Hey, its February and Valentines is fast approaching. I ask you, what better time to have another Pairs Avi Contest??? Exactly - no better time than now. So here we go. The First Ever Pairs Avi Contest was quite a learning experience for me, so be sure to read all the rules cuz there are some changes! After you've read the rules, grab your fave avi, dress to match, then smile pretty for your screen shots!
1) Follow Gaia ToS (I hate that I have to make that #1, because I know you all know better - but hell I'm old enough to know better - and too damn young to care so...)
2) Mules may be included, but you cannot use your own mule.
3) Individuals may be in more than one entry, but the same couple may not enter more than once. Examples: Tigs + Absol are one entry... Crayons (Tigs' mule) + Absol, too, is not okay since those two users already paired up.
Tigs + Hells OR Crayons + Hells is okay, since those are a different user pair from the first
Tigs + Ned is not okay since its the same user.
Also - limit of 3 entries total per person.
4) Contestants must sign up by February 8th 20th. One of the two will post here announcing who they will be entering with.
5) Contest entries will be accepted from now until February 20th, and the winners will be determined by majority vote.
6) To post an entry, each contestant will post here stating "This is my avi entry with (name of partner for entry). I will do the screen shots and then put them together in a post for voting. I will quote your post and let you know that I've gotten the screenie - until I do, you will want to leave your avi as you want it for the contest. Also, if you would like a non-gaia background, I am all for it! But you will have to hunt it down and send me the url. Oh, and it can be no larger than 383x240 - so if any resizing needs to be done, I would appreciate it if you do that first. I am willing to work with ya'll on this, so we can talk about how you'd like the avi's placed, etc. If you have any questions or reservations about this process, talk to Harvey, Void, Hells, Dresden or JDBR - I think they all can vouch for my artistic abilities in this area.
7) Voting will start on February 21st and run through February 28th. The winners will be announced on March 1st, barring any tie breakers that may be needed. Edit: Please vote by sendind me, MystiMcMuffin, a pm with the entry # and names of the pair you are voting for by midnight Eastern Standard time on February 28th (sorry, my blondness forgot to include this in the original post)Also, you must be a member of the guild to vote, and MULES Cannot Vote.
8 ) Prize for first place will be a February 2011 MC Envelope for each of the winning couple. Prizes for 2nd place will be choice of Speakeasy and Eightball Riot. Prizes for 3rd place will be choice of Sommelier Accessories and Tanked Tavern.
Oh, and one more thing....
9) As hostess of this contest, myself and my mules will not be participating this go round.
