A storm rumbled in the distance, darkening the skies and causing a frown to crease the mare's face. A wisp of wind confirmed her fears. The wet, balmy smell that signified the beginning of the spring rains was permeating the air like a perfume. "So much for a warm day..." Her frown deepened. She would need to find shelter before the storm hit, or she'd be a sitting duck in this clearing.

Digging her hooves into the soil, she began to gallop toward the forest's edge. Besides being in the clearing, she also did not want to get wet. She wove her way through the trees, her eyes turning left and right as she searched. Until she finally spotted it, a deep indent in the rock. A shelter! She trotted down the hill till she reached it, and peered inside. She couldn't see anyone, but it was rather dark.

Seitting down her lantern, she nudged her fae awake. The lantern blazed to life, casting a sleepy glow a few feet into the cave. Sighing, Freya settled close to her lantern, her eyes looking upward at the skies as they darkened, blocking out the sun and casting the world into eerie shadows.
