That is ridiculous. I know this isn't going to be what you want to hear, but can you make an appointment to see a podiatrist? When I broke my foot they were going to call whoever was "on call" but I told them I WANT MY DOCTOR ( I see a foot specialist a few times a year because of my diabetes) I knew him and trusted him and HE did my surgery (I needed a titanium plate, pins AND a graft rolleyes )I've gotten that kind of treatment from ER doctors before....they are so busy they take one look at you and decide you are fine and don't dig any deeper. I must have been to the ER 3 or 4 times complaining of abdominal pain before anyone diagnosed my pancreatitis and by then it was VERY serious! Do NOT take NO for an answer! If you are still in pain, I really think you should see a specialist if at all possible.

And sorry but I'm sure you'll waste a lot more time on your life doing less important things than waiting to see a doctor. Calm down.

That is ridiculous! I hate er doctors. One time my mom fell and hit her head on ice, so she went to the er, they told her she was fine and when she was asking questions.....the doctor told her to GOOGLE IT. Seriously?!

Its mostly use for broken toes. they hospitals here give you one when you break your toe or you have surgery on a toe.

Well your hospital is pretty nice! That's not nothing, she could have suggested that. Never seen one though, so I doubt any pharmacies carry em.

I hate doctors. The doctor you went to sucks, I would have been complaining until she went deaf! They should do something if you have been sitting there for that long -- maybe not xrays, but certainly stronger pain killers and/or a boot of some sort for your foot.

The top three worst experiences I have ever had around doctors are:

1) When I was nine or so years old, I awoke screaming in pain and would not stop sobbing for three days in bed, not eating. My family finally took me to the ER and I wanted nothing to do with sitting upright. So, not caring anymore, I just kept laying down on the floor because it was a cool surface and I was calmer laying down. Every time I did that, the nurses would sit me back up in a wheelchair and tell me not to do it again, and this went on for over eight hours until I got put in a bed and fell asleep for the first time (twenty minutes asleep and a nurse comes in and turns on the lights and said, "I'm sorry, were you sleeping?")

2) My mother used to work at a horse barn and ended up in the way of the well-known evil stallion. He hated everyone he saw with a passion except for his fourteen year old owner (had broken her trainer's spine once). He charged mother and when he realized she would just continue running back towards the fence, he spun and kicked. I swear, her arm could bend like Harry Potter's when there were no bones in it, and the bone fragments that were left were sticking out. At the ER, the woman asked, "are you sure its broken..?" ...nope.

3) One of my little sisters had been throwing up for hours nonstop when she hadn't even eaten anything, so we took her to the doctor where she sat and cried for three hours until she was the last waiting to be seen. The doctor went on break, and took her dog for a walk in front of the building where we could see her and ate her lunch behind the desk until she got to our turn.
