Yay another fight!! This one is between Eko and Skide, My new character and Diablo's character. This is to help us get a feel of our characters and warm up for the real RP.
The setting is on a cliff in the Ellion(I spelled that wrong..) mountains. It is cloudy and not that warm, the sun shines through the clouds and theirs no snow on the ground but its a little windy.

The wind blew skides hair gently as he ran his hand threw it. He had his eyes closed until he felt the wind stop then he slowly opened his eyes and looked at his opponent. This area was perfect for him. Nothing to block his ability to manipulate the wind and lots of room to move around. Well except the cliff. That was one thing he had to look out for. He was looking forward to this fight. He gently touched his dagger and took a offense stance. "Whenever you are ready my friend." Skide said and smiled, waiting for him to make the first move.

Eko entered the arena, wary of his surroundings. The wind was of an alright speed, good for flying and fire. Also good for his wind, but he would see how that went as the fight traversed. His wings were tucked into his jacket, his sword sheathed on top of them. The sword was in a way heavy, but Eko had trained enough that walking with it unsplit was easy. The fighting was his only trouble.

The wind blew back his hair, giving him a little freshness. It didn't make him cold however, he never got cold. HE could see his opponent now, standing with a dagger drawn. Eko eyed him calculatingly, his foes words skipping right off of him. He did not seem to be dangerous but then again most opponents did not. The man in front of him might actually be holding something special, element or skills Eko could not tell. It probably had something to do with the environment. Eko himself considered the fact of wings but no, no sign of any upon his back. That left only wind.....interesting.

Eko drew himself upward drew his sword, heavy but he was strong enough to swing it like a normal sword for a good length of any fight. But he always had a solution just in case however. He shot forward and delivered a fast swinging blow, flipping back before preparing another fast strike. Time to scope out the prey.

Skide toke note that his opponent was just after what he was there to do. No fun. Skide manipulated the wind, forcing his first swing to miss, the second he jumped back to dodge, the sword grazing his arm. 'Faster then I thought...'
Skide once again manipulated the wind and made it spin quickly around his dagger, making it sharper and more painful then a normal dagger. He then quickly dashed at Eko and ducked down last minute, swinging his arm and aiming to cut his ankle.

Eko leapt back in a flip, not revealing his wings, as he dragged the sword on the ground. Cold amusement went through EKo's mind, along with thoughts of how to use the surroundings to his advantage but to no avail. Eko was proven correct once more, his foe being another wind user but his foe was a VERY GOOD user to what he could see. No, not yet. He moved back forward, swinging in an arc before flipping over his foe, and attempting an attack from behind. His mind kept on racing as he tried to find holes in Skide's defenses, strategies blooming in his mind of the best way to kill or incapacitate his foe.

Eko backed off once more after he finished his second attack. He seperated his sword into two diffrent blades, grasping the wind sword tightly.

Due to a mix of inactivity in the fight as well as a lack of concern for the ending of the fight, I officially declare the fight, Eko v. Skide, to be a no contest. No one wins >.< A new fight may now take place here.

The Announcers Sister?

We have another fight opening as of this moment. This fight will take place between Eko Tsurugi and Raiikel Atheris. The Feild is set as a fog covered forest with the very center of the forest being opening on a small lake. Among the trees are platforms that the combatants can travel by without ever actually touching the ground. The arena is not well lit so it is entirely possible that the fog may show shifting shapes that resemble human forms, but are not at all and are rather just images. I wish you luck.

Eko slowly walked into the Arena, his breathing quiet with his wings tucked in behind him. The area was cool, slightly dark, with an underlying fog throughout it's midst. Eko's eyes remained sharp, the Dragarian in him allowing to see through the mist's tricky games but still, even with that upper hand, his senses were alert. His breathing remained at a soft minimum, his ears keen. Even his walking was gentle, avoiding stepping on sticks on the ground. My opponent could be anywhere. He concluded, entering the depths of the woods now, getting away from the opening gate.

Platforms lined in the heights of the trees, some small birds perched there as well as other small animal life. It was precious, and hopefully, Eko wouldn't have to resort to destroying all of it within this fight. The mercenary boy had been raised by his parents as well as his tribe not to cause harm to life unless the situation desperately called for it. Even now, he could hear the birds talking, a result of years and years of meditation with flying life forms. But then again, all the birds were generally thinking was Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine Which became quite monotonous after quite a while. So he blocked them out. Now to actually move.

Eko made the first move and leapt/flew up to a platform that was surrounded in pine trees, with considerable height as well. He could achieve an over view from here. But as he looked about, he realized something. The weather wasn't that bad, no signs of rain apparent. Mist....either it was contributed to the Arena by other means or it was coming naturally, either from hot springs or from another body of water. There must be a lake. Now, Eko was perched in the middle of the platform....searching throughout the forest thoroughly. Finishing this fight with one blow would be good, but having the first strike made that difference.

The Druid had already entered the arena, although unlike usual only wearing one layer of robing. There was bound to be a fight here, rather the golden eyed boy could help it or not, as after all, this was the purpose of an Arena. The extra mobility would be an asset in any case. With a bit of a sigh, he felt the cool air brush against him as he came by in a gentle breeze, the fog weakly reacting to it, slightly shifting. Making darker blotches of shapes momentarily, before dispersing and blowing away as he stepped further inside.

With a smile, he put a hand on one of the trees and just for a moment admired the area here. Beautiful, lush and green with so much life inside of it, even if he could only see the surface layer for now. Though after a moment he pushed off of the tree to the task at hand, luring out his opponent to see who it was. So, taking a four foot or so branch off of the ground, a pretty good find, he stuck it into the ground and simply cast Light on it. Making the object shine like a torch as he stepped back into a shadow of the tree.

Unless destroyed, this light would be both a lure and a landmark for his opponent, not to mention a simple source of light. Whispering a few words to himself, he casted Barkskin on himself, his skin turning harder and much like the bark on the tree's around him. Helping him blend in at a glance. Then, Hide from Animals, a quite self explanatory spell, and waited for his opponent to make a sign that he was around. Or hopefully come to the light source he had made.

Eko could distinguish it already, a source of light. It came not too far off, giving Eko an objective point. But not one that he would confront head on, he didn't have to. He didn't even need the light to see, but it gave him a point to move towards. Which was what he did, gently, he jumped from platform to platform, getting closer and closer towards his foe. But when he became close enough, he would have to be careful, he didn't want his foe to find out who he was. But then came the matter of fire. Eko could only guess fire user at the moment. But events would unfold.

Landing on the platform, he gazed at the man that was not too far away from him. Oh, he could see him. Eko's eyes could easily see through the camouflage that the man had made. Hm........perhaps the man could move fast.....but it was something to see and observe. Well....it was time to start. Eko held up his sword, separating it into two blades and threw the Wind blade at the man, watching for how the man would react.

Staying silent and still, his eyes kept the area under watch as he waited for someone to approach. Whether stealthily or loudly, it wouldn't be too hard for the Druid to detect anything that wasn't natural to the area. Well, mostly though, his senses weren't unbelievable sharp, as he didn't know the enemy had already had his eyes on Raiikel for a short time now. Although, the snaps of twigs and smalls limbs from the path of the sword caused him to turn his head in time to notice a sword only moments from hitting him. And for him the choice was to either move or die.

Dropping somewhat and pushing off of the tree in a hurry, he managed to barely dodge the sword as it hit the ground with a heavy thud, the blade cleanly a fourth of a foot into the ground. And quickly moving, he grabbed the blade's hilt and yanked until he manged to and pull it out of the ground, taking a step back and carefully examining the higher parts of the trees as for where the blade had come from. Not exactly feeling it's weight yet. Seeing something darker and blacker then what was naturally in the forest, he took the safe guess and assumed that was him. Or, maybe a hidden play of the fog.

That's right! Raiikel couldn't see clearly through it, but then his opponent seemed to be able to. Might as well try and make it rougher on the both of them visually, hoping this wouldn't back fire in his face. "Obscuring mist." He muttered quietly, rolling back behind the tree for cover, as more fog came pouring out of his robes and after a moment the Druid moving once again hoping the fog had thickened enough to even the visual prowess of both combatants. But for now, he could wait again and hold his breath, wanting his foe to lose his advantage of sight.

His opponent hadn't done anything in a nice wary bit of time, and by now the fog around the area had thickened considerably due to Raiikel's influence to it. So thick and cloudy, he could almost see his arms movements through the brief reprieve each motion had. Spinning around and off of the tree he was hiding behind, he snapped off a branch of a low hanging limb, "Shillelagh." He muttered, the three foot long piece of word hardening to his word as he smiled, spinning it around for a moment, blowing a bit of the obscuring fog away for a moment, as he eyed the spot he had scene what he assumed to be his opponent earlier.

Pulling his arm back, the Druid focused for his moment, before throwing his body and arm forward, sending the piece of wood spinning in the air towards where he thought Eko was at. The piece of wood moving in a slight ark. "Magic fang." Raiikel then said, casting another spell as he slid his arms back slightly, bending them a bit as his hands changed slightly, forming large claws while strong fangs grew in the Homunculus' mouth. Now he could only wait to see what his opponent would do, as Raiikel had no idea where the guy was at honestly.

Eko was sitting, meditating...listening to the sounds of the woods. He could hear the faint crack and a muttering in the clearing near him. The fog itself held no disruption with his vision but he still couldn't see his enemy. Using his seal, he had returned the blade back to him, itself back into it's original form.

But then he heard a whistling. A stick shot right into a tree about ten feet away from him, Eko realizing that the enemy was not too far away from his position. Now it the time to act. Quickly he leapt into the air off of the platform, shooting four blades of wind around him in a circle, the air cutting through the tops of the trees with ease, causing six ten foot lengths of tree to fall towards the ground, where he knew his enemy lay. But with that, he shot two balls of explosive fire, themselves causing a catastrophic explosion as soon as they hit, Eko himself taking flight; his form covered by the mist as he took high into the sky to assess the damage dealt down below.

"That isn't natural..." He muttered, the blades of wind cutting sharply through fog and mist alike, giving themselves away as they sliced cleanly through the trees. Frowning, he didn't know if his opponent was just doing an indirect attack, or just trying to clear out some of the area for some other purpose. However, as the long, heavy pieces of wood fell towards him, Raiikel only smiled, knowing nature was his element and that he could turn this to his advantage for the most part. "Wood Shape!" He shouted, another flow of magic running through him.

Bringing a first up, he hit a piece of the word, it bent to his will, arcing to fall down around and over him, protectively. "Wood Shape!" He shouted again, burning away another spell as he hit another one of the ten foot pieces of wood, the pair of them making a protective barrier for him. The rest of the wood landing harmlessly on this pair, and taking a peak out once they had hit the ground, and immediately noticing the two balls of flames shooting towards him.

Raiikel unfortunately didn't have that much time to react, or to try and think of a way to negate the fire, instead only hoping his wooden shield could hold. But it didn't, the explosive flames tore the wood apart, throwing dirt, grime and splinters of the wood in all directions. The druid was thrown himself, more then a few feet away, doing one bounce off of the ground before rolling twice to a painful, groaning stop. Then, slowly, Raiikel began to rise to his knee's, his eyes searching the area for his opponent, but now just focused. His opponent couldn't hide much longer.

Sorry for the interruption, Ladies and Gentlemen, but I have made the decision to step forth and intervene momentarily as I have witnessed something which has caught my attention.

Eko, it may not be my place to say this since for all I know the Dragarian race has uber-powerful eyesight and senses, but I would like to point out that for most creatures, if not all, fog is pretty damn hard to see through. At this point the match has continued onward before I had the chance to witness what was going on and comment but for future references you have to limit yourself. While it is fine to play a race that has heightened senses or some special way of sensing others --an example of that being that my featherfolk race can feel vibrations and currents in the air with the aid of the wings on the sides of their heads that act like ears-- please take into consideration that even such senses must fail us from time to time. Sometimes, there are things we just can't do.

Don't forget that even in a case where there is no light, our cave battle for instance, sight is also impossible due to the fact that vision works by catching the light that is reflected off of the surfaces of things around us (I believe). If there is no light to reflect there can be no sight, something to think about in future battles.

That is all, carry on with the match and good luck to the both of you.
