Ｓ ｔｏｒｙ
The Immortals War; a dreadful one year war when both horrific and wonderful immortal beings leaked from the Chaotic Realm into the Realm of the Gods and the Realm of the Humans. Animals including dragons and unicorns roamed the lands. Evildoers including Stormwings- steel feathered birds with human heads and torsos, tauroses- half men, half bull creatures that preyed on women, and spidrens- horrific spiderlike creatures with human heads fought in this dreadful battle. This battle was waged by the evil emperor of Carthak- Emperor Ezeko. His nephew, Prince Kaddar, attempted to stop him. In Ezeko’s company included mages from Scanra and the Copper Isles. The main opponent to the evil Carthaki emperor was Tortall.
Ruled by King Jonathon IV and Queen Thayet, Tortall fought Emperor Ezeko. But it wasn’t just the king and queen- they had help. The King’s Champion, Alanna the Lioness, fought as well. The King’s Own, led by Knight Commander Raoul of Goldenlake, also fought. Mages including the most powerful mage in the realm- the Black Mage Numair Salamin battled it out in a power of forces against innumerable foes. The Wildmage- Verilidaine Sarrisri, who had the power to talk to animals and shape shift to become an animal called on her friends to join the battle. Daine and Numair battled in various locations- fiefdoms including Trebond, Dunlath, and Snow Peak. Some immortals were on the Tortallan side, some on the Carthaki side.
Now Daine and Numair were in strange company. Traveling with them were a basilisk named Tkaa, a dragon named Kitten, and two ponies- Cloud and Spot. This party accompanied Daine and Numair as Numair taught Daine her powers. They traveled through the realm- and even got caught in the realm of the gods. There they encountered dragons- two of which helped them in the battle.
All the while, Alanna the Lioness and the Knight’s Commander of the King’s Own were in battle as well. They fought to defend their realm, and all the while tribesmen of the desert Bazhir defended the south. Baron George Cooper, former King of the Rogue (thieves) defended Pirate’s Swoop and the coast. Raoul’s, the Knight Commander’s, former squire Keladry of Mindelan, also known as the Protector of the Small, fought alongside her hero, Alanna the Lioness. They battled to defend Tortall while Daine and Numair fought to find a way to the emperor. The legendary battle ended when Daine tracked down the Stormwing Ezeko, and ravaged him with her badger claw that the badger god gave her. The queen of chaos, Uusaoe, was defeated finally by the gods.
But there was one problem. Uusaoe may have been defeated by the gods, her children weren’t. They made a deal with the Black God, the god of death, and resurrected her mother. Once again, Uusaoe lives. She has been hacking away at the barrier that protected her, and is already releasing her immortal creatures- along with the ones that stayed in the human realms. She has shifted her focus point to a young mage- Flindan of Coralcove. Flindan has very powerful magic powers. Perhaps not as powerful as the Black Mage’s, but he is fit to be a worthy opponent. Uusaoe is focusing all her power onto Flindan in hopes of finally conquering the gods.
The descendants of the Black Mage, the Wildmage, the Lioness, the Knight Commander, the Protector of the Small, and the King of the Rogue- and two others- have to come together under King Jonathan VII and Queen Krysta. The armies must resist Uusaoe’s and Flindan’s doings if the realm of Tortall is to survive!

The Lioness[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Lioness is a very fierce fighter. She is a complete tomboy and was forced to hide her identity in a squire’s training, as only boys were allowed to train as knights. She fought her way through her page and squire training, and soon was knighted Lady Knight of Trebond, her home fief. She got lessons from the King of the Rogue. She is sharp tongued and short tempered, but it an excellent fighter. She has a palomino mare named Moonlight and a sword named Lightning. The Lioness also has the favor of the Great Mother Goddess. She has a powerful violet Gift (magic), though not as powerful as the Black Mage’s. The Wildmage[ Taken by Leopardstreak ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Wildmage is very closely tied to nature. She can shape shift into any animal she chooses, and can also shift into many animals at once (like a falcon wings for speed, and eagle beak for damage, and a sparrow’s size). She can talk with animals, and can ask them for help. She does not have any specific Gift, but has wild magic- her strongest is with horses. Her magic is copper colored fire. The Wildmage was trained by the Black Mage, and her father is Weiryn, the hunting god. She is taken care of and advised by the badger god, whose token to her is a silver claw. The Wildmage can heal animals as well as speak to them. The Protector of the Small[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Protector of the Small trained as a page to become a knight- as a girl. She wore dresses to remind the boys that she was a girl. She started as a probationer, and hasn’t forgiven Lord Wyldon- the training master- and the king for putting her on probation. She doesn’t have any magical Gift, but has sparrows and a dog as her best friends. The dog, Jump, is an ugly war beaten terrier. He is a vicious combatant, and the sparrows serve as spies for her. She has a large strawberry roan warhorse named Peachblossom, who is very vicious to anyone but her. She has a riding bay mare named Hoshi. She came from the Yamani Islands, and uses her Yamani training to hide her emotions. Her favorite weapon is a glaive- a long wooden pole with an end encased in iron and a sharp eighteen inch long point, like a spear.The Trickster Mage[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Trickster Mage is very fun and flirty. She trained in school with the Black Mage, and is one rank below him. She used to be in love with him, but it is reduced to a small crush now. She is talented with cooking and decorating with her magic. Her Gift is a soft violet-pink. She loves pretty things and enjoys making things pretty. But don’t trust her too much- she can be mean! Usually, she’s very nice and sweet, but one of her favorite things to do is play pranks! Her pranks vary from frog in the bed to a fake explosion. Her “partner in crime”, the Warmage, who in reality is her best friend, always cooks up powerful spells to keep her out of trouble. The Trickster Mage doesn’t really like The Protector of the Small, but gets along. She always wears a pinkish purple gem around her neck- her magical focus. The Black Mage[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Black Mage is the most powerful mage in the realm. He trained the Wildmage, and he wears a black robe- being only seven of the black robes in the world. He accompanied the Wildmage in her adventures in the realm of the gods, throughout Tortall, and in Carthak. He used to be close friends with Emperor Ezeko while they studied at the Carthaki university. But then Ezeko began to plot his death, and the Black Mage escaped to Tortall. He cannot talk to animals or as much with animals as the Wildmage, but he can shape shift and he can perform any spell imaginable- from raising the dead to using words of power. During the war, he used a word of power to turn an opponent mage into a tree. The Black Mage is very powerful and the king’s right hand mage. The Knight Commander[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Knight Commander trained as a page the same year as the Lioness and the king. He was very close friends with the king and the Lioness, and is closer to the Lioness than the king now. He doesn’t have any magical Gift or wild magic; he just has brawn. He’s very strong and a big man, and well muscled. He’s commander of the First Company of the King’s Own, and the best jouster in the land. He has a large black warhorse named Black Drum. He is legendary with sword and lance, and is one of the king’s best friends. He was also knight-master to the Protector of the Small. The King of the Rogue[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The King of the Rogue is frankly, king of thieves. He grew up with a mother with healer magic, though no magic of his own. He is a much better fist fighter than he is with a sword or bow. He had a battle with the Shang Dragon, as the Shang specialized in hand and foot fighting. The King of the Rogue is a well muscled man, and trained the Lioness himself in the arts of fist fighting. He also gave her pointers in her squiredom, and helped her throughout her knighthood quests.The Warmage[ Taken ] [ Reserved ] [ Open ] The Warmage is a very big and brawny man. He is very powerful with his dark blue Gift, but not nearly as powerful as the Black Mage. He specializes in war tools and war equipment, from bomb blasts to magical catapults. His best friend is the Trickster Mage, and is always trying to keep her out of trouble. However, he does not like the Black Mage- at all. He thinks he is stealing the Trickster Mage’s affections, when in truth, he has a crush on the Trickster Mage. The Warmage isn’t exactly widely known throughout Tortall, but is feared in battle. He enjoys playing pranks with the Trickster Mage, but really isn’t as mischievous as she is. XXXXXXXX
