[ Magic Lessons ]
Baxterfullous took a deep breath, looking at the watch on his wrist. He remembered he didn't really set a designated time for class to start, but he hoped they'd come sooner. Leaning back into his chair from his desk, he watched as Aphrodite flew about the room, encirling the ceiling looking up at the stairs. The room was moderately lit, a few dimly light orbs floated about the classroom.
"So pretty.." the wasp mishap breathed, looking up at the painted stars. "Bax can I mama if I can do the ceiling again like this...?" The small mishap asked, flying to the tall catfolk.
"Well, we'll have to see... and you'll have to adress me as Mr. Von Montegue while class is going on."
"Why?"
"Well... being a teacher somewhat demands a bit of formaility, I'll be adressing you as Ms. Moonfire, unless you'd like to be called otherwise."
The wasp mishap giggled. "I don't think I like being called Miss, Aphrodite suits me good."
Bax smiled a bit. "I suppose so."

Deimos strode cassually into the room, a single notebook and pencil under his arm, despite the extensive supplies his mother had gotten off the list. He looked around, now in a much better mood now that he was not sleep deprived. "'Lo Smalls. 'lo Mr. Bax.." He said, casting a smile/smirk in both thier directions. Magic class wasn't something he particularly loathed.

Ike yawned and stepped into the classroom carrying a large shoulder bag much like his mother's. He looked vaguely proper, wearing dress pants and a newly pressed shirt, although he fiddled nervously with his ponytail.
"Hey, Mr. Von...M. And Di. Dei," he grinned and nodded to each person in turn.

Stretching a bit himself he sat up in his chair and then stood. After waiting a few more moments, he went to th door frame, looking about the hall. Seeing no one he closed the door quietly. "Alright, I was expecting a larger class but this will do." The tall cat folk unbottoned his cuffs and then began to roll up his sleeves. "Aphrodite could you plase take your seat? Class is beginning."
"Yes Mr. Bax." She giggled flying towards a spot in the middle of the long desk infront of an open blank notebook, a small bag of pencil tips and erasers.
"Alright, um yes... I'd like you two to stay in the front desk since there aren't very many of you today." He placed his hands in his pockets waiting for the other two to take a seat.

Deimos ambled over to the seat by APhrodite and planted himself down, opening his notebook. He was in a dreadfully good mood today, having slept well the past few days. He peered over to Aphrodite for a moment and smiled. "Thanks SMalls.." He said, a belated thank you, before he turned to Ike and nodded a greeting. The dreamcatcher may not have helped, but ti certainly did look nice.

Ike sat down beside Deimos with an emotional huff, being in an exceptionally bad (and slowly worsening) mood. He opened a notebook and twirled a pencil between his long fingers, resting his head in his other hand.
There was no point in speaking. He'd learned this quick.

Aphrodite blushed. "You're welcome."He nodded to both Diemos and Ike. "Thank you. Now to start class off I would liek to give you three the syllabus for this class, even though I think two of you have received the first version.. This is the revised version." He turned his back to the three children for a moment pulling out three stapled papers. Making his way to Ike first, placing the two pieces of papers there were stapled together that clearly read 'Class Syallabus' on his desk. Proceeding to Deimos and then to Aphrodite.
After he handed out the sheets, he then leaned back on his deak looking at the three of them. "This lists the subjects we will be going over through this introductory class, also the supplies you must bring with you to class, a good majority of it you'll be leaving here.. such as the the art supplies unless they are needed for homework." Pausing a moment his half lidded gaze stared for a moment. "Any questions?"

Deimos picked up the sylabus, flipping through ti, just glancing at it. "Why're we doing dueling so late?" He asked, spotting how low it was on the list. He wanted to get right to the action, but b y the looks of this, there'd just be a lot of talking..

Ike flipped lazily through the syllabus, reading it quickly and shaking his head. It was official. Bax had gone loony.
"Yeah," he blinked and peered up at the teacher, "How do we wear saftey goggles if our eyes aren't in the front of our bloody faces, and our ears aren't on the sides?" He scoffed and turned away.

Bax chuckled softly, shaking his head. "..And that's why it's stated they will be provided for you. We won't be doing any labs that will need goggles yet and thus you'll be fitted for them... and as for Dueling.. The list there isn't the order of the lessons. Dueling lessons will come as soon as you get your defensive spells at least somewhat mastered." He crossed his arms over his chest.
"Oh yes, on the second sheet, towards the bottom I need that signed by your parents so you can participate in our more interesting lab assignments. " He smiled as he moved towards his desk pulling out a file that was given to him by Jabir. "Are there anymore questions?"
Having a bit of difficulty turing the page, Aphrodite was looking over the supplies list. "How come we need art supplies Mr. Bax?" She asked, as she raised her hand.
"Well, actually I was glad you asked that. Art is something essential with magic, but also the things I listed are supplies for the more practical half of magic as well. Such as drawing magic circles with chalk.. whicg is easy to clean. Or painting runes, and so forth. Colors are very important since they hold alot of meaning... Red for passion and love, blue for sadnes.. Purple for secrets.. just to name a few examples."

Deimos said nothing about the snide comment he though about this being magic class, not art, but he remembered the things his mother did with RUnes and portals, and he wanted to learn that.
"So.. what are we gonna do today?" He asked, expecting a lon g lecture or something.

Ike grumbled under his breath in broken Drow. This wasn't going to be an enjoyable mandatory class, but what else could he do?
Sucky power. Sucky class. Sucky life.
Liam had much more interesting ways of getting things done, he remembered. Like the pentacle carved in his floor.
Kill him.
"No," the boy whispered as he opened his notebook, pretending to ready himself for taking notes.

The catfolk's ears twitched, his half lidded gaze stared intently at Ike for a moment before he proceeded. "Today I was hoping to discuss the alignments and what exactly they can do... also I wanted to show you the Controled Enviroment after break, since the first half of class isn't going to be very difficult.
"Also, I forgot to mention something int he syllabus. You are allowed to leave during break, but you must be back before time is up." Baxterfullous made his way towards the black board as he began to write the word 'Fire' on the board in a deep red colored chalk. "Now since this is the most well known alignment I will begin with this one..." he place the chalk for a moment as he looked up at the three and then scribbled down a few notes. Turning his attention back to the class. "Now Deimos! This is you're alugnment, what can you tell me about bit? How does it make you feel that Fire is your alignment? ... And how much do know about your alignment?"
Laying flat on her belly all the while kicking her legs up in the air, she held her pencil tip in her hand. Waiting for the chance to begin taking notes.

"I know I can burn things." He started of, with the easiest question. "What else can you do with fire, ya know? I.." He paused trying to think how it made him feel. He recalled the first time he used his flames. "Fire makes me feel powerful. I can take anything on with it." He said honestly.
