Basically, I'm thinking we should have these subforums to begin with:
- Crew subforum - zOMG! subforum - Random chat subforum - Movies, books, games, music, anime, manga, comics etc subforum (for ALL fandom stuff. This may be split later if it becomes very busy.) This could be named Entertainment - Polls subforum - Gaia families subforum (also for dating, weddings, etc) - Archives subforum - Contests subforum - Organization and feedback subforum (for listing ranks, discussing whether to have brigades, hiring crew, etc. This so that the main forum of the clan would be less crowded with official stuff. The complaints office would also be located in this subforum)
Now, I need ideas about subforum names. Shall we use plain names that just say what the subforum is, or add some creative description like I did in the old clan?
Also, do you think this subforum distribution is good, or would you suggest some changes?

Personally, I wouldn't have so many sub-forums, as it doesn't really leave anything decent to be posted in the main forum, other than newbie threads. I'd leave random chat, polls and families (how many people actually have gaia families? I've never bothered with it myself.) topics in the main forum. If potential new clan members see that we have a main forum full of active/new threads all the time, then that will make a good impression on them.
Also, what would be in the Archives sub-forum?
Personally, I'd just stick with:- -Crew subforum -ZOMG subforum -Entertainment & hobbies -Contests -Feedback With the possible additions of Dawn, Dusk and Dark brigade forums.
I'd also have announcement threads in the main forum announcing new contests and such, just to draw people's attention to new things in the subforums, since some people may not be bothered to check all the subforums all the time.

I think we´ll need a random section. You don´t want people being pointless and random in serious threads.
Art subforums? I think you might wanna split the entertainment forum to being with, I don't know; like, reads (books, comics, manga etc), movies, music and games :l It could grow messy really fast.
Polls could go with random stuff, I think. When a serious subject's thread has a poll, would it be in the polls section? That'd be strange, in my opinion. But a whole subforum for pointless polls would be, idk :l Kind of... Pointless?

Good point about the main forum needing content, too. As to Gaia families, I have one, and it tends to colonize guilds... xd Quote: Also, what would be in the Archives sub-forum? Archives would be for contests that have ended, old announcements about events, and other topics that are no longer needed after a certain date. I prefer not to delete topics; you never know when you need to look up what someone said a year ago, or copy contest rules in a hurry. Quote: Personally, I'd just stick with:- -Crew subforum -ZOMG subforum -Entertainment & hobbies -Contests -Feedback With the possible additions of Dawn, Dusk and Dark brigade forums. I think one thread for contest announcements would be enough. The old clan's forum has a full page of announcements and stickies - no new member ever bothers to read them all.

Count Chemicore I think we´ll need a random section. You don´t want people being pointless and random in serious threads. I agree. The randomness needs to be fenced in a separate subforum. Quote: Art subforums? I think you might wanna split the entertainment forum to being with, I don't know; like, reads (books, comics, manga etc), movies, music and games :l It could grow messy really fast. I will split it if it becomes popular. In the old clan we had lots of entertainment-related subforums, but people tended to forget to check them for replies. Then again, gaia now tells people when they get quoted in guilds... Quote: Polls could go with random stuff, I think. When a serious subject's thread has a poll, would it be in the polls section? That'd be strange, in my opinion. But a whole subforum for pointless polls would be, idk :l Kind of... Pointless? Well... in the old clan people made tons of polls about anything from boobs to Barack Obama. Polls give gold for voting. There are whole guilds, with millions of members, consisting of nothing but pointless polls. But I guess they could go with the random stuff... since they do tend to become random in about 2 posts anyways.

Or not as fast .___.

Link me to the rp guild plz @__@ I'm curious~
Also, when it's gotten more crowded and stuff, perhaps we could like, delete (or move to a section with old threads) the old posts and threads after inactivity of a certain amount of time. If it's a long discussion, perhaps warn the person who made it and give them a couple of days to either get it running again, or to give full permission to us to delete it?

Gallery is not a bad idea. OOC threads for each RP will be in the RP guild. This clan will not contain a RP forum, unless every other crew member except me says we need one.

I prefer not to delete anything unless it breaks guild rules and the TOS. Having lots of threads no one reads in an archives forum costs the clan nothing besides the 2500 gold to make the subforum. Nor does it take up bandwidth, nor does it damage the environment in any way that I can perceive. I will send you an invite to the RP guild. Who else needs one?

How about making the main forum for official announcements? That's where they would get the most visibility. I want people to actually read the rules this time... Trading/selling could go with the minishops/ hiring people / advertisements forum. Perhaps we should call it the Commercial forum?
