wahmbulance Do to that face Leader Sama's old account has been hacked, i have decided that perhaps I should share some things about protecting ones passwords on the internet...I have never in my life ever had an account stolen or hacked from me, and i remember when the internet was still the bulletin board system was around...if you don't know what that is just ask your parents or someone older than 30ish...anyway here's some tips to protect your personal information and passwords.
Also i am not a professional nore to i claim to be, but here are some sensible tips, i also do not know how leader sama was hacked but here you go wahmbulance
1. Never give your password to anyone! even people claiming to be from the website or company who you have an account with...they will have your password on record (I don't care if they are your best friend in the whole world. giving your password to someone is just asking for them to screw you over. example:Marry gives Jane her password cause they have been friends for a long time and she trusts Jane, Jane and Marry have a fight and stop being friends. Jane to get back at Marry changes her password and screws up her information, steals gold, money, etc)
2. Always use the Maximum amount of allowed characters when picking a password, use numbers, symbols, foreign characters if allowed, the longer and more complicated your password is the harder it will be to "Brute force" hack (it will be harder to remember passwords of this nature so i recommend using a password data base program such as Keepass to store your passwords, it is free and will also generate random passwords for you.)
3. Look at the URLs that links will take you to, in Firefox or Google chrome you can see the URL that a link will take you to be for you click it, its displayed in the bottom left corner of the window. people set up phishing websites to harvest passwords to things like gaia to steal passwords, they look exactly like the official website but they require you to sign in and that's how they steal your account info.
4. If someone tells you "Hey, i just got 30000 gold by changing my password to GOMONEY!" this is a scam...never change your password to something that another person suggests.
5. I recommend never using actual personal information on your profile, because you can be hacked by people calling on the phone claiming to be you, to have your password reset to something else... wahmbulance
6. Don't use pet/friends/family members names when creating a password it makes it easy for someone to guess it, just by process of elimination
