Murasaki's father died when he was young, so he has lived with just his mother for most of his life. He has a close relationship with his mother and is very protective of her.
He has been best friends with Violet all his life, but they are a bit more distant since Murasaki struggled to deal with Violet's homosexuality.
He can often be too forward, and usually scares away all the girls he tries to flirt with. He is attracted to Magenta and refuses to take her repeated rejection. He also finds Rose attractive, but would never let her know (for fear of the wrath of her brother, as well as being intimidated by her ambiguous sexual orientation).
A lot of things make Murasaki uncomfortable because he likes to stick to what he knows is "normal". Chartreuse, Rouge and Schwarz are some of the things which make Murasaki uncomfortable. He is intimated by others with louder personalities and more forwardness than he.
