So I was setting out letters for a secret kandi project I'm working on. My plan was to spell "wuv" a bunch of times. So I had a bunch of W's, a bunch of U's, and a bunch of V's lined up... then I moved my computer, and the cord ran into them and scattered them. Relevant visual. Also, don't you HATE it when you've finished a piece, you're going to tie it off, aaaaaand the beads slide off and scatter? gonk Talk about the difficulties and frustrating moments of kandi-making here.

Holy crap yes. Either that happens, or I'm tying it, and I accidentally tie it way too tight and the string breaks, and beads EXPLODE EVERYWHERE. D<

Or just now when I realized, RIGHT AT THE END, that I'd started the whole layer wrong, and if I want it to look right, I have to go back to the very beginning and redo it. gonk

If ^that happens, I usually just ignore it the best I can xD Or cover it with something, haha
My brother has accidentally kicked my bead organizers multiple times now, and my nicely organized beads get all mixed up in the wrong compartments >_< At least he helps clean it up =P

Yeah like when I'm doing a pattern cuff and I realize I messed up on the bottom row and I'm like 5 rows in then I have to re-do it over and since I'm using 1 piece for the entire thing I have to take each bead off to get down to the problem row. Also yes that has happened where I finish the single or double and tie too tight and bead explosion everywhere.

this is all the things and more that have happened to me:
*have beads organized in an amazing and complicated pattern on the floor where I am sitting and my dog randomly decided to attack me and flings the beads to god knows where
*have beads organized in an amazing and complicated pattern on the floor where I am sitting and my bf moves our game consol controller and the cord flings the beads to god knows where
*tieing a piece and the string slips from my fingers and they all slide off the string
*tied string too tight and the string snaps and beads explode everywhere.
*make a cuff and then realized that 2 rows ago you ******** up and have to take it entirely apart.
*completed something amazing and realized you ******** up at the very begining that you can no longer reach and have to take it apart entirely again to fix it
*my dog randomy decides to attack me and trips over my bead organizer and beads go everywhere, all over the floor, and into the wrong bead spots. (this happens entirely way too much unfortunately. it makes me want to give up even having it lol)
*thinking of a way awesome super cool piece of kandi when your intoxicated from something, and then being too intoxicated to do it. lol. always messing up, putting the wrong bead on, not being able to tie the string getting side tracked and/or zone out for 2 seconds and forgetting what you were doing. lol

I once kicked a bead box as I was going to bed. Not only did I mess up the beads, but I also hurt myself a little bit. gonk

My biggest and most recent frustration has been, I had all my beads organized...colors, and letters...and I stuck the organizers in a backpack to take with me on a baby sitting job...and the containers fracking opened...now there are beads all in the bottom of my backpack...they will now be put into a large plastic bag and dealt with at a later time.

I used to trip over my bead box all the time. D: then I realized I could just use my bottom dresser drawer to store all my beads. It actually works really well.

Bumping this because I think it's still a relevant thread :3
Also, being out of string. I haven't had string for months now, and it's killing me x_X I mean, i have enough to make some singles, but I REALLY wish I could make cuffs >_<

If I realize I've messed up a pattern, it doesn't matter how far along I am in the process, I'll unravel the whole thing to fix it. I'm just too OCD to let that go. I've only lost all the beads on a string maybe twice; I usually let the strung beads rest on a table or in my lap so even if I drop the string they'll mostly stay in place. And I've never had string break from being tied too tightly. Maybe it's because I use the fabric-covered elastic most of the time? As for those complicated patterns, I always plan things out on paper or my comp, so it's not a big deal if the beads get mixed up in the middle of the process.
The worst for me was a little over a year ago, actually. I was moving out of my apartment, and work had been crazy so I'd put everything off until the last minute. I had to be out by midnight or the landlord was saying I'd have to pay at least part of the next month's rent (stupid, since they couldn't immediately rent it out anyway, so what difference would a few hours make?). 11 PM, my bead box (as in a huge box full of smaller bead containers, only a couple of them properly sealed) was the last thing that needed carried out. Mind you, I'm really into crafting and jewelry-making, so this wasn't just pony beads and the like, but Czech glass, Austrian crystals, seed beads, all sorts of things.
So I have the very last box in hand and decide I don't want to come back downstairs just to turn out the lights, so I balance the box precariously on one shoulder as I turn out the lights, trip over the rug as I head for the door, the box goes flying, and suddenly I have thousands of beads everywhere. I wound up scooping them up as best I could with a cup someone had left in the hallway and just pouring them back into the box. I still haven't completely sorted through them all. I just have a tupperware container holding the haphazard mix until I need something.

I had that problem when I made my first cuff. It was a whole arm one and as soon as I got 3 rows up I realized I forgot the eyes on my robot -.-" I was really tempted to just paint on the eyes! I had been working on it for hours! Needless to say I went back and unraveled everything! sad
