What a gorgeous day~
The thought permeated through Esperenza's very being as she poked around through the brush searching for colorful berries in which she made her "masterpieces" from. Honestly, she wasn't all that good at it. Perhaps she knew this and didn't care, or she didn't and believed she was the Van Gogh of the Soquili world. Either way, she was a very happy Soquili, lacking any kind of stress or problems.
Behind her lay piles of odd objects, from long strips of tree bark, to bright berries, pinecones, and even a large ceramic bowl of honey that was freshly taken from a nearby hive. A sneeze issued from the bush she had her nose in, and she withdrew it, sneezing once more. She was a mess. Her nose was covered in dark blue berry juice, and twigs stuck in her short mane. What a sight!

Terrance was enjoying walking around the land on a day as nice as today was. It wasn't to hot or to cold, it was just the way he liked it. The only thing was he had no idea where he was going, since he wasn't that great with directions. So like every other day he just wandered around the land looking for anything interesting. An then he heard what sounded like a sneeze. The moment he heard it,he quickly turned his head and looked all around him. Maybe this was the interesting thing he was looking for, he thought to himself. "What was that?" he said quietly under his voice as he looked around curiously. It didn't take long until he heard another sneeze like noise. As he listened this time, he was able to follow the noise to a bush. So he slowly walked towards it and as he got closer he saw something he never expected to see. A mare covered in objects. Without even thinking he quickly raced up to the mare, "Are you okay...? You look like you had a tangle with that bush," he said politely with a smile.

Esperenza giggled as she turned to look at the startled stallion who had suddenly appeared. "I'm perfectly fine~" She said with a shake of her head. Small brambles and broken twigs showered from her mane, and she smiled at the stallion and his worried expression. A tongue lashed out to lick her lips, purple-blue stains showing on her tongue. "So much for collecting berries for my painting," She said with another shake of her head. "The first berries of spring were a little too sweet to resist. though I must admit, they were a bit on the tart side." She stopped her rambling to look closely at the stallion, taking his appearance in stride, unhindered by sudden things happening.
"I'm sorry, I must be such a sight. My name is Esperenza, and you dear stallion? What do I call thy humble self?" She was all smiles, her gold eyes peering at the male, appreciating the colors of his fur, and the beautiful piece of fabric that hung around his neck. Oh! There was another too! How curious.

As Terrance watched her lick her lips he couldn't help but let out a laugh. The mare looked both cute and silly while she was licking her berry stained lips. She sure was a sight to random run into but she seemed so happy it made him smile. "I'm glad your alright miss, and really? Well I can understand that since who doesn't like sweet treats, they are rather irresistible," he said with a lick of his own lips as he looked towards the mare. With random thoughts of just how wonderful some berries would be right now. Though what he wasn't sure about was how purple-blue lips would look on him. He probably wouldn't look half as good as a mare would. As he thought of that he quietly laughed in his mind at his silly thought.
It wasn't long before the mare's voice brought him back to earth. She "Oh and I'm Terrance, its a pleasure to meet you Esperenza," he said with a slight bow of his head. As he slowly began to rise he took a quick glance at her mane on accident. When he did he noticed she still had some twig in her hair. So without even thinking he took his left hoof and gently removed it from her mane. "Looks like you missed some," he said with a slight blush and laugh as he dropped the piece to the ground beside him.

She found herself almost laughing at the minute gesture. It was kind, and something she hadn't experienced. Shaking her mane, her gold eyes smiled as she looked at the kind stallion. "Why thank you, Terrance. Very kind of you." She murmured. As he stepped forward, she was able to inspect the garment around his neck. It was the color of bruised berries... no, perhaps that was her strange enticement with this lovely berry bush she had found. Painting had been a wonderful pastime for her, and she had learned how to use different things to make brilliant colors, like ochre with it's vibrant red, or blueberries, which strange as it was to her, created purple. Who knew!
Smiling, she looked up at Terrance. "I bet I am a terribly messy sight for you. Oh goodness, I always forget how to look for company. You must forgive me!" She shook her head, her voice breathless as she fought back a laugh. "Perhaps to quell my terrible manners, would you care to sample my find?" She said, her head tilting toward the berry-laden branches. "I'm sure I would not hurt to lose a few of them." She said, winking mirthfully at him.
