Who was your favorite loser in history, be it tv or actual historical times? Why, and what lesson(s) did they teach you or contribute the the general public?
Right now all I can think of is Clinton. Sure he was a screw up and got impeached, but he really did a better Job than Bush. I admire him for NOT causing us to war with other countries. 3nodding

Jon Stewart - I was a fan of his even though this guy had some shows that weren't really succesful. His stand up comedy was funny. But when he became host of the daily show he became my favorite talk show host (next to Conan). I remember when he first started and every critic immeadietly said that this was a mistake. But now its an emmy winning, smart, funny a** show that questions politics. This man is a genius-loser

Like every monday night they show a movie that features " almost famous" actors. LOL the ones you always see but no one knows their names. xd

I think that Albert Einstein is a great loser. He was a German-American physicist who, in 1905, published three papers, each of which had a profound effect on the development of physics. In one paper, he proposed the theory of special relativity, which provides a correct description for particles traveling at high speeds. The two postulates of the special theory of relativity were that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant and that the laws of physics are the same for all inertial reference frames. Einstein did know about the Michelson-Morley experiment null result, but was not familiar with Lorentz's work after 1895, so he reinvented the Lorentz transformation for himself.
While special relativity required a modification of the laws of mechanics, the Maxwell equations were found to already satisfy the requirements of special relativity. Using special relativity, Einstein derived the equivalence of rest mass m0 and energy E, expressible as E^2-p^2*c^2=m0^2*c^4, where c is the speed of light and p is the (relativistic) momentum . When relativistic mass m=ym0 is used instead (where y=[1-(v/c)^2])^(-1/2)), the equation reduces to the famous E=mc^2 (please note that Einstein never stated E=mc^2 itself, and that E=mc^2 is actually useless except for a few instances in chemistry because it applies only to particles that have no relative motion, which is impossible).
In another 1905 paper, Einstein also explained the photoelectric effect by hypothesizing that light consisted of particles (called photons) with energy equal to E=hv, where h is a constant known as Planck's constant (named after the physicist Max Planck) and v is the frequency of the photon. This represented an extension of Planck's quantization to light. The equation Einstein derived was verified experimentally by Millikan in 1916.
Also in 1905, Einstein provided an explanation of Brownian motion using kinetic theory, stating that it was caused by random collisions of molecules. Einstein furthermore derived an equation stating that a suspension of small particles should arrange itself in an exponentially decreasing manner from bottom up. Using Einstein's equations for Brownian motion and the distribution of particles, Perrin was able to experimentally measure the value of Boltzmann's constant.
Einstein subsequently developed general relativity, which postulated that uniform acceleration and a gravitational field were equivalent, a statement known as the equivalence principle of gravitation. It interpreted gravity as a warping of space-time. The general theory of relativity made extensive use of Ricci-Curbastro's tensor calculus. Einstein investigated cosmological modeling, but found that the general theory of relativity would not satisfy the conditions of homogeneity, isotropy, and staticity unless an additional "cosmological constant " was added.

was einstein a loser? i thought genius was a special case with its own class...and yes, some qualities are similar, but they have excuses.
