check on your student and boat's statistics as well as how long you have ventured on the journey. Teachers may hold "assignments" for their students as they deem neccessary.
Trick or Treat guides: Accompanying each teacher is a ToT guide. They are responsible for helping the teacher navigate the boat as well as provide a second means of adult supervision AND entertainment on the boat. Be on the lookout for games and pranks ToTers might pull during the ride! Boat 1 Teacher Guide:Professor Cadmus: //A secluded druid who is nearly oblivious to most everything save for plants and teaching in the purely academic sense (Basically he only see the academic side // similar to someone who takes everything seriously, and everything else is missed) He's passionate about this profession as well as teaching about his profession, though he is quite a bit of a tardy tart. Special ability: He's a Druid, who manifest's his fear in a Scythe that has a climbing plant attached to it. He can make plants grow in any condition and in being a druid in addition to his affinity for plants he's excellent with potions. Trick or Treater Guide: Trick or Treater Hexidecimal - He's out looking for his old buddy Nox, and the flitterbic isn't happy to have to help man a boat on his quest. While Hexidecimal mostly likes to feign stupidity and cowardice, sometimes it really is genuine. ((Roleplayed by Straight Jacket Girl and Lizbot/Marushii/Chibizoo)) Boat 2 Teacher Guide: Professor Blue is a sadistic water demon in every possible way. "Blue is a true romantic. He enjoys deeps swims in lakes, an enchanted tune and drowning children. He seems to be rather cunning, enjoying manipulating people into doing what he wants, should it be manipulating a child into a lake to drown with the allure of an enchanted tune or getting Red into bed with him getting students to do what he wants." This trip is most definitely the demon's reward for teaching here. He doesn't know what he did to get such a great reward, a boat of children, but he's more than happy to accept. Special ability: Blue's FEAR can make a variety of effects occur when he sings and/or plays his instrument. Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treater Dark Minipet Sleuth - The sleuth likes to investigate things, she's curious and a firm believer of justice and rules. Not much is known about her yet, but stuck on a boat with a bunch of students for days she might reveal some of her story. ((Roleplayed by Appeal and Roxy_Roxanna)) Boat 3 Teacher Guide:Professor Malcolm is rather nice by Halloween standards and sincerely wish for his students to do well in school. However, he tends to overlook details in his excitement - so far, it had led to a classroom burning down and now, it is going to lead to his eventual 'this trip is dangerous for these poor children' realization in the middle of the ocean. And it will be too late to turn back. He also has an explosive temper and will not hesitate to maul/kill if angered - he will apologize for his outburst afterwards, at least? Special ability: His Fear is for offense, but he also likes to fish. At least students wont run out of food easily... Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treater Seething With Rage He is SO FULL OF RAGE, and might, just maybe, not be exactly human..er...oid. Ish. None the less, its best to try one's best to placate this odd ToT Guide... ((Roleplayed by Dragain)) Boat 4 Teacher Guide: Professor Red is Amityville Academy's former-but-still-kinda-is Bogeyman and Gym Teacher. While her priority is to have as much fun as possible, she does take her job quite seriously. Now if only there was a way for Blue to get the message that she's not interested... Special ability: As a gym teacher and survivalist, Red wants to make sure those on her boat are extra prepared for what's coming up. She will be holding mandatory training sessions on her boat to make sure the students are in peak shape. However, this DOES have some side effects.... Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treater Special Gal (Desu-chan): Looks quite young, acts it as well. Speaks in emotes and prone to changing her temper on the fly. Flips things. Mostly tables. Maybe a boat, maybe not. Depends if someone tries rocking it. Her forms of entertainment are twisted and unusual. ((Roleplayed by Marushii and Vamps)) Boat 5 Teacher Guide: Nurse Cricket - Self-preserving and sometimes sadistic..if she can muster up the energy to give a damn. Special ability: Students take less HP damage on the boat/heal up more HP when they rest because of Cricket's FEAR Healing.... although such rests may be few and far between and require some convincing to happen. Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treater Hobknocker. He is generally laid back though he can suffer from erratic mood swings that can bring out the mean side in him. Not a big thinker, cannot remember things for very long unless it's special to him. ((Roleplayed by Pach and Meeki)) Boat 6 Teacher Guide:Ms. Winters (Or just Winter) // Collected and refined, Winter tends to exude dignitary and 'better-than-you' attitude. Though given a bottle of wine and some chocolate and you're more apt to find her out partying than playing the regal eagle. Special ability: Winter's FEAR is the ability to summon to... basically do everything for her (a lady of class doesn't sully her hands with menial tasks). Why? Because she can make her apparition go Fishing and then prepare more food She doesn't believe in going wanting. It saves from having to listen to the children sniveling. Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treat Cooltrainr (Cloak) / Eccentric, devious, rough-and-tumble, looks out for number one (or two when Dagger is around). ((Roleplayed by Yinesa and Felyn)) Boat 7 Teacher Guide:Dr. Hyde: Often dour and occasionally sadistic, Dr. Hyde wants to know how you really feel. On his more energetic days he like to try out new medications on unsuspecting students, but most of the time he's busy avoiding the work he was actually hired for: counseling troubled students. PS: don't worry, the blood isn't his! Special ability: Disorderly Conduct - Through counseling and chemical assistance, Dr. Hyde will get this s**t over with! Trick or Treater Guide:Dagger aka Trick or Treater Acetrainer, a high-maintenance demon and Amityville dropout whose specialty lies in minipet theft and disguises. He is usually inseparable from his partner Cloak.... because she's the only one who can put up with his overreactions. ((Roleplayed by Lizbot and Improbability)) Boat 8 Teacher Guide:Arel pretty much hates you. And you. He'd rather just watch the boat sink, he'd rather just take the gnomes and the cleaning, but apparently Hellma has plans. Plans involving staff. He especially hates Hellma. Special ability: Think long and hard about this one and you will realize, outside of knitting, he really doesn't have any. Trick or Treater Guide:Trick or Treater Mischevious Wisp likes to bark and whine and pander, wont anyone pay attention to him, he's just a cute little puppy...! ((Roleplayed by Chibizoo and Grey Dragon))

So what do I do after I sign up?A letter in your mailbox Congratulations, generic student name here! You have now signed up for the mandatory Amityville field trip, where you will learn such wonderful things as how to survive on your own, and how to survive on your own without any help from faculty members. In order to make sure this field trip proceeds as smoothly as possible, make sure you have completed these items below from the checklist. Step 1: Signing upAfter you have signed off on the official permissions form, be sure to address it correctly. A gnome will be picking these up from your dorm rooms, signed permissions or none. Please at least write your name legibly so we do not confuse your seating with someone else. Step 2: Packing your bagsBe sure to fill your allotted bags with as many items as you deem necessary. Extra luggage however, will be thrown overboard so be very careful on what you pack, and if it will suit you for the journey. If you are okay with losing your luggage, then pack away! Step 3: Feed your minipetsMake sure to feed your minipets... it is rumoured that the smell of rotting Floresce combined with the stench of undead Zombiejox can create a mild chemical reaction that could demolish an entire dorm room. Step 4: Check your boat assignmentsYou will be mandatory assigned to a boat, each with their own teacher and Trick or Treat Guide. You will not get to choose your boat, but please make sure to board your right assigned boat, to prevent complications... or riding with Hellma the entire way. Step 5: Embark the boatA week from now, the first boats will be ready be embarked. Be sure to proceed in an orderly fashion. There will be two exits on the boat, please note the exit closest to you as you travel on board the craft. In the event of an emergency, you might possibly die, please proceed in doing this in a calm and orderly fashion, the captain on board will make sure to make this process as painless as possible. Thank you again for traveling with Amityville Academy, we hope you enjoy the ride!

FAQ:Q: ARG I DONT HAVE A STUDENT YOU LIED TO ME WHY CAN I NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT? *THROTTLES ZOO*
A: *Zoo is dead, revive? > Y/N* PS: As mentioned before, Part 1 of the event is for students only. Part 2 is the larger of the two events and will be open for all. It is rather hard to establish the event premesis for Part 2 to happen when Part 1 hasn't even started yet.
Q: OH NO I MISSED OUT ON PART ONE DOES THAT MEAN I CANT PARTICIPATE IN PART 2
A: As mentioned before, Part 1 and Part 2 are STAND ALONE events, that happen concurrently next to each other only on a timeline basis. You do not need to know part 1 to participate in part 2. Please do stay in tuned for part 2. All plot developments that happen in part 1 will be mentioned in part 2.
Q: I have a sign ups and event question! Who should I ask?
A: If you think it is critically important, please pm Chibizoo/Lizbot OR Marushii, if its a random trivial question, please use the main Q&A thread!

I would like to sign my student up for the boat! Student name: Nyyrikki Link to student journal: Dorm Room! Please describe a little bit about any special needs your student might want: Nyyrikki has this... Kushi-kushi. Well, techinically, he has three, but his pink kushi is very attached to him, and travels in his hood. If at all possible, he'd love to have his kushi come with him on the trip. It doesn't eat much, and it pretty out of the way, thanks to it's size, so it shouldn't be a hassle. Does my student already have a pendant?
