I'm mostly asking because "I Wont Say I'm In Love" (from Hercules) has been stuck in my head for forever now. Gah! I love that song!

But I have others: "A Dream is A Wish" from Cinderella, "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast(especially the reprise! "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere..."), "Painting the Roses Red" from Alice in Wonderland, and from my childhood days(and one of my favorite Disney rides)"Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from Song of the South.

So now I want to hear all of your favorite Disney songs!

"Hellfire" from Hunchback of Notre Dame. That song seriously gives me chills...so does every song in that movie, actually. I like "I Won't Say I'm In Love" as well. It's so catchy ^.^

Honestly it would be a shorter list if I told you what songs I didn't like haha.

I Won't say I'm in Love is indeed super catchy. Once I start thinking about it, it gets stuck in my head and nothing can make it go away.

....oh, crap. >_<

Haha, well, let's see; other song favorites of mine would include Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), A Whole New World (Aladdin), and...! And..! And..! ......yeah, there are way too many to list. XD

Good topic.

I'm first going to say my usual; being AEIOU from Alice in Wonderland, mainly because of my obsession but also because I love the tune.

Another one I like is Be Our Guest (childhood memories) from Beauty and the Beast.

I'll have to mention that I love the music in The Hunchback of Notre Dame; especially Bells of Notre Dame; probably because that entire opening sequence/backstory is brilliantly done despite being upsetting. That movie was great for... er... I'll call it 'music-to-animation'; Hellfire is another example even though Frollo scares me.

I mean seriously... he has got to be the scariest villain...

Yes! Frollo is by far the best Disney villain, if you don't count the ones that represent pure evil.

I wouldn't say he's my favourite, just because he scares me so much; but I'll agree that he's one of the best villains because of that... or something. ^^;

God Help the Outcasts (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Part of Your World, part two especially, the one after she saved Eric. (Little Mermaid)
Home (Beauty and the Beast (The Musical))
Go the Distance (Hercules)
You've Got a Friend in Me (All the Toy Story's)
One Dance (Was cut from The Little Mermaid, but it's still Disney)
A Whole New World (Aladdin)
Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast, I would honestly hope it would be Lol)
Gaston (Beauty and the Beast (I just like the way he acts in a way. I've always liked bad guys that are full of themselves.)
Kiss the Girl (Little Mermaid)
Les Poisson (Little Mermaid)
Reflection (Mulan)
Out There (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Edit:
So Close (Enchanted)
That's How You Know (Enchanted)

There's more, but it would take to long to list all.

Gah! I love hearing them all! I might have to add some more to my own list!

Keep 'em coming everyone!

Have you(or anyone else in the thread for that matter) ever read the real book, of HOND?

I read it in high school(and let me tell you, it's chilling.) It doesn't have the happy ending like the movie. And it's much darker.

But even though it's a lot darker, Frollo isn't the bad guy. It's that other guy...the blond one...gah! I can never remember his name! The solder!

Disney paints him as the nice one, but in the book he's despicable!

Actually no I haven't read it but I really want to read it; I love Victorian era literature (written in the Victorian era I mean; I'm well aware its not set in the Victorian era). I'll have to buy it at some point; though I do know its darker than the movie.

Hmmm... I didn't know Frollo wasn't the villain though; however I do know that he was the Archdeacon and not a Judge... and had a brother? I think.

You're telling me that Phoebus is the villain? Okay that I didn't know.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 20, 2011 6:52 pm

THAT'S his name! Phoebus...no wonder I can't remember it.

Ya, I could tell you why, but I'm sure you would rather read it.

Okay... the first one always makes me sad anyway because my father had an affair and left (though he does visit... and actually we're the ones that moved house originally); and in a different language it still makes me upset. Very nice song though!

The second one... wow! Dramatic! Well the song is dramatic anyway but you know what I mean... very very interesting.

I like hearing the songs or scenes in different languages, I've watched the Caterpillar scene from Alice in Wonderland in a lot of different languages. ^^;

I love Disney songs in other languages. I will admit I mostly listen to the French versions since they are so good.

Yes, Pheobus is a "bad" guy. Actually he is more horny then anything else. He likes raping his women then killing them to hide his affairs from his child aged fiance. Yep, great guy.
