This is the standard off-topic chatting thread. I threw in a snazzy title, but you don't have to go by it. If you need some ideas for conversations, you could talk about your first love, the best date you ever had, the worst date you ever had, your dream date, etc. Just have fun with it!

I hope that everyone enjoys this little party even though it is a bit late. I feel REALLY bad about it. xp But, we can at least have some fun conversations.
Here's a fun fact about me: I always buy myself a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day because I never get them from a guy. It feels kind of pathetic buying it for myself, but I thoroughly enjoy eating it while watching chick flicks at home. blaugh

Well, never say never. I'm sure there will come a time when a guy will surprise you with a box of chocolates.

Thanks for the encouragement! Aren't you already married? I was thinking you were, but I'm not positive.
It's kind of disappointing that more people aren't joining in the games to win all of stuff I bought. I spent several hours getting this thing ready, but most people seem to be ignoring it.

It's just that I'm 25 now, and I've been watching several of my friends get married and have kids. I can't say that I'm anywhere near ready for kids, but I would like to find the right guy and get married. I'm at my prime right now, and I know that my body is only going to decay. xp
I eat all of them, but not at one time. 3nodding

( LilChibiusa )Yes, I am. Still lovingly treated after all these years too! I feel like a queen. Even so, there are still times where it just feels good to treat ones self. You're young yet! I have to believe that there are still some nice young men out there.

One way to cure that need is to get a box of truffle chocolates.

@Ami - Thanks for the encouragement. biggrin I'm so glad that you're treated like a queen by the one you love. I hope I can say the same thing about myself in a few years. xd
@Izuna - I actually like all of the flavors except for the molasses ones, but I go ahead and eat that one too just so it won't go to waste. Which ones do you not like?

I think I'm going to make some chocolate-chip cookie bars after I get home from baby-sitting tomorrow evening. (I work in my church's nursery on Sundays and on Monday and Wednesday nights.) That is, if I even get to GO to work tomorrow. I've been feeling like I'm getting a sinus infection.
Anyway...I like chick flicks but am notoriously picky about them, and I do NOT want to watch them on Valentine's Day, since it only reminds me of how unlikely it is that I'll find romance in the near future. I like to watch cop shows on Valentine's Day! (I'm not anti-Valentine's Day; I'm just a huge fan of NYPD Blue reruns. That and I had a Valentine's Day experience a couple of years ago that I don't EVER want to repeat, so I try not to do things that will make me think of it.) Sorry I'm babbling so much right now. Colds are fun... blaugh

What happened on Valentine's Day a few years ago? D:
Ooo! Chocolate chip cookie bars sound yummy! heart Tomorrow, I think I might go on a Hana Yori Dango II binge. blaugh It's extremely sappy, but it's also extraordinarily addictive. I figure that's the closest I'll get to romance tomorrow. I've been meaning to watch it for a while now, but I've been putting it off. I watched the first season (about 10 or 11 hours of viewing) in one 24 period because I just couldn't stop watching it. I know that if I watch the first episode of the second season, I'm not going to be able to stop until I watch every single episode. blaugh

Oh, two years ago was when my "boyfriend" called me up on the afternoon of Valentine's Day and said to me, "Well, I figured I'd better go ahead and call you now, 'cause we're going out later this evening, and I won't be around." "We" being him, his mommy, their next-door neighbor, and her two kids. Of COURSE he wouldn't think about spending time with his GIRLFRIEND that day. And that was neither the first nor the last time that he let his mom and neighbor plan his entire weekend for him. It happened almost EVERY weekend. I was lucky to spend a few hours watching him play video games once a month. xp /rant
Anyway, I make it a point now to make my OWN plans for Valentine's Day instead of sitting by the phone.
And yes, the chocolate chip cookie bars are wonderful! I make 'em from scratch, and they disappear really quickly at my house. heart So I definitely want to make some tomorrow evening. It'll give me something to look forward to. And maybe watch a movie, like North by Northwest (Cary Grant and espionage! dramallama ) or something. 3nodding

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I'm not anti, but I'm not on board with the corporate holiday. Working in a bakery just amplifies the holiday discontent. Ah well. Hope everyone has a good day! heart

Well, I'm sure my avi should make it fairly clear how I feel about this holiday. All to day is to me is one huge annoyance right now. If I ever get into a relationship again It will be ragin'-tine's day for me.
I do nothing on this day every year apart from trying to ignore it. But this time, I get a little solace in that MVC3 will be Available for purchase in the morning. Not that I can buy it gonk , but I know my one friend will and we'll have plenty of fun having the characters curb-stomp each other. whee
