My favorite characters are Haseo and Atoli cause Haseo likes to beat up people and Atoli is nice and funny sometimes! I finished all the dot hack games but my fav is GU...I don't like Shino a lot sweatdrop Idk why... rofl

Hi everyone! I'm Bearnaise, and I'm 18 years old. I got into .Hack// when I was just a sprout. I know tons and tons about .Hack// but I'm not an encyclopedia, and I have not completed G.U. but have been told spoilers. sweatdrop I'm a literate RPer, but I must say I'm not one to be like a main character. No, not nearly. ^^;;

My favourite characters in .Hack// Infection/Mutation/Outbreak/Quarantine:
Mistral- She's so much like myself when it comes to gaming. She's always silly and a touch forgetful, and seems like a total child, when in fact, she takes you by surprise once you get to know her.

Moonstone- He's very quiet but also seems like he's graceful and misunderstood. I think he really does care, but just doesn't show it. Because of internet personality or maybe that's the way life made him in real life. His character design is quite interesting, and his voice is heart-melting. 4laugh

Terajima Ryoko- Her character design is quite lovely, but a touch plain to be honest. I love her hair and wings more than anything, and I kind of like the fact that she can't defend herself even though she has such a huge weapon. She's very sweet, and adorable.

My favourite characters in .Hack// G.U.:
Atoli- At first, I really, really hated her. Just because when you play as Haseo, you tend to think about people the way he does, or at least I do. But to be honest, she games the exact same way I do. She loves the relaxing, non-violent part of The World. I tend to be simple in games, and not go where the action is unless required. And she cares for people, even if she hasn't met them offline.

Tri-Edge/Azure Kite- This favourite is mainly because of character design. Kite was cute, but the way Azure Kite looks is amazing. The haunting, morbid personality, and his frightening expression are just....fanworthy to me, I suppose. He's the embodiment of "Oh s**t--" if you follow me. (Pardon my language but you know it's true! 4laugh )


Endrance- The way he speaks, his voice, his appearance, his avatar, all of them are so wonderful. Macha is one of my favourite phases of Morganna, and I think the user expresses that in Endrance quite well. He is every fangirl's dream, though I rarely fangirl, haha.


Ovan- Purely character design and voice, really, his manner of speaking really mesmerizes me. 3nodding

Hey, Im Antonio, and I have been a fan of .Hack for... about as long as I can remember, I started out buying Infection and it took off from there. My favorite characters would be
1. Haseo
2. Balmung
3. Shino

I've loved the idea of .hack and have kept up with the series vividly

Bonjour. I'm Cobalt (or Mist, whichever you prefer)! I'm a fan of dot hack gu, saw it on youtube, 'cause I don't have a ps2, even though I would much like to play gu myself. Oh, and I did read the manga. So cute, Haseo and Atoli. heart Um, well, since everyone else is doing it and I'm a conformist, my favourite character is...Kuhn! Yupyup, even though he's a womanizer, I like his attitude. Next favourites are Atoli and Haseo. Both of them REALLY annoyed me on their first meeting, but they get better, thankfully. And Silabus. Can't forget Silabus. He's so awesome. I'd totally join Canard if I had the chance. I have a problem with Sakaki in the games, and Kazumi in the manga. Yup, they really grate on me.

Um...since I never played the game...if you have to rengeki to raise job level, how does a Macabre Dancer level up if they're flying solo? Do they use their spells in place of arts?

I'm Lucian, I'm 18, I started .hack actually when I was about 7 or 8 and started with mutation.

I've beaten all except Quarantine. I haven't even had a chance to play it at all. I haven't really seen much of the animes because I've never really had cable, and don't get much chance to find them online. I do remember one episode of the series that IMOQ is based on, I don't know the name of the series, or the name of the episode, but If I manage to find it (unlikely) then I'll post a link to it. It's one of the reasons why Blackrose is one of my favorite characters.

My favorite character from IMOQ is Mia, because I personally think she's cute. After that it would be Blackrose. I don't care that much for really any of the others.

My favorite from G.U. is actually not a playable character. It's Kitty Ladle, for the same reason as Mia. I find her to have the cutest PC in the game. Playable character would be Alkaid.

Then Haseo, because he reminds me of me. We are both loners, who believe that if we have nobody close to us then we can't get hurt, but then we get our thoughts turned around by a girl that we fall in love with, without even realizing that we are falling in love.

After that it's Endrance, and Pi, because I've found them to be good fighters.

But Ark is correct. The rengeki only gives a boost to the amount of EXP you get. You still get EXP for just beating the monsters, or whatever it is you're fighting. But the later of your two questions is, I'd say, yes. I suppose they would use a magical 'art' in place of a physical one.
