For those who don't know PETA is the most famous Animal Rights Organization in the world (PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and it's against anything that kills animals for food, clothing, medicine and other purposes. But a lot of people hate PETA not because they are against Animal Rights but for these reasons (I'm not sure if all of them are true I just heard these) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lR2DE-mGf00(make sure you watch part 2, 3, and 4, you can watch all you want make sure you don't believe everything you learn) I'm not for PETA but at the same time I'm not against Animal Rights, I think the best thing you guys should do is at least never wear Fur, and that you love and respect animals, you don't really have to be a vegan.

The thing is PETA's says everyone has to be vegan and everyone has to be totally against anything that can harm an animal. They're kind of psycho, I love animals and want to volunteer and my local shelter and when I get older be a vet and foster animals, but that doesn't mean I can't eat meat or occasionally wear leather (but I don't).

If PETA weren't such extremists...
It seems often times they'd rather kill the animal than have animals in contact with humans whatsoever. They're infamous for putting pet dogs to death in southern Virginia anyways.
I'm all for animal rights, but there's also got to be a line drawn.

I have heard of PETA members doing some pretty extreme and even violent things towards others. Plus, I feel that as a human (member of the food chain which is totally natural) eating animals and using resources from animals is kay within moderation. So I suppose I am against it. That does not mean that I hate animals and are for cruel animal treatment. Too many confuse that.

They go for shock and awe, rather than sitting down and explaining how things could be better. I'm not a vegetarian nor do I think everyone should be one, but I respect those who are.

I am all for sharing the world and I would save an abused pet, but that does not mean that I would turn down a hamburger or would turn down a pair of leather shoes.

Me too, and also care for endangered animals. I think what's proper for people is to only care for animals if they need care.

OH GOOD CRAP AGAINST.
And, just so you know, if you have an animal as a pet they are against YOU too. One of their core beliefs is the extinction of domestic animals because they aren't natural. Also that having pets is like slavery. Also that even all ANIMALS should be vegetarian. And that blind people shouldn't be allowed seeing eye dogs. ETCETERA.

I'm for animal welfare (such as rescuing stray animals) but PETA is just too damn stupid! Apparently, Ingrid Newkirk and her minions use arguments that appeal to emotion without even studying nature. It's pathetic to say the least and barbaric to say the worst!
