Really though, it's all so complicated! Becoming a woman is such a rocky path. We don't just grow up, but there's also the psychological and biological milestones.
I don't mean to rant or blame it on men or anything. But since my close friend had a baby last month, I've started to think about the whole girl thing. Guys have it quite a lot easier. When guys reach puberty, their balls drop and they want some independence, and that's pretty much it.
For girls there's first period, terrible moodswings, high chance of harrassment (I don't know a girl who hasn't had an uncomfortable encounter with a strange male who started to get a bit too familiar), possibility of discrimination (I still know many cases where professional women get much worse pay than less educated males), losing virginity, having a child...
Especially the two latter. Nothing changes in a guy's body when they lose their virginity or their partner has a child. They don't have to think "Well, never getting that hymen back" or have a low self-esteem for being rather chubby after having a child. And they certainly don't get terrible period cramps. And if there's a little "accident" with birth control, it's not the guy that will feel the consequences in their body, it's the girl whose life will completely change.
And honestly, the hormones. They mess your head in puberty, mess your body when having a child and mess your head even more at menopause! It's just moodswings and sudden tears all over again.
Isn't there an easier way to live a life as a girl?! D:

There's nothing wrong with being a feminist.

Oh! My bad, I worded it completely wrong! >.<;; Especially since I'm a feminist myself. I made it sound like the opposite. x'D
What I was after was something like "I don't mean to rant and blame it on men". Hmm, I shall edit that bit.

It shows how strong we actually are, even with all the ordeals to deal with.

Oh, good point. And perhaps it also makes us mentally stronger in some odd way. o.o

Pretty much. You have to understand that each problem we encounter is not as negative as it portrays to be. When dealing with a dilemma, it gives us the opportunity to learn and, not prevent them from happening, but make it easier for us to adjust with. An example would be our periods. Some of us bleed and cramp more than others. However, each period we have, each time we can try new things to help ease the pain and stop too much flow. That is what problems are for: the learn and adapt. Even other people's mistakes help us prevent or at least, understand how to deal with such a problem.

With all the problems women have and all the adjustment we make, don't you think this creates us to be more enlightened and knowledgeable? Throughout history, women have been view as inferior but in reality, we are truly geniuses in our own way if we can adapt or solve countless of problems we encounter each day. Plus, not only we are smart, we also have to deal with our emotions. Another display of how human we are.

i thought about this for a loooooooong time. "why the hell do men have virtually nothing, and we women got stuck with everything?"
but i came to the conclusion that it shows how strong we really are. Though we are seen as weaker then men ( i wont even open that can of worms XD), we aren't we are stronger, and deal with our problems quietly.

It's been like this for a long, long time.

I keep feeling like my mom expects me to have children, which will further put me into the housewife job. (stereotype women :/ )
I DON'T WANT CHILDREN!!!!
My mom is all like "when you girls have children....." to me and my sister.
But that never comes up with my brother.

Men actually deal with psychological aspects, and also when men get older things get harder for them, when women get menopause and don't have to deal with children and hey no longer have to worry about getting pregnant and such. Women just get it all over with earlier than men.

Ooh, great points from everyone! <3 Thanks for answering, it was nice to get all kind of different points of views.

Cantellare, Evalinna and Tolora's replies made me feel strong. x3 It's true, we learn from the problems and become stronger.
Also, Gallery of Suicide, I suppose that's true. Males deal with stuff with their head, even if there wasn't any drastic changed in their body, at least until they get old and kind of get to the same line with women.

And wow, x_VioLeT_x_VioLencE_x, that doesn't sound very nice, I'd hate it if my mom was urging me to have kids. Luckily both of my parents are rather the opposite, they remind me not to get pregnant before I'm done with schooling and have a proper job. : P That can be annoying too though, as if I didn't know that I'm not ready to have kids yet. x'D But yeah, I she should definitely remind you brother of having kids as well! : P

Hmm, that brings me to another subject I've wanted to make a topic about to ask for experiences... -goes to do so-

I'm sorry but unless you have experienced life as a boy, don't say they have it easy. I'm sure there are guys who say women have it much easier than guys but, again, they don't know because they're not a girl.

Sure, there are a lot of a** holes but there are just as many girls who are bitches. Some girls are really big sluts just like some guys are really big horndogs.

They have insecurities about their bodies just like we do, they see magazines and wonder why they can't be as good looking or as fit as the guy in it. The thing is though, we can put on make up or even dress like guys if we don't want to barbie ourselves up but they can't unless they want to be singled out and most often, beaten up by a lot of other guys.
(I know there are quite a bit of guys who do it and don't get any problems but I also know a lot of them that get abused just for wearing something as simple as eyeliner.)

Also, I know plenty of guys who have regretted losing their virginity to someone that didn't mean anything to them. There is no real physical change but it doesn't mean it doesn't affect them and my brother, for one, is having a hard time with his girlfriend having a baby. He has worked so hard just to make sure that she can stay home and look after their new baby and it pretty much kills him to see her have to go and live with her parents because they're having problems and can't afford everything they need.

So It's not that everything is easier for them, they wont say anything because it makes them seem weak and it's their jobs as men to be able to provide for their family. The fact that most people know what issues women have to deal with means that we really aren't quiet about it, we complain a lot, and the fact that we think they don't deal with as much as we do means that they're the ones strong enough to deal with their struggles silently.

I'm not pro men or pro women, I just don't think it's fair to say something like that when there are no men around to defend their gender.
Yeah, sometimes I wish I could be a boy but when I really think about it, i'd rather be a girl. Otherwise, I couldn't act the way I do or even like the things I like without being criticized by my gender. I'd also get beat up every day for being one of the weakest people I know.
